After seeing Khushi in the arms of Kunal and he confessing his feelings for her, Arnav might have felt bad and hurt. Not wanting to face Khushi in such situation he must have left without meeting her and have some time alone to think, then must have that monologue. Hope I am correct this time. Most of the time my guesses goes wrong. Will wait for the update.
