During the night
Ragini joined Nachiket on the bed. Nachiket was reading some Medical Journal and Ragini picked up her book from the side table.
15 minutes passed and neither of them had said a word.
"Seriously Nachiket, you are not going to talk to me now?" Ragini said, closing her book and looking at him. Nachiket responded by flipping a page of his magazine. Ragini took the magazine from his hand.
"You are getting jealous of your own kids! Pagal ho gae ho kya?"
Nachiket looked at her and said, "As a matter of fact, Yes. I am jealous of my kids. But that doesn't make me mad." He said and took the magazine back from Ragini's hands. "Also, you were supposed to make up for something. Remember?"
"I remember that very well and I was going to too, but now, I'll rather sleep. Tell me when you are done being a child so that we can have a conversation that makes sense." Ragini said and turned off the light to go to sleep.
"Theek h. So jao tum." Nachiket said and laid down himself.
Half an hour had passed and neither of them had slept. Ragini was fidgeting but Nachiket was not. Ragini, who was angry earlier, now found the situation quite amusing. She turned around to look at Nachiket. He was sleeping on his back with his right arm covering his face. Ragini scooted closer to him and planted her face on his shoulder and wrapped her arm around his chest.
"Now you want to make up?" Nachiket said with a smirk.
Ragini, smiling, wrapped her arms tighter around him and said, "Shut up and sleep."
Nachiket brought his left arm around her waist and brought her closer and in a more comfortable position.
Ragini's hands were making small circles on Nachiket's chest.
"Nachiket.. So rahe ho?"
"Nahi.. Kya hua.."
"Ranbir asked me to feed him after 15 years."
"Are you happy?" Nachiket asked.
"Very"
Nachiket kissed over her head and cuddled her closer.
"Ranbir is just like you." Nachiket said.
Ragini smiled. "I know", She said and looked at Nachiket, "He always was like me. And I missed him."
"He missed you too." Nachiket said and they both shared a comfortable silence.
"Ragini, lets go" Nachiket said and got up.
"Ab kahan?"
"Chalo na.. Mujhe neend nahi aa rahi"
"Par mujhe to aa rahi h.."
"Chup chaap chalo.. Warna main utha k le jaunga" Nachiket warned.
A mischievous smile played on Ragini's face as he said that.
"Kitne din ho gae tumne mujhe nahi uthaya.. Ab tum uthake leke jaoge main tabhi jaungi" Ragini said playfully, imitating Agham.
"Acha.. To Agham bhi bilkul tumpe gaya h" Nachiket said and picked up Ragini in his arms. She wrapped her arms around his neck.
"Ab hum kahan ja rahe h.. Ye to batado"
"Ab hum kitchen mein ja rahe h.."
"Okay. But may I know why?"
"Darling, you are making up to me now. First for halwa and then for the car" Nachiket said and kissed her cheek.
Ragini blushed and said, "I would have loved to make up for the halwa but unfortunately there is no halwa left. Bachon ne sab khatam kar dia. Let me make up for car only." Ragini said teasingly.
Nachiket had reached the front of fridge with Ragini in arms. He looked at her, gave her a small peck on the lips and said.
"I need both. And we can replace halwa with ice-cream. Open the fridge door now." Nachiket motioned towards the Refrigerator. Ragini opened the door, picked the ice-cream brick and shut the door. Then Nachiket moved her around the kitchen as they picked up a bowl and spoon.
"Done" Ragini said as she picked a few paper towels.
Nachiket turned around and moved towards their room and then he stopped at the door.
"Kya Hua?" Ragini asked.
Nachiket had got an idea and a very mischievous smile was playing on his face.
"We are going to terrace."
"Par kyun?"
"Kitne sawal puchti ho Ragini"
