I will knock for sure
Her words were like a sharp jab
No tears to comfort and dab
All these years and miles
Had played havoc with his smiles
And left him desolate and dry
Because his heart would so often try
And succeed to escape
And dwell in the old memory space
Leaving him to deal all alone
With the echoes of his moans
For he wanted her closer than close
And now she says she is going to pause
Even when she is at his door
And knock for sure
Little does she know that he has kept
Every road,path,alley right and left
Widow,door, skylight which would
If she just followed could
Lead her straight into his home and hearth
