Hi guys I am back with another OS, this one is small and simple. I hope you guys like it, ignore the mistakes...
OS: The care
it's 2:00 am and Nachiket has still not reached home, *Ragini said to herself roaming in the bedroom clutching her saari with both her hands in irritation*
Ragini: Kaha tha late aonga lekin itna late aur call karo tou phone band hai, aane do poochti hn.
As soon as she finished her sentence she saw him coming towards the building, through the window, she came out of the room entering the lounge, she checked if everyone was sleeping and everyone was sleeping which made her feel a bit comforted because she wanted him to answer each and every question which she decided to ask him about being so late, with no interference from anyone...
She opened the main door and waited for him to come, she saw him taking small steps towards the apartment as he was very tired, she noticed his loosened tie, messy hair and dull face, he reached the door and saw her standing with worry written all over her face, he greeted her with a very weak voice...
He entered the apartment, took off his coat and threw it on the sofa and placed himself in the most comfortable position on the other sofa, while Ragini closed the door and picked up his coat and properly folded it, Nachiket noticed it and said
Nachiket: Sorry, ainda nahi karunga bhool gaya tha
Ragini: Nahi it's ok koi baat nahi.
He gave a small smile to her, she replied with a wide smile, Nachiket saw it and realized that her smile is still the same, this is the same smile which greeted me whenever I was late and tired 18 years ago, he realized how her smile effected him and all of his tiredness and tensions flew away from him in just a moment and the same happened at that very moment, why is this smile the same as it was earlier in our marriage days, why am I feeling a bit relieved after watching her smile, *he questioned himself continuously staring her*
Ragini noticed his stare and asked him
Ragini: Kya hua? Aese kya dekh rahe ho?
Nachiket: Nahi kuch nahi bas aese he...
Ragini now wanting to ask him the reason about him being so late but she decided not to as he looked very tired and weak he wasn't even able to talk properly...
Ragini: Bohat thak rahe ho?
Nahiket: Hmmm han bohat lambi surgery thi phir sari formalities, bohat thak gaya, Sorry late ane k liye, kya krta mai kaam he itna tha aur upper se mobile ki battery bhi khatam hogayi thi warna batadeta k aur late hojaonga.
Ragini: nahi koi baat nahi hojata hai kabhi tum apni marzi se thori late hue ho.
Nachiket: Han, par tum kyun uthi ho ab tak, abhi tak tou tum apni gehri neend mein hoti ho phir aaj kyun?
Ragini had no answer about the questioned he just asked her in fact she asked the same question to herself as well but got no particular answer, she was standing there with no expressions on her beautiful face.
Nachiket motioned her to answer; Nachiket's heart wanted her to say that she was waiting for him; he was longing to hear it from her...
Ragini: Pata nahi wo neend nahi arahi thi. Tum fresh hojao mai khana lati hn tumhare liye *she said changing the topic*
Nachiket: Han thk hai, aur apne liye bhi le ana, *he said this getting up as he didn't wanted to make things difficult for her*
He said and went inside the room, he knew that she hadn't eaten because he was not there, this made Ragini smile she felt good that he still knows her so well...
She realized that after whatever happened between them, no matter in what circumstances they were married; there were few things which were still the same.
She smiled at her thought and went into the kitchen...
*Few minutes later*
She went inside the room where Nachiket just came out of the bathroom after taking a nice hot shower which made him look fresh, she asked him to join her on the dining table, he followed her with towel wrapped around his neck and water dripping down his hair...
*at the dinner table*
Ragini saw his wet hair and the towel around his neck she ordered him to dry his hair.
Ragini: Nachiket pehle baal sukhao warna thand lag jayegi phir khana khaana.
Nachiket: Arey han mai bhool gaya tha, he dried his hair with the towel still wrapped around his neck, he was only doing what Ragini was telling him to as he was himself not in the state of thinking because he just wanted to sleep.
Nachiket and Ragini ate their food and Ragini asked Nachiket to go inside the room and sleep
Ragini: Nachiket ab tum kamre mein jakey sojao bohat thak rahe ho aur bohat late bhi hogaya hai, mai ye sab saaf karke ati hn.
Nachiket held Ragini's hand, pulled her closer and thanked her looking straight into her eyes
Nachiket: Thank you!
Ragini: Kis liye? *she asked with a very confused look*
Nachiket: Mere liye itni der tak jagne k liye, mera intezar karne k liye, mere sath khana khane k liye, Thank you... *He was quite sure about the reason why she was awake so this time he said it*
He said and went inside the room leaving her stunned; she sat there for a minute or two thinking about the shiver she got from his delicate touch... She stood up and started clearing up the mess.
*15 minutes later*
Ragini entered the room and saw him sleeping with one hand on his chest and the other one on his eyes as the light was still on, she smiled at him, went up to him and covered him with the comforter, she turned off the light just for him to sleep peacefully, she knew that she wouldn't be able to sleep properly but him being by her side was enough for her to get some sleep.
She was going to her side of the bed when she saw his wet towel on the bed, this time she was not angry and was not even mad she picked it up and placed it on the chair near the bed so that it will dry, she did all of this with a smile on her face. While she was doing all this she was talking to herself in the lowest possible voice
Ragini: Hadd hai, jis kaam k liye mana karo wahi karna hota hai janab ko, agar itna thaka na hota aaj tou achhi tarhan khabar leti...
She came towards the bed and placed herself on the bed with her head rested on the headboard; she tilted her head towards the window and saw the moon shining, a small smile crept on her face and she realized that whenever anyone of them is in pain the other one forgets that this is just a contract marriage, they forget that they did this for their children, they forget everything and just come forward to help and comfort the other one, she knew that it was the care which didn't allow her to sleep until he reaches back home, she knew that now this is not only about the contract marriage this was about THEM as well, she was taken a back with this thought but she was somehow delighted about it...
She looked at him and smiled, she decided to let things happen the way they want to, she decided to go with the flow, she decided not to hold herself back...
She laid down, closed her eyes and dozed off to sleep...
