Hmmm... not sure what to say about their current dynamics.
While Arnav has chosen to give up everything and stay by her side, it is not a state of affairs that is sustainable long term. Arnav may have given up everything in his guilt and quest for her, but once the acceptance settles in, he will crave his life. Or his engagement with his world.
When two people get married, their world collide and to make the marriage work, you need to find a common ground for the two worlds while maintaining your individuality. And somehow, with all the desire to see them together i don't see Shimla as a point where their world can intersect.
Lovely update
I am so glad that you shared your thoughts with me, on the thread. And I must let you know, without giving away much of the plot that I have had in mind what you have pointed out. While this was originally supposed to be a three-part story, I realised that it would be wasting the potential of the characters, especially when human emotions in the real world do not function that way.
My intention is to first let them build a strong foundation for their relationship, which is based on mutual respect for each other and the willingness to compromise before they enter the institution of marriage. In the show, I felt that there was a lack of that understanding and respect, and they were both swept away by their passionate relationship. And I wanted to induce a stronger sense to it, through this story.
Shimla, is where they learn the intricacies of maintaining a relationship. The rest, you will know as the story unfolds.
Thank you so, so much for taking out the time to read and share your thoughts!😊
