O.S. #1 - Just another Day

"Are you missing me? Or shall I stay back for few more days?"

Arnav really couldn't say if he was missing her or not. Since the day Khushi's gone to Lucknow to stay at her parents house for a week, he had been very much occupied with handling their two bundles of joy and office work. But he didn't want her to stay there more as he was actually looking forward to spending time with her again, talking to her and seeing her smile.

Arnav - No. You are coming back tomorrow. I won't postpone your ticket and I won't argue on that. Just come back.

Khushi - Acha theek hai Laad Governor, I'll come tomorrow. Actually I am missing my children so much. You didn't let me take them along.

Arnav - Khushi, you know I take care their extracurricular activities very serious. The Basketball tournament for juniors is nearing and I don't want them to miss their training in this period.

Khushi - Haan Haan theek hai. I know. Anyway, I saw today is Father's Day so I got Babuji a new Kurta Pyjama and spent a lot of time with him. How was your Father's Day? Did they wish you? I had told them.

A smile crept onto his lips as he recalled the day with his twins whom he put to sleep with a bedtime story just half hour ago.

*Flashback*

"Au, au, au, DADDY, auch!"

He stopped watering the plants and went inside the room to see both his 4 year olds having gripped each other's hair and wincing in pain complaining about each other.

He immediately stepped forward and made them leave their hair.

Arnav - Even a movie you both can't watch without fighting?

Arshi - She shtarted! I am innoshent.

Aarushi - No! She shtarted Daddy. She shaid Barbie izn't real. She vely bad.

Urgh, again! Aarushi is a Barbie freak and Arshi doesn't like dolls at all. Both are twins yet so different from each other. Aarushi is sweet and very sensitive like Khushi while Arshi is more rational and a bit cold like him at this age already.

Arnav - Arshi, Aarushi, I really don't care who started first. I just saw you both pulling each other's hair. You both have no respect for your lovely hair, so I'll have you both's hair cut off. Come here, let's get ready and go to hairdresser. Then you both will become bald like Megamind and your head will look huge.

They both gasp scared and run to a corner of the bedroom to hide. Arnav chuckled inside at his little nautankis. They both looked so cute but he had to keep a stern face.

Arshi - No Daddy, no. No huge head. I plomish, I won't pull her hair again.

Aarushi - Yesh Daddy, I too plomish. I love my hair, I want Barbie hair, no Megamind. Peash Daddy.

Arnav - Ok fine. I won't have your hair cut off but you both know how serious I take promises. If either of you breaks her promise, then both will become bald. I won't ask then and just cut your hair off in sleep. Ok?

They nodded pouting and he smiled as both now lovingly continued watching Smurfs after coming back to bed. Just a minute and they were back to laughing and sharing popcorn with each other. Kids!

* * *

"Arnav bhaiyya, come down fast. Arshi and Aarushi baby started fighting again."

He rushed downstairs leaving the video conference in the midway and widened his eyes at the view. The dining area was all messed up and had become a front of a food war with both throwing their Maggi noodles at each other. And in trying to stop them, poor Prakash Brothers got all covered with Sauce and Maggi masala, noodles hanging from their hair and shoulders.

Arnav - Ok, stop it you both!

Only once Arnav went there they stopped and looked at him with their usual innocent puppy faces which make him melt usually but now that strict Mummy Khushi is not here, he can't afford to play Daddy Cool for now.

Arnav - What is this? How many times your Mumma has told you not to play around with food? Come here to me!

They slowly came out of their chair fronts and walked to him all covered in sauce and Maggi like the Prakash brothers.

Arnav - Just look at what you both have done. Messed up the whole dining area.

Aarushi - Sholy Daddy, but Alshi start. She shaid Devi Maiyya and God doesh not exisht. My Mumma never lie. Tell her!

Arshi - Daddy, Aalushi alwaysh play (pray) before eating. And also tell me. I don't want. Also she shay Devi Maiyya make ush win Bashketball. Nuts!

He nodded in denial sighing and kept both on the table to wipe their faces and hands with tissues. He'll have to make them bath and change again.

Arnav - I am telling you both for the first and last time, respect each other's beliefs and don't start fighting to prove who's right. DM won't become real or unreal with a fight. Arshi, if you don't believe in God, don't mock Aarushi if she believes in her. And Aarushi, if you believe in God then don't impose your faith on Arshi. You both are Daddy's good girls or bad girls?

Arshi & Aarushi - Goodh girlsh!

Arnav - Then listen to Daddy and from now on no fights over God's existence. It is your personal choice to believe in God or not. There's no proof that God exists BUT there is no proof that God doesn't exist either. Got it?

The looked at each other smiling now and nodded. He kissed their heads and took both up to bath them and change their clothes.

* * *

"Daddy, Daddy, Daddy!"

He shut his laptop before looking up at his little ones running into the room. He smiled at both opening his arms for them as they jumped and took their seats on either of his thighs. They showed him the self made cards. Happy father's day those read in their handwritings.

Arnav - Wow, these are for me? You both know it's Father's Day today?

They both nodded grinning wide not informing him their Mumma informed them.

Aarushi - We both vely shmart.

Arshi - Yesh. We ASL (ASR) na!

Though he know Khushi must have told them,he couldn't help but just place long kisses on his super cute daughters's super cute cheeks in Awe. They just make his everyday so special and his life worth living for.

Arshi - Shee, we even got giftsh.

His elder twin showed him the coffee mug. It was just an ordinary coffee mug from their kitchen but she'd written best Daddy on it and scribbled it.

Aarushi - Mine is bettah.

He turned his look to the white shirt his Mumma's girl held. That too was from his wardrobe only but she too had written best Daddy in the world and placed colorful handprints on it.

Arnav - I don't agree, none is better. Both are best and I am in love with these cards and gifts. From now on, I'll drink my coffee in this mug only and I'll wear this shirt a lot, in fact at all of Aarushi's tea parties.

Both smiled wide and clapped in excitement. He kept the cards and gifts on the table now holding both closer.

Arnav - But I want my special gift too. Give me my special gift!

They giggled and jumped off his lap to run around in the room.

Arshi - Catch ush for that!

There's nothing he'd like to do more as he got up and purposely ran behind them slowly acting as if he can't catch them that easily. Their laughter filled the room and poolside completely as he after few minutes carried both into his arms and received his special gift in form of kisses from them. The father daughters trio spent some good time together in a tea party and went to the park enjoying the Father's Day.

*End of Flashback*

"Arnavji!? Are you listening? I asked did they wish you?"

Arnav smiled at the thoughts of his day with his daughters. His heart was filled with so much joy. He felt immensely at loss of words at thanking Khushi for giving him such cute daughters. He loved his angels more than anything in the world.

Arnav - Yes they wished me.

Khushi - Good. How was your day?

Arnav - It was lovely, just another day!

O.S. #2 - No Kissing Allowed!

"So I can't even, just, give you a small peck on cheeks?"

"No."

"What about a quick one on your forehead?"

"Nope."

"This is not fair. You know I can't let a day go by without kissing you at least once."

"Not anymoah."

"How about I am allowed to kiss your both cheeks and a small peck on lips just once a day?"

"No."

"Accha, tumhari bhi nahi, meri bhi nahi. Just one kiss on one of your cheek daily. Please!"

