I can't stop myself from watching this show!

I can't understand why I keep coming back to watching this show, in spite of all the problems we endlessly complain/talk about on this forum.

I think it may have something to do with the flawed characters. Yes, not one character is without fault, and in some cases, the characters are complete disasters, but they are a big draw! Like real people. Almost like looking in the mirror. Or looking around at our own families and friends.

And the tear-jerking heart-tugging scenarios created around the children and the divorced parents, just keep me completely hooked!

I hate it when Ragini crumples, begs and cries for her children, but I can't stop watching.

I hate it when Neil changes his character like a chameleon: one minute he loves Ragini so much that, he wont eat unless she eats! And then suddenly he believes the worst of her. Doesn't allow her children to speak to her and he calls her "mad woman" in a room full of people.

Is it love or is it hate?

From the initial promos, I imagined this show to be like a movie where kids reunite their divorced but-still-in-love parents, and everyone lives happily ever after!

But this turned out very different and I am glad it not a fairly tale!

All the ugly innards of the a divorced-parent family is on display for viewing; and I can't stop myself from watching!!

There is always a point in any serial when I stop watching. Sometimes, after a couple of months or six months. It is usually one little thing that makes me say "enough".

So I am genuinely surprised that I am still watching IKNMP and still want to know what happens next week.

A little voyeuristic perhaps? 😕 A little peak into a family's private dirty laundry!
Whatever it is, the writers will be pleased that at least one viewer is not leaving - at least not just yet! 😆

I am one more such viewer.. though I am primarily watching for Ronit and Pallavi and their sizzling chemistry, I am watching it also for Nachiket and Ragini because everything that happens in the show is traced back to them.. hehe
I am such a goner for romance that I am sticking on for those elusive moments between these two.. agreed the show is so frustrating, but they've dangled this huge carrot in front of us!

Good Post .. Completely agree with you ..
However ridiculous the tracks might be .. I can't help myself from following it .. Followed it since its start.. Very tough to leave it mid-way.. Though I've lost my emotions for this Show .. not emotionally attached to it anymore .. as I used to be when it started ..

I appreciate all your replies to my post and agree that a big draw to this serial are the actors. Not just the leads, all the actors are very good and give stellar performances. Except for a few minor actors maybe.

If the acting is not good, then a show is dead from the start.

However, I feel there is something really compelling about this show, other than just the fine actors.

It can't be the story-telling or the story tracks. 😕 Neither is the story grounded in any kind of reality. And the lack of logic is well-documented.

It appeals to me at much more basic human level.
I think I need a sense of closure. I need a happy ending.

So I keep watching...
