@TM - Good post.
The CVs are not developing Ragini's character properly. She is coming across as an egoistic, arrogant and judgemental woman. She judges others, comes to quick conclusions, and screams at Neil whenever she sees him. They have separated for 15 years, and from flashbacks it looks like it was an acrimonious divorce. But this long time should be enough to have given her some sense of composure or decorum. As a single mom raising two kids, she comes across as very insensitive, impatient rude and harsh. While the situation in her life should have made her more patient, composed, more reflective, more understanding and forgiving. The few things I seriously disliked about her:
(1) The way she insulted Jignesh's parents in trying to call off the marriage. She has no right to humiliate the boy's family when they are so loving and caring towards her daughter, and especially when her daughter loves Jignesh very much and is an equal partner in crime. She can try to make them understand why she is against the marriage, but why insult them?
(2) Her being rude with Neil despite Neil saving Nishi's life. Does Nishi's life means nothing to her? And Neil had saved her life without knowing that Nishi was his daughter. Should she not be a little more grateful towards her ex-husband?
(3) She fights for others, but what about her own kids. Is Ranbir only Neil's child? Is she not the mother? Should she not talk to Neil first and make Ranbir confess to the crime? I would say she is a very bad mother.
(4) Her fake marriage drama I find outrageous - she is driving Neil to madness by her false and undignified behavoir. At the same time she is an opportunist - taking advantage of Aman.
CVs need to give a makeover to her character if they want the audience to love both the leads. The more I see her the more irritated I am with her. She never smiles, always has a bad temper, is egoistic and narrow-minded. And if the heroin is not lovable, it is hard for the show to be a success.