"No-ho!"

Khushi flared her nose as she glared that little devil in front of her. She stamped her foot on the ground and walked inside the room to start with her daily complaint session.

Khushi - Arnavji, I'm warning you. If I don't get a kiss daily, I won't leave you.

He withdrew his view from laptop and looked up at her in total confusion. What's gotten into her now?

Arnav - What the. Am I denying!? You can kiss me whenever you want!

Khushi - Shut up. Not you, your little replica, that little Laad Governor. She says she doesn't like to be kissed and nobody shall kiss her from now on. Not even me, ME! I am her mother! How can she deny ME!?

Arnav rolled his eyes sighing in disbelief. There she goes all over dramatic again.

Arnav - What's the big deal Khushi? She doesn't like to be kissed, then respect it and just don't kiss her.

Khushi - Respect??? She's just four!!! How else do I show her how much I love her? And my children are too sweet and cute. Whenever I see them, I just want to take them in my arms, kiss them, hug them tight, cuddle them. I just could eat them.

Arnav - I know! But you know Arshi is not into all this kissing and cuddling. And don't eat my babies!

Khushi - Shut up. And it is all your fault! She could've gone after me like my Aarushi, or be like her Bua or her Massi or her Chachu but no! Laad Governor's genes outweighed!

He thinned his lips in order to suppress his smile. It always irked her whenever Arshi would go on to prove she's his daughter.

Arnav - Ok relax. It's just a matter of a kiss.

Khushi - No! It is not just a matter of a kiss. You have no idea how a mother feels when her own child tells her not to express her love anymore. Today she's saying don't kiss me, tomorrow she'll say don't hug me, then she'll see don't talk to me, don't love me. She's going far from me.

Her eyes already filled up just by thinking about all that already. No. She can't stay away from her baby. She won't let Arshi distance herself from Khushi. She will have to do something!

Arnav just stood up to console his crazy wife when she marched outside in all hurry. He just looked at her bewildered. This woman is really nuts, he thought.

* * *

"My Jalebi, my Laado, my doll, you're Mumma's sweetest child. You know why? Because you let your Mumma kiss you so much.

Aarushi's face was lit up as she sat in her mother's lap with her head resting on her chest and her face being showered with kisses. If this little life would have to define heaven, this is the situation she would describe.

Khushi - You know, Mumma's kisses are magical. Mumma's one kiss means lots of love, affection and blessings.

Aarushi - How much love?

Asked little Aarushi only so she is told how much her Mumma loves her. She won't leave any opportunity to seek her mother's attention and love.

Khushi looked over to her other twin sitting there and watching her Tom & Jerry acting all indifferently. These ASR genes, Khushi humphed.

Khushi - As much as Jerry loves cheese. He would do anything for cheese. Same is my love for my children. I would do anything for you both.

Aarushi - We talk about me only!

Aarushi hugged Khushi tighter as she noticed Khushi's focus has shifted from her to Arshi. She isn't the sole center of her universe anymore which she always prefers to be but.

Khushi - Yes jaan. I am talking about you, I love you even more than Jerry loves Cheese, or Bugs Bunny loves carrots. Even more than you love your Barbies.

Aarushi - Me your Barbie doll?

Khushi - Yes. You are my little Barbie doll. You always like and want to be kissed by your Mumma. I wish my other child too would understand that Mumma's breath is stuck in her. Without kissing any of her kids at least once a day, she'll die.

Khushi pouted looking down sadly as her eyes filled up. She didn't want Aarushi to see that. She'll freak out and get upset.

"Mumma."

Khushi looked up to see Arshi standing in front of her.

Arshi - You ah dlama.

Khushi smiled a bit as Arshi chuckled and wiped her eyes. She leaned closer and kissed her mother to earn the brightest smile. Aarushi pouted in annoyance as she had to share Khushi's lap and attention with Arshi now. Khushi literally attacked both with her kisses making them give it back to her same way.

Arnav came downstairs and stopped midway as he saw his wife sitting in the lobby with their daughters in her lap and laughing all together while kissing them nonstop. He smiled feeling extremely content and clicked some pictures before joining his happy family for some fun and of course, kisses.

O.S. #3 - Their Bundles of Joy

"I hate you Arnav."

This was not what he was expecting to hear when he got a call from his lovely wife. In fact he thought it's one of his babies' missing Daddy but that clearly wasn't the case.

Arnav - So, you called to tell me that?

Khushi - Yes. Why did you have to tell twins that they would have been born earlier, if it wasn't for Aman's calls.

Arnav - Isn't it true? Don't you remember Diwali-

He could hear the gasp on the other side of the call. It was nothing for him to tease her but he just loved her same reactions at each of his teasing.

Khushi - Oh shut up Arnav. Teasing me is ok but joking around with kids, not ok. They're telling everyone at home that Aman is bad and at fault that they didn't come into the world before already.

Arnav - And everyone can understand our two years olds?

Khushi - I saw the blushes on their faces. Now I can't show my face to anyone for the rest of the day.

He smiled having her face right in front of her, how she'd be making a face at him for having her go through this.

Arnav - Did you talk to my daughters?

Khushi - First of all, they're mine too. Stop referring to them as your daughters only and excluding me. And secondly, what do you think? Of course I talked to them but that only worsened everything. Tell children not to do something, they'll do that specifically.

Arnav - Take them out for ice cream. They'll forget everything.

Of course. His answer to everything is taking them for ice cream. But why can't he understand they should be cautious about giving them too much sweet. He's a diabetic after all. But this is a fear she'd never voice out because she believes speaking it out may have it turn true. Although thinking about it is unavoidable.

Khushi - No. You always put me in trouble and embarrass me in front of the family. You and your daughters.

Arnav - There you said it, my daughters!

He smirked having gotten her there while she just nodded in denial and hung up. He chuckled. Seems he is needed at home more currently.

* * *

"No Aarushi. Stop it. Won't listen to your Mumma?"

Khushi put her twins on the bed to change their diapers and clothes but they had other plans. She struggled to catch both of them as they jumped on the bed hitting each other with their teddies. As much she felt blessed to have gotten two at once, sometimes it felt like a punishment. It takes double efforts in everything. While you catch one, the other escapes. While you stop one from breaking something, the other is already at creating more mess. And worst is making them sleep or eat. She can't handle them all alone. Thankfully Di and Jiji are there when Arnavji is out for work.

Arnav - Am back. Missed my babies so much.

Arshi, Aarushi - Dad-ddyyy

After getting off the bed with little efforts, both the twins run to their father to be carried and pampered by him.

Arnav - I missed you both so much. I hope you missed me too.

Arshi - We missh Daddy.

Aarushi - Mumma thold (scold). No eith theem (ice cream).

Khushi - Of course. Complain about your bad mother always. *look at Arnav* What is in this bag?

Arnav - Some things for my daughters.

He kept both on the recliner and gave them their new toys he purchased on the way. They both immediately gasped in excitement clapping within giggles. Khushi flared her nose keeping her hands on her hips.

Khushi - No. I had prohibited you from getting anymore toys for them. They already have more than enough. There's not even space for new toys anymore. Store room is full with them. But you never listen to me. Always keep spoiling your Raizada Princesses.

Arnav - Khushi, stop acting so strict. Keep cool for once and let my children be happy.

Khushi - What do you mean let your children be happy? You think I am their enemy and don't want them to be happy?

Arnav - No Khushi, I didn't-

Khushi - Here. Take these diapers and change them. I don't care. They are your daughters na, so take care of your daughters alone.

She pushed the two pampers into his hands and stormed out in rage. Arnav looked at the two innocent angels trying to open the toy packagings and smiled at their faces. He never minds doing anything for his princesses.

Arnav - So my sweethearts, we'll wash you both, change your diapers and then take a nap. Got it?

They look at him and each other, then jump off the recliner and run towards the side table. Taking Khushi's phone, they tap on the screen randomly.

Aarushi - Wi caa (we call) Aman thone badh (phone bad)

Arshi - Wi ully (early)

Arnav chuckled at his little ones as they run around the room repeating that. Seems like they already forgot half. Ok, then time to get to work.

* * *

Khushi opened the door to have her eyes widen. Their room looked as if a tornado just created havoc here. Chips, chocolates, clothes, toys, flowers, pillows and a lot of packagings lay there in the floor and bed. She should have known. He can't just handle them. He's too much of a sweet Daddy for them, never even denies them for anything. He's seriously spoiling them too much.

She entered the room picking up their toys to clean the room but stopped for a minute to take in the image of her twins sleeping ever so peacefully on the bed with their father sandwiched between them. Khushi couldn't help but smile at the scene. Even though the room was all messed up, these two were clean, in diapers and sleeping.

Taking a step towards the bed, she covered both with their little blankets and released his hair from Aarushi's fist.

Arnav - Don't move them. They'll wake up.

He opened his eyes and whispered to her looking at them. She smiled nodding in denial.

Khushi - They're in deep slumber now. You can get up.

She helped him get out of Arshi's hold and carefully kissed both of their heads. They just look too innocent when sleeping, not at all like Laad Governor's kids.

Arnav - I'm sorry.

She turned to look at her husband standing beside her now. Giving him a confused look, she started tidying up the room.

Arnav - For this mess. I'm clearly not that good at all this.

Khushi - That's ok. They've done worse. At least they didn't get hurt. Last week they broke vases. Thankfully Hari Prakashji saw them on time.

She opened the cupboard and kept all the clean clothes inside while he helped her folding them. He looked at his sweeties once again with a smile.

Arnav - You know what, they will have forgotten the Aman thing once they wake up.

Khushi - I hope so...but what were you thinking? Dreaming much ha?

Arnav - Dreaming? I told them only what's true. If Aman hadn't called that night on Diwali, my babies would have been born earlier.

She narrowed her eyes at him as she crossed her arms on her chest.

Khushi - Babies!? You think if Amanji wouldn't have called, you would have gotten me pregnant!?

Arnav - For certain. You have any idea how attracted I was to you?

She blushed closing the cupboard and turned to pick up their toys.

Khushi - Stop feeding anything into my babies' innocent brain. And certainly not such things.

Arnav - What things?

He smirked pulling her into his arms from behind. She gasped and struggled a bit but then let herself loose blushing.

Khushi - If only you would have left your ego aside that time.

Arnav - Had I know we'd make such cute babies, I would have taken you then and there.

Khushi - Aap bhi na! Leave me.

She pushed him lightly nodding in denial and got back to cleaning. Exchanging smiles of satisfaction, both cleaned up the room together while admiring their two sleeping bundles of joy.

O.S. #4 - Dracarys

"Daka-lish"

"Daka-lish"

"Daka-lish"

Khushi - Arnav, your coffee.

Arnav - Thanks.

Shutting his laptop down and keeping it aside, he accepted the mug she offered and took a sip as she took a seat beside him on the couch with her tea, leaving twins' sippers on the table to cool.

"Daka-lish."

Both the parents looked at their twins riding their mechanical ponies in the study while throwing toys at each other during their play.

Arnav - Khushi, what are they saying?

Khushi - You too don't know!?

Arnav - No.

She looked at her daughters now suspiciously as he answered very casually with a small frown. They had been repeating this word since hours now but she hadn't been able to figure out its meaning.

Khushi - I thought it's some English word you taught them.

Arnav - I don't think it's an English word...but you always know what they're saying. I often failed to understand what they are saying but you always knew.

Khushi - Yes but for that it's important they speak my language, or any language at all. It seems they have just made up some word.

Arnav raised his brows at that passing Khushi his signature smirk. She only frowned to that but kept her cup on the table as he pulled her closer holding her by the waist.

Arnav - Like mother like daughters.

Khushi - What do you mean? And what are you doing? Leave me.

Arnav - You also made up some words so they don't understand us.

Khushi - That's because you are shameless. And if they catch any new word, you know they keep repeating it the whole day. I don't want to be embarrassed in front of family.

He pulled her into his arms further as she hit on his chest lightly. She turned her face away so instead of kissing her cheek he ended up kissing her shoulder. She quickly pushed him away and sat away from him.

Khushi - I need to make them drink their milk, rather trick them. *call twins* Arshi, Aarushi, come to Mumma.

They both quickly ran into her open arms and tried pushing the other out in order to win the full space. And then looking at each other with pouts, they again said it.

Arshi, Aarushi - Daka-lish

Their parents laughed as they passed each other a look. Arnav pulled them into his arms and kept them both in his lap between to kiss both his cuties. They laughed holding him as he tickled them. Khushi admired her babies and their Daddy.

Arnav - Now tell your Daddy, what is this Dakalis?

Arshi - Daka-lish daegen. Fuuu.

Aarushi - Fuuu.

Both blow into the air holding their hands up and Arnav Khushi had never been this confused in their life when it came to understanding their offspring.

Arshi - Daddy, I Daka-lish.

Aarushi - Me too. We fai (fly).

Khushi - Fly? What are you both saying? Make Mumma understand.

NK - Hey guys, what's up?

NK entered the study area as usually with a packet of chips in his hands and twins immediately jumped from Arnav to their favorite Chachu on the next couch. They just literally snatch the packet from him and start eating themselves.

NK - Wooo, Arshi, Aarushi, relax. We can all share it.

Khushi - You two stop it, bad manners. What have I taught you? Give Chachu his chips back.

Aarushi - Daka-lish!

She again blows in the air making Khushi frown while Arshi pouted ready to give the chips back. Only NK chuckled and laughed at their cute act.

Arnav - And why are you laughing? You know what they're saying?

NK - Yeah yeah Nannav. We watched GOT and they have caught the word Dracarys from there. It means fire. Daenerys says that to her dragons when she-

And he couldn't even complete his sentence as NK realized to his horror that Arnav had this I'm going to murder you' look currently which was last seen before the birth of his twins. Arnav hadn't been this angry since ages.

Arnav - You watched Game of Thrones with MY three years olds?!?!?

Just as he was about to raise his voice, Khushi touched his shoulder so that he realized twins are there only and lowered it immediately.

Arnav - 3 years old! They're just. Three. And you watched a show with them which contains nudity and violence!?

NK - No no no Nannav. There were no any nude or violent scenes then. It was the scene with White walkers and the dead army. The episode was just about to end when they came into my room and watched it with me.

Arnav - I don't care NK! You watched an adult show with them! From now on, the only thing you can watch with them is Cartoon Network, nothing else!

NK just nodded fast before fleeing from the scene. It was his luck that twins were present there, else the possibility was really high that this day could have been his last in the world. Never had he been able to piss off his cousin to this extent.

Arnav - This guy is the limit.

Khushi - I would have never thought Nanheji would be this irresponsible...no, he said na, the episode was to end when they went there. So maybe that's why he let them watch the last few seconds.

Arnav - I don't care if it were few seconds only. They're just toddlers. You can't just show them anything with adult content.

Khushi picked up the sippers from table to make them drink the milk inside. Arnav took place beside her and took Arshi into his lap so Khushi can struggle with Aarushi while he tries to get the other to drink.

Arnav - Now I understand it. Their blowing in the air was actually trying to breath fire. The whole das they've been trying to breath fire and burn whatever they see.

Khushi - Arnav, you too na. Don't exaggerate. They're kids, got fascinated by something spitting fire. They'll forget it and this Dakalis too, after their nap.

Arshi - Daddy, I Daka-lish. Then fai.

Aarushi - And fuuu. Daka-lish. Sho goodh.

Khushi - No Aarushi, Jaan, there's no Dakalis. Now drink this. See, I added chocolate into it. You love chocolate milk, isn't it?

Aarushi - No no. I Daka-lish.

Being stubborn and adamant has been a genetically inherited thing which annoys Khushi often to the length. Now until they take their naps, they won't forget this Dakalis thing and want a dragon.

Khushi - Fine. You two want to be bad girls, then be. I'll just put you to sleep. No chocolate milk for you both.

Arnav - Why are you getting angry on them? It's NK's fault. If you have to, then you should be getting angry on him only.

She nodded in denial. One puppy face by them and this sweet Daddy melts like ice cream in hot weather.
Both crawl into his arms with her puppy pouts still on knowing well their father won't deny anything.

Arshi - Daddy, we Daka-lish.

Arnav - Ok baby. Daddy will get Dragons for you both. Don't be sad, smile. I can't see my cuties' sad. Smile, only then I'll get Dragons for you both.

They smile wide at sudden and hug his neck jumping in excitement. He chuckled hugging both in content. Khushi just glared him nodding in denial. She showed him their still full sippers.

Arnav - And one more thing. We'll get Dragons tomorrow already if you both finish your milk.

Khushi handed both a sipper each into their hands. They drank the milk happily laying there on the couch and fell asleep soon. The parents carried each and kept them inside on the bed covering both their sleeping beauties with their little blankets.

Khushi - From where will you get Dragons for your Laadlis?

Arnav - Don't be stupid. They'll have forgotten everything once they wake up.

Khushi - What if not? Don't forget they're also ASR's, not less than you!

Arnav - Then I'll get a puppy for them. Don't worry about it.

Khushi - Why can't you just ever deny them? Is it necessary to spoil them!? Are you scared they won't love you as much as me if you don't grant them their every wish?

Khushi crossed her arms in her chest passing him a challenging smile to which he only raised his brow with a little smirk.

Arnav - What rubbish!? You think I'm buying my daughters love? I don't need to. They love me more than they love you.

Khushi - Dream on. Aarushi panics if I'm not in her eyesight for more than 5 minutes. And Arshi may be the junior Laad Governor but she runs to me first when she gets scared of something. I'm their mother, they'll always love me more.

Arnav - They run to me when you scold them! If you continue to be the strict mother you are, I don't see any threat for myself.

He rubbed his finger pad against the tip of her nose with his signature smirk adorning his face making her fume in anger.

Khushi - Dakalis!

She blew in the air into his direction for him to chuckle and pull her closer holding her waist.

Arnav - Burn me at night...with passion.

She made a face at him and looked only to get all crimson red. But no, she pushed him away and marched out of the room.
He held his eyes on her smirking as she stooped at the door and turned to him mischievously.

Khushi - Tonight I'll ride a dragon! And burn everything that comes in way! Laad Governor kahin ke!

He chuckled as she left with a wink. He can't wait for the night to fall now.

O.S. #5 - Tea Party v/s Pool Party

"Mummaaa"

Khushi's heart pricked as she saw her crying baby coming to her with open arms. Leaving all the clothes she was folding, Khushi welcomed Aarushi into her arms and kissed her tears away.

Khushi - Hush, no beta. Don't cry, I am here. Tell me, what happened? Why is Mumma's jaan crying?

Aarushi - Alshi- *sob* no tea pathy *sob* my fiendsh' all thea. Pool.

Khushi listened to her daughter patiently and kept wiping her face between her sobs. Though Aarushi could hardly form any comprehensive words and sentence, her mother understood everything.

Khushi - My shona, don't cry. I'll see why none will come to your tea party.

She carried her three years old toddler and walked out to the backside of the house. And as expected, all kids were there in the inflatable pool. Khushi kept Aarushi on a recliner and turned the music off.

Arshi - Mumma!

Akshay - Massi! Why did you turn off the music?

Khushi - Akshay, Arshi, what is all of this? These kids came for Aarushi's tea party, not for this pool party.

Arshi - They come, pool pathy good. Tea pathy no.

Akshay - Massi, we have ice cream, chips, cold drink, music and a pool. This is all better than a boring tea party so they came here.

Khushi looked at the kids sitting in the pool and turned to look at Aarushi, sitting there with a fallen face. She felt so bad for the poor soul. She had been looking forward to her tea party since two days and even sent out invitation cards which she crafted herself.

Khushi - Fine. You all stay in this boring pool party. Me and my doll will have all the fun at her tea party.

Khushi carried Aarushi kissing her lots and took her back in. She did not like Arshi and Akshay being so careless and inconsiderate of their little sister. She wanted to teach them a lesson and she knew how!

With the help of Prakash brothers, Aarushi's Barbie themed table and chairs were kept outside in the garden under a sun shade. Chocolates, sweets and ice cream shake were kept there. Aarushi smiled and laughed in content as her mother kissed her again and again, fed her ice cream, took part into Barbie dressing up competition while the opposite party stared at them and the food in envy.

Akshay - Massi, we too want ice cream shake. HP!

Khushi - No! You won't get anything. You all have your chips, music and pool. Enjoy that.

Khushi eyed Arshi who took in her twin sitting in their mother's lap and being fed and showered with kisses ever so lovingly. Arshi's glance was penetrating and in that same jealous manner as her fathers'. She smirked as Arshi climbed out of the pool which was just as tall as her but instead of coming to them, Khushi watched her as Daddy's princess ran to him with open arms.

Arshi - Daddy!

Aarushi turned in her Mumma's lap and saw her father taking place beside them with Arshi in his arms. He leaned and kissed Aarushi with a smile.

Arnav - I hope you missed your Daddy!?

Aarushi - Daddy, my tea pathy. Let'sh pay.

Aarushi offered a cup of her exclusive Barbie tea set but frowned as her sister whispered something into his ears. Khushi already nodded in denial knowing it already.

Arnav - What the-! Khushi, why won't you give my princess ice cream in this hot weather?

Khushi - Of course, complaint against me is submitted but what about your own deed?

Arshi held Arnav gritting her teeth. Khushi flared her nose in response.

Khushi - You know, Aarushi had been organizing her tea party since days and was looking forward to it! But your Laadli spoilt it. She and Akshay were giving a pool party here shamelessly instead of joining the tea party. And the other kids also left her.

Arnav - Akshay, come here, right now!

Akshay - No, you'll scold me. I won't come.

Arnav turned to look at Akshay still sitting in the pool and acting a cool dude with sunglasses and a beach ball.

Khushi - Arnavji, you always scold Akshay, won't say anything to this Choti Laad Governor?

Aarushi - Daddy, she bad. Shold (scold) her! All.

She pouted to her - now Ex - Friends sitting in the pool alongside her cousin.

Arnav - Don't worry doll, I'll scold each and everyone. And Khushi, Arshi is three years old. I don't think she would do things to ruin her sister's party. But I know someone who's always jealous at twins getting all the attention in this house.

He eyed his nephew Akshay who's always complaining about twins being treated as princesses by all and feels none even looks at him though it's not true.

Akshay - It was Arshi's idea! I didn't do anything.

The parents looked at Arshi who shook her head sternly. They know their daughters don't lie. Khushi got up keeping Aarushi in her chair and walked over to the pool.

Khushi - Nisha, Rhea, Mannu, come out of pool. I will help you get dressed and HPji will drop you at your homes.

She wiped them all with towels and got them back into their clothes.

Khushi - Akshay, am very disappointed with you. You're their brother and elder to them, still you don't care of their happiness.

HP came and took the kids to drop them into their respective homes.

Arnav wrapped Arshi in a towel too now and sat down on a little pink chair of Aarushi. The trio watched Khushi as she wrapped Akshay in a towel and knelt in front of him.

Khushi - You know how brothers and sisters take care of each other and their happiness? Your Dad and Arnavji, you see how they take care of Anjali Bua? They do everything for her happiness. And me and your Mumma, we would anything for each other. And then there's you, getting jealous of his sister instead of being happy with them!

He looked down holding the towel as he considered her words.

Akshay - I am sorry.

Khushi - Don't ask me for sorry, it's Aarushi whose tea party you spoiled. She doesn't disturb you either when your friends come over and you all play video games.

Akshay - I know. I'll say sorry.

She nodded with a frown and followed him.

Akshay - Aarushi, I am sorry. I was a bad brother, I won't do again. We are good?

She looked at him narrowing her eyes but smiled eventually.

Aarushi - Ok. Come, we tea pathy and pay gamsh.

The five sat down on the tiny chairs with Barbie motives and drank from the empty pink cups as it is supposed to be in a tea party while talking about the newest gossip in Barbie's World. Being the good hostess she is, Aarushi thanked everyone in her Raizada-ish manners for coming and already announced her upcoming slumber party next week.

O.S. #6 - Aarushi's First Karva Chauth

"Mummaaa"

Khushi looked at her daughter with a smile as she ended Arnav's call. She walked over to her and bent to Aarushi who held a drawing in her hand.

Khushi - Yes Shona, you drew a moon!?

Aarushi - Yesh. When moon come?

Khushi - I don't know about moon but your Daddy has finally come.

She looked towards the main door through which their father just happened to walk in. Both got up from the carpet and ran towards him with open arms. Khushi got up smiling and watched Arnav take both his angels in his arms and shower them with love and kisses.

They all walked to the rest of family sitting in the hall. The house had been decorated for Karva Chauth celebration. Guests were to arrive anytime and all the members were dressed and prepared.

Arnav walked up to their room with both his angels, followed by Khushi and the once in the room he took a moment to ogle his wife clad in a red Sari gifted by him. Khushi blushed noticing his intense stare but that didn't last long as one of their twins standing on the bed pulled his nose so she gets his full attention.

Aarushi - Daddy, u know, I keep vat. When moon come, I beak fasht.

Arshi - She do all dama Daddy. Whole day.

Arnav's smile disappeared as he acknowledged Aarushi's words. He immediately turned to Khushi.

Arnav - You're letting my daughter keep fast? My three years old!? How can you be so irresponsible Khushi?

He almost shouted for her to lose her calm too. Khushi flared her nose at him as she glared him with her hands on her hips.

Khushi - You think I'll let my daughter starve!? *whisper* She thinks she is fasting! I made them eat and drink on time. I'm their mother!

She walked to the wardrobe partially in anger. Arnav felt guilty for jumping to conclusion and calling her irresponsible.

Aarushi - Daddy, shee mah mendi.

Arshi - Me too. Bhai too got. I call him too?

Arnav smiled at his twins and kissed their hands as they proudly showed him their Mehendi. He looked at Khushi through the corner of his eyes as she blabbered things for herself, unaware that he can hear it.

Khushi - Here I am, fasting for his well-being and instead of being with me, he goes to his super important meetings, then gets angry on me after coming back!

Arnav smiled a bit and looked at his daughters as they tried to open his tie and take off his coat. He helped them, in a way they stay under the impression that they only did it. They jumped down holding both the pieces of clothes and ran towards the mirror.

Arshi - I weah coat.

Aarushi - No. You tie, today I coat.

While the twins argued over who'll get to wear what today, Arnav walked to Khushi and hugged her from behind. Placing a soft kiss on her nape, he whispered into her ears.

Arnav - I'm sorry.

She twisted her mouth and continued taking out clothes from cupboard for him and twins to change in.

Arnav - You didn't eat all day, how are you feeling? I'm sorry I wasn't there with you.

Khushi - As if you care about me! You only care about your children now, your heiresses!

Arnav - That's not true. You're as important to me as my daughters and I'll love you as much as them.

She turned into his arms pushing him slightly and looked behind at twins once who were wearing their Daddy's coat and tie.

Khushi - Who do you love more? Me or them?

Arnav - What kind of a question is this? I love them as much as you. But the love I have for them is different than what I feel for you.

She straightened her narrowed eyes and smiled.

Khushi - Correct answer. Had you said you love me more, I'd have never forgiven you.

He chuckled and pulled her in a hug.

Arnav - I'm sorry I called you irresponsible. You're a wonderful and very responsible mother.

Khushi - I know. But you're a bad Daddy. You didn't even ask my baby how she is. Only me. After all she's also fasting. And she had to tolerate Arshi and Akshay teasing her.

She pouted at him eyeing their daughters.

Arnav - Why were they teasing her?

Khushi - Because she's fasting for me. I told them I am fasting so I get you in all births. Then my innocent Barbie said that she too wants to get me in all births. She wants to marry me.

Arnav chuckled and turned to them, who by now were acting to be him. Aarushi was wearing his coat and walking with raised shoulders while Arshi propered the tie around her neck with his Bluetooth into her ears.

Arnav - Everyday they do this...and yet I can't help but somehow...admire them every single time.

She hugged him from the side nodding with a huge smile on her face.

Khushi - I know. Who would have thought that Laad Governor's kids can be so cute too?

He looked her with a suspicious frown. She giggled and kissed his cheek before placing twins' clothes on the bed.

Khushi - Go and change. I'll also get these two dressed. Then hopefully the moon will come and I'll be able to break my fast.

* * *

"Who is looking better? Me, Arshi or Aarushi?"

Everyone raised her brows at Akshay's question. They looked at the three Raizada kids standing in front of them with much hope shining in their eyes. Akshay was wearing a cream coloured Sherwani while Arshi was dressed in a simple black jumpsuit and stood with her hands in pockets. Owing to their personalities, contrary to her twin, Aarushi was the one wearing the fanciest dress, a red and pink lehenga choli with a pinned dupatta and a lot of shine. A partner look with her mother had been the intention. Only exception was the Barbie doll which always stayed with her, no matter where she goes.

Anjali - This is not fair. How can we decide who's looking better when all my sweeties are looking the best?

Everyone immediately agreed to Anjali making Akshay narrow his eyes. In the meanwhile Aarushi smiled wide looking at their mother while Arshi, being the replica of her father she is straightened her dress in satisfaction.

Akshay - No no no. You're just saying this so you don't have to choose. But you have to. One of us is looking better. I know.

Payal - Akshay, beta, don't be rude. You three are looking very pretty.

While Payal and Akash tried to talk a bit sense into their son, Arshi got into her father's lap and Aarushi ran towards the floor to ceiling glass window.

Aarushi - Mummaaa. Moon.

She exclaimed happily sticking her face to the glass and grinned like mad looking up at the sky.

* * *

Arshi stood beside her father as her mother acted out the procedure of breaking her fast. After Arnav made Khushi drink water and fed her with a Jalebi, it was time for Khushi to bend and let her toddler do what she just observed. After watching the moon and her mother's face through a sieve, she was also fed water and Jalebis by Khushi followed by a shower of kisses. Arshi tried to avoid that extra love but was pulled into it nevertheless.

Aarushi - Now I get Mumma alwaysh?

Khushi - Yes jaan. I''ll be your Mumma in all births. And Arshi's too. You both are mine and Daddy's sweethearts.

Arshi - I no keep fash.

Khushi - So what? Your sister and your Mumma did. That's enough for you both to be mine in all births.

Aarushi - Mumma, now me and you maly?

Arnav admired his wife and daughters exchanging sweet nothings. Khushi kissed both and nodded to Aarushi's question of marriage. How can she deny her? But Arshi's eyes discovered something interesting.

Arshi - Bhai! Mumma, bhai, Alushi, shee.

Khushi left them to and frowned at her daughter who pointed behind to look at Akshay also breaking fast with Payal, hiding behind Akash. Twins looked at each other with wide grins and ran to him. Arnav chuckled and looked at Khushi in confusion.

Akshay - Akshay and fast?

Khushi - He's fasting so Jiji always be his mother in all births. But no need to worry, he fasted like Aarushi only. Every two hour.

Aarushi - Daddy, mah Barbie!

Arnav looked down to see her back. He passed Aarushi her Barbie he was holding and she again ran back to tease Akshay.

Akshay - Massiii, Arshi and Aarushi are annoying me.

Aarushi - No. Bhai teash me, I keep fash. He too do.

Arshi - Bhai keep fash for Machi. Bhai keep fash. Ne ne ne ne ne ne.

Akshay ran to Khushi complaining about twins teasing him with tongue. Khushi as always came out in his support and Daddy Arnav of course defended his daughters.

Laughter echoed into the Raizada House as they got into their usual banter like their kids.

O.S. #7 - Doctors at Work

"Daddy, Daddy, Daddy."

Arnav halted his conference call to look up and see his twins run inside the room with much excitement. Arshi shut his laptop down without prior warning and snatched the file out of his hands while at the same time Aarushi cut the call on his phone and pulled the Bluetooth out of his ear. Khushi just then entered the room with gasp and came forward to stop them.

Khushi - I'm sorry, I tried to keep them down but then-

Arnav - It's ok. The conference was almost done anyway.

She looked at him with a proud smile as she watched him take both their daughters into his arms. Had it been any other children, he would have exploded and shouted the shit out of them but these were his own princesses and Khushi wasn't oblivious to the love and affection he spoilt their kids with. She's never seen him scold them. Apparently that's her department.

Aarushi - Daddy, shee this. We dotor now.

They proudly showed him their brand new toy kits. Arnav had enough of an experience about being a father in the meanwhile that he knew well to act surprised and fascinated at their new gain.

Arnav - Wow. That's great. My babies will be doctors. You're making your Daddy so proud.

Khushi - Their Chachu got these for them. And they ran up fast. Couldn't wait to show you.

Khushi chuckled as they grinned back happily at him and pulled him towards the bed.

Arshi - Daddy, you pashent. On bed.

They got him to lay on the bed and covered him with the quilt before asking their Mumma to give them their smocks. Arshi's was just plain white as a doctors' while Aarushi liked to add colors into her life. And being her favorite color, she had a pink smock with Doctor Barbie' written on the back in glitter. These smocks basically summed up their likings and personalities. And the final touch was made with a stethoscope hanging around their shoulders.

Arshi - Hello Mishter Laizada, I'm ur dotor. This iz nush. (Nurse)

Aarushi - No. I dotor. You nush.

Arshi - No. I dotor!

Aarushi - No! You nush! Mumma, shee Aashi.

Khushi interfered into the little fight of these two angry mini ASRs before it escalated.

Khushi - You both are doctors. And if you keep on fighting, who will treat Daddy? He'll become more sick.

They looked at Khushi with an innocently guilty expression and nodded. Turning to him again, Aarushi prepared the station with equipment while Arshi took notes on a small toy notebook.

Arshi - So Mishter Laizada, how we help you? Any pain?

Arnav - Here on my face. Nose, cheeks forehead, lips. Everything is aching doctor.

Arshi - I shee. Do aaah.

Khushi giggled covering her mouth with her palm as Arshi stuffed a toy thermometer into her father's mouth. Aarushi went on to straightaway put him on a glucose bottle, keeping the cord under his sleeve.

Arnav - Please doctors, get me well fast. My two princesses are waiting home for me. They're very cute.

Aarushi - Sssh. Pashent no talk. We do wok.

Khushi raised her brows at him in amusement as he just nodded thinning his lips. You better not mess up with two doctors, especially when both are doctor ASR!

Arshi - Mishter Laizada, we give injeshion. Then you good again.

Aarushi - No woy (worry), it no pain.

Arnav - Are you sure it won't pain? I don't like injections, doctor.

Aarushi - Oh Mishter Laizada, you big boy. Be bave (brave).

She caressed his hair passing him her cutest smile, which could melt anyone. He was just acting.

Arnav - Ok doctor. If you say so. I trust you.

Aarushi - Look away.

Both took an injection each from the kit and looked at each other gritting their teeth.

Arshi - I do injeshion!

Aarushi - No. No. No. I do!

And just as both were to snatch each other's syringes, Khushi had to intervene once again.

Khushi - Arshi, Aarushi, why don't you both just do it? One on each arm. Ok?

They looked at each other with a blink and then nodded. Aarushi climbed on the bed and above his chest to get to the other side.

Aarushi - Mishter Laizada, cose (close) your eyez. It no hut.

Arnav - I trust you doctors.

They smiled as he closed his eyes and did what a doctor has to. It was for his own good only.

Arshi - Now done.

Arnav - Wow, that was fast. And it didn't pain. You both are just fantastic doctors.

Before even their proud smirks could fade, he sat up on the bed now, ready to pull both his dolls into his embrace.

Arshi - And now your medishin.

Arnav - I'm getting a prescription?

Aarushi - Yesh. One tabet (tablet) in the moning, two after lunch and two in the evening.

Arnav - But I hate tablets. I know a medicine which is far better and very effective.

Both the twins stared at him innocently as they waited for him to speak further.

Arnav - Kiss my face and all the pain will be gone miraculously.

He pulled both into his lap as they now giggled and hugged their Daddy. He kissed and tickled both making them break in laughter and struggle into his hold. Just as he let them free, both pushed him to lay onto the bed. Arshi tickled his tummy while Aarushi showered a lot of kisses on his face. Khushi nodded in denial admiring her husband and their kids. She loved her Arnavji a lot, but she loved their Daddy more. He was more carefree, adorable and normal. No business stress, no temper, no nothing. Just like an Anti-ASR. Not even a slightest bit of attitude or ego when he's just spending some quality playtime with his daughters.

Akshay - What's going on here? Having fun without me?

The trio stopped laughing and looked at Akshay entering inside the room, clearly not looking the happiest.

Arshi - Bhai, we pay dotors.

Aarushi - Come, you too pay.

Akshay - Oh yes. Come, let's play with Dadi. She'll be patient and we'll do her operation.

They smiled wide at his idea and immediately jumped off the bed to run to their cousin.

Aarushi - I dotor.

Arshi - Me too dotor. Bhai nush.

Akshay - No. I'm not nurse. I'll be the doctor. You both are my nurses.

Arshi, Aarushi - No no no. We dotor. You nush.

Akshay - Massiii

Khushi - All of you three of doctors. Please be my good babies and don't fight.

Arshi, Aarushi - Bhai nush!!!

They show him their tongues and run out fast laughing, having an annoyed Akshay run behind them while complaining about his little sisters.

Khushi moved to the bed to pick up the scattered equipment when she was suddenly pulled by her shameless of a husband on top of him.

Arnav - So, our little doctors will be busy with Mami's operation for a while. How about we use the opportunity to spend some quality time together?

Khushi - Shameless Mishter Laizada, leave me. Now! I got work.

She pouted imitating their offsprings, making him chuckle at her childish expression.

Arnav - They got their cuteness all from you.

Khushi - I know. They're my daughters after all, mine more.

Arnav - Excuse me!? They're mine more! Saw their anger!? All mine!

Khushi - They were in my womb for nine months!

Arnav - Still mine more.

Khushi - No! Bad Laizada.

And Tom & Jerry's endless argument went on and on...

O.S. #8 Wat Da Fuck

"Wat da f**k.

Everyone's eyes were drawn towards the toddlers sitting and playing with their toys as suddenly something that looked like a fight erupted between them. One pushed the other only to be pushed back. Each others' toys and bears were kicked away.

"Stop it you both!

Though most of the family members were present in the hall, their mother was the first to intervene leaving her work of cutting veggies in the middle. She walked to both of them avoiding stepping onto one of their toys. Khushi flared her nose at them as she stood in front of them with her hands resting on her hips.

Aarushi - Wat da-

Arshi - ..f**k!

Khushi - You both! You are becoming naughtier day by day and this- this word, didn't I prohibit you from saying this bad word?

Nani - Khushi bitiya, from where do they learn such things? Nobody at home talks this way!

Khushi gulped feeling extremely embarrassed. She turned to Nani slightly.

Khushi - There is somebody actually! Their father. These two learn everything from him only including this.

Nani - Let him come down today, I'll scold him for his carelessness in front of children!

You'll scold him later Naniji but I'll see that Laad Governor now already!

Khushi - You two, come with me. If you don't listen to me, you'll be punished.

* * *

Khushi - I am done with you and your kids!

He looked up from the file in his hand to see his wife fuming and dragging their daughters inside the room.

Arnav - Aman, I'll call you later.

The first he did was cut the call and kneel to his daughters as they ran to him as soon their mother released their arms. He rubbed their back and eyed Khushi in query.

Arshi, Aarushi - Daddy

Arnav - What are you doing? Is this the way to behave with kids? You can't drag them like this!

Khushi - Arnav, you don't say anything. Because of you only they are becoming undisciplined, naughtier and spoilt. And from you only, they learn things and blurt them in front of everybody.

Arnav - They are so small. Whatever they say or do, I have told you many times not to let your anger out on them!

He stood up keeping both on the bed and kissed their cheeks. The hugged him pouting. She gritted her teeth at that. As always he'll just spoil them and not care to listen to her.

Khushi - You are right. I should not scold them. After all it's all your fault. They learn everything from you only. That day you said that phrase in front of them!

Arnav - Which phrase?

He raised his brows turning to her as she flared her nose at him.

Khushi - Don't be so innocent. You said what the and that f word. Everyone questions me from where they learnt it.

He looked at them as they giggle and he chuckled nodding in denial at his cute daughters. No matter what they do, they're his little innocent babies.

Khushi - Don't you smile at them. Scold them! Tell them not to say it ever again.

Arnav - Are you mad? You want to tell three years olds not to do something? It'd be like inviting them to do that!

Khushi - Then do whatever you want, explain it to them but make them stop.

Arnav - I can't reason with toddlers!

That's it. It irked her so much that it was always her who has to face embarrassment in front of family while Laad Governor refuses to be strict with them. She has to bear the consequences of his spoiling acts.

Khushi - Fine. Then do whatever you want. I'll go to Laxmi Nagar, let me know when your princesses learn to behave.

Arnav - You can't leave them alone. You know they can't stay without you.

Khushi - I know. But you won't stop spoiling them either, nor you let me be strict. So I'm not really left with an option.

He narrowed his eyes at her to which she grimaced and walked over to the cupboard for packing while their twins stared both pouting ever so cutely. Arnav went towards her and held her hand in order to stop her from packing.

Arnav - Khushi stop it. You aren't going anywhere.

Khushi - Leave my hand. I will go and you can't stop me.

She struggled to have her hand released from his grip but Arnav wrapped her into his arms instead. And seeing their parents play, twins laughed and clapped jumping around them. Arnav chuckled at his daughters.

Arnav - Ok fine. I'll try to make them understand.

She looked at him raising her brows in doubt. He left her and lifted twins onto the bed. They cupped his face

Arnav - Now listen carefully you both. I will be very angry if you even once more say what the f**k. Got it?

Arshi, Aarushi - Wat da f**k!

Even though he showed his big ASR eyes, his daughters were everything else than scared from him. Instead they started repeating it enthusiastically and hung to him wrapping their arms around his neck.

He smiled nodding in denial and looked at Khushi who crossed her arms below her bosoms in a challenging manner. He sighed and kept both onto the bed again.

Arnav - Arshi, Aarushi, it's bad. It's not good to say what the f**k baby. You-

Arshi, Aarushi - nawt gudh wat da f**k

He was already getting frustrated seeing Khushi's face when suddenly an idea popped his mind. He glared them with fake anger.

Arnav - I will scold you both badly if I ever hear you say What the fish again! What. The. Fish.

Arshi, Aarushi - Wat da...fish!?

Arnav - Fish.

They blinked at him repeatedly. He smiled now having confused them successfully.

Arnav - Yes sweetheart. I'll get fish for you both. A Goldfish. You want?

They gasped in excitement and immediately nodded pulling him onto the bed. Khushi gritted her teeth. Now he'll get a Goldfish for them? This Laad Governor will never improve.

Arshi, Aarushi - Wat da fish. Wat da fish.

Khushi sighed in relief finally as he pleaded her through his eyes to accept this for now. At least they aren't saying f**k anymore. But she'll see him later for his Goldfish promise.

Arnav - Mumma, help me na.

She looked at him as the trio was in the middle of a pillow fight. She hit her head. Not even once he can be the serious and responsible father she expects him to be. He'll always stay their sweet spoiling Daddy.

Aarushi - Mumma, cum. Piow faihth. (Pillow fight)

Seeing their cute innocent faces, she finally smiled forgetting their Daddy's flaws for now. Her babies were happy and wanted her to join the harmless pillow fight with their father. She wanted to enjoy this moment. So teaming up with the twins, the mother and her daughters beat up the father mercilessly creating echos of laughter and feathery mess in the room.

O.S. #9 - Reasons Why They Cry

Arnav was not even in his room when he heard the loud cries of two familiar voices. He pushed the door open and saw Khushi sitting on the edge of the bed holding her lowered head into her palms.

Their weeping two years olds lay down on the carpet surrounded by their toys.

Arnav - Khushi, why are they crying?

He kept his coat and laptop on the recliner before kneeling down to get his girls up.

Khushi - Aarushi's doll dropped off her hands, so she started crying. And Arshi is crying just because Aarushi is crying!

He raised his brows looking in confusion at her. He moved his gaze to the doll into her lap.

Arnav - Why didn't you just give it back to her?

Khushi - Because I love to seem them crying!

He registered the sarcastic reply as she got up and flared her nose keeping her hands on her hips.

Khushi - She isn't taking it. She's just stuck on the fact that it fell! That's it!

He chuckled nodding in denial.

* * *

Arnav looked down as suddenly a baby scream hit his ears. He got up from the sofa and caught a glimpse of his crying Aarushi.

Stepping out of the study, he went downstairs to look into the matter.

Arnav - Khushi, what happened to her?

Khushi - She's crying because she ate up all her chocolate.

She answered after carrying Aarushi and patting her back. He noticed the empty wrapper in Aarushis hand.

It needed him a bit of effort to not start laughing at her antics. Aarushi could cry literally for the funniest reasons!

Arnav - Just give her another chocolate and she'll stop crying.

Khushi - There's no more chocolate at home. She ate up all!

He took a step ahead to console his angel when they heard another cry echo in the hall. They turned to Arshi. Of course! How can she be left behind?

* * *

Khushi, I called you twice before. Why didn't you pick up?"

Khushi attended her husbands call only to be yelled on by him.

Khushi - How could I? Your princesses are just getting on my nerves.

Arnav - What happened now?

He asked concerned about both his wife and the twins.

Khushi - What else? Their same old habit. They've been crying since so long. I don't know what do I do!?

Arnav - And why are they crying? You must have scolded them.

Khushi - Of course. I'm the one to be blamed. Always!

She fumed to which he rolled his eyes unknown to her.

Arnav - Fine. Tell me why are my angels crying?

Khushi - Because Arshi doesn't want to go anywhere. And Aarushi just started crying because you know, whenever either of them cries, the other too starts.

Arnav - But where doesn't she want to go?

Khushi - I. Don't. Know. I really don't know. I told her we won't go anywhere. She's still crying.

A low chuckle escaped his mouth getting her temper up.

Khushi - You think it's funny!? Only I know how I'm able to talk to you after closing the poolside door! But why would be care!?

She ended the call and took a deep breathe before opening the door to go inside to her crying toddlers again.

Arnav - No Aman. Just do as said. I'll be there in a while. I'm just-

He couldn't even complete his sentence as his baby twins ran in crying. He cut the call immediately to attend them.

Arnav - Arshi, Aarushi? Why are my babies crying?

He knelt down to hold them as they threw their arms around him, wetting his shirt both with their tears and saliva. But he least minded it.

Arnav - Sweetheart, don't cry. You know Daddy hates your tears. They hurt me.

He kissed their heads caressing their backs. Getting up, he kept both on the bed and looked over his shoulder to see Khushi rushing in with a plate in her hands.

Khushi - Now stop crying. Food is ready.

Arnav - So they're crying because they are hungry?

She kept the plate on the table and pointed at it eyeing them.

Khushi - I wish! I fed them just an hour ago. They are crying because food wasn't ready! Just. That's the exact reason. There's nothing more to that.

Arnav - Maybe they are hungry again. Give it to me. I'll feed them.

She handed him the plate with a sarcastic wide grin and next saw the frowning look on her face.

Arnav - This is lauki and Karelas. They strictly dislike it.

Khushi - I know that. And I showed them that I'm cooking lauki and karela. But no, food is not ready so let us start crying!

He turned to them hiding his smile and just nodded in denial. Drama!

She sat down on the sofa with a plate of Jalebis in her hands and switched the TV to watch her favorite show.

Khushi - After a lot of days I can enjoy my favorite Jalebis and watch Khabriji.

She had not even taken a bite of the Jalebis she made herself when her ringing phone disturbed her. She kept the Jalebi down and attended the call. She didn't need to check the caller ID. She knew who it was.

Khushi - Why did you call me? It's my day off! Did you forget?

Arnav - Khushi, please come back. It's so difficult to handle them. I'm so sorry.

Khushi - Oho Mr. Raizada. Just few hours without me and you already think it's difficult to handle them?

She couldn't leave the opportunity to mock him, just as she didn't let go of the chance of teaching him a lesson.

Khushi - What had you said? You're just exaggerating Khushi. They have been crying often doesn't mean someone cast an evil eye on them. There's nothing like that. You just have to handle them with love.'

Arnav - I still don't believe in that evil eye bullshit Khushi. But I believe you are one strong woman. You have so much of stamina. Just one day and suddenly the whole workload of AR seems so easy in front of this. The employees at my office at least don't start crying without any reason, anytime.

She smirked as he finally understood how tiring the work of a mother is. One can always tame employees, but try taming two year olds.

Khushi - Accha theek hai. Come here and pick me up.

Arnav - I'm sorry. Ever since twins are born, this is the only day you asked for a day off.

She sighed and finally smiled thinking about her daughters.

Khushi - I'm a mother Arnavji. I can't just take a day off. I just wanted to teach a lesson. I missed my devilish little Laad Governors. They may be very annoying with their reason-less cries but they are still my life. And I can't be without them.

Arnav - You know you're the best mother in the world!?

She rolled her eyes in response yet smiled.

Khushi - Then let this best mother in the world do her work. Me and Nani think someone has cast an evil eye on them. They're being cranky and crying without any reason all the time.

Arnav - Fine. Just do whatever you want as long they are safe.

She got up happily to change when Aarushi's yells came out of her phone. There she goes again, she thought. She couldn't wait to be home and oust the evil eye. Whereas Arnav on the other side closed his eyes preparing himself mentally for enduring the upcoming session of their endless cries.
