I know I am too late in this. In fact I just realized that I hadn't given a Written Update in Ep-08 of IPKKND -EK JASHN. So I thought to finally pen it down. My next upcoming work is based on Ep-08 and hence I needed this for all those who had missed Ep-08 or wanted it's overview. Thank you!
The episode begins with Khushi sitting in front of her Devi Maiyaa's idol pouting and apologizing to her for being rude to Arnav. She justifies herself saying it's three years to their marriage and each and every year he forgets their Anniversary. This year she isn't ready to listen to him. She stubbornly says that she will go to Lucknow come what may.
Khushi's Samsung mobile beeps with notification and Khushi checks it out just to turn happy seeing her Payal Jiji like her photo on Facebook.
She checks more and finds that her Arnav-ji has updated something on her FB wall.
"I shouldn't have forgotten our anniversary. I'll remember it next year" Khushi reads his msg and makes a face.
Once again she starts complaining about Arnav-ji to Devi Maiyaa saying that he can say each and everything but he just won't say sorry. As if by saying sorry his Macho [pronounced by her as Ma-a-cho] will he hurt.
Khushi pouts and picks up a yellow sizzling Jalebi from the plat beside her and eats. Even while eating she just can't hold herself back and starts her self-talk or to say her talk with Devi Maiyaa.
"It's so easy to say sorry. It's such an easy word. Sorry I broke ur window. Sorry I forgot your birthday. It's so simple and even simpler in English. This Laa..." Suddenly she stops chewing and excitedly reminds Devi Maiyaa of the first time Arnav had said sorry to Khushi at night after making her wait for the whole morning and evening.
There we get a flashback of the time where Arnav had said sorry to Khushi on the terrace on the day of Arnav's parents' Barsi. Khushi recalls of how hard it was for Arnav to say sorry yet he had managed to apologize to her and that apology was true and she knew that. She recalls how she had chided him commenting that he won't be able to say sorry as she wasn't of his class and status.
Khushi confesses sating that was a very special moment for her. Her Arnav-ji had said sorry from heart.
Once again back to the complaining mode she says that Arnav needs to be pressurized for everything. But she even says that now Arnav has been a bit calmer. His usual anger isn't always on his nose.
She reminds us of how he used to be earlier... The one who used to show his concern in a moment and the very next moment he'll turn into a beast. With this we get reminded of the day of Teej. The time when Khushi had fainted and was about to fall. But her Arnav-ji had saved her and made her drink water. Arnav was angry as well as concerned while Khushi was into her crazy angry mode at Arnav for breaking her fast before the auspicious time.
Khushi's mobile rings and she sees it to be from Arnav. Giving a second thought, she picks up the call only to hear Arnav's slightly angry voice.
Arnav scolds Khushi saying how many times he had said her not to leave the talk in between.
Khushi retorts back saying, "I am angry and you should apologize. I am angry at you Dammit!"
Arnav calms himself and pleads Khushi saying, "Khushi I'll do whatever you tell me to do. Please don't be angry. I am sorry. Open the door please"
And Tadda!!!!! Khushi turns happy and with a smile she says to her Devi Maiyaa that arnav apologized
She is happy that he apologized but she thinks to play along for sometime.
She keeps forth a bet that she will open the door only if he answered two of her questions correctly. Arnav agrees to it and Khushi says these are the two things that she can never forget. Two such things which he did only for her.
"First question. It was a dark night. We were near yet too far. And you brought something for me with which my eyes sparkled and My heart melted."
Arnav and Khushi remember the Hut Scene during Arnav's kidnapping. The time when Arnav had brought Jugnu-s (glow worms) for Khushi as she was scared of the dark.
Arnav has a small smile on his face as he says, "Jugnu"
"Second Question... It was that one evening when you told me something in ur anger and I din feel hurt even an ounce. That I had been very happy. What was that?"
Khushi recalls along with Arnav, "That I Love You Dammit!" he had said Khushi on their Suhagraat planned by Arnav on the day of Janmashthmi.
Arnav blushes profusely at the thought of saying it aloud. He whispers, "I Love You Dammit!"
Khushi blushes and gets happy as a romantic Rabba Ve plays in the background. Khushi cuts the call and smiles to her heart. She still makes up a straight face and opens the door. Arnav rushes to her and hugs her tightly which Khushi reciprocates with smile.
Arnav breaks the hug while Khushi composes her straight face back. Arnav apologizes once again and confesses that though he forgets their anniversary every year but this time he really wants to make it up to her. He requests Khushi to wear the gift he hands over to her sent by Anjali.
Khushi closed the door and scene changes to Arnav in his white shirt, maroon tie and a slight bright blue colored coat.
He impatiently calls out for Khushi but gets cut off mesmerized by the beauty of his Khushi who walks out in front of him in a bright red Saree with golden broad borders and a matching red blouse with the same golden designs imprinted in it.
Arnav walks to her with a smile on hai face and asks Khushi to close her eyes nd not open them till he says to. Khushi questions him of how will she walk with closed eyes but Arnav asks her to trust him and then he leads her to the living area.
Asking her to open her eyes, he makes her turn to have a look at the decorations he had done. Khushi stands there aww-d by the beautiful decorations he had done. On asking her of whether she liked, Khushi rather than relying him verbally kisses his left cheek making him smile wider if possible.
Khushi plays with Arnav's tie and says, "Arnav-ji aaj aap bade woh lag rahe hai!" {Sorry am not converting it into English as it won't have the same effect as in Hindi.}
"Woh kya?"
"Woh matlab woh"
"Woh matlab kya?" Arnav asks Khushi as he takes a step forward while Khushi steps behind as usual. Khushi blushes and tries turning and going away while Arnav holds her hand and pulls her back making her crash on to him.
He once again asks her,"Woh matlab kya?"
Khushi blushes and says, "Woh matlab cute"
{okay how many of you at the time of watching this thought it to be, "Woh matlab hot/sexy or something like that?" Don't hesitate. I was one among those}
Arnav gives her a rose as he says, "You too"
Khushi smiles seeing it and reminds Arnav of hr birthday when he had wished her happy birthday and had placed the red rose on her pillow.
Arnav is surprised that she knows that while Khushi chides him saying that she knows most of things unlike him. She tells him that he is unaware of the fact that she had sold her bangles and had placed many plants in his room under the name of Lavanya. She tries reminding of something else but he shuts her up placing a finger on her lips.
He gestures her to listen and once again a romantic Rabba Ve plays. Arnav guides Khushi's hand to his shoulder and they start a slow dance as he swirls her around making Khushi happy. She, being as clumsy as ever, trips and was about to fall bit can she when her Arnav-ji is there to hold her forever? He catches her and they get lost in each other.
Later Arnav guides Khushi to sit on the sofa and moves away gesturing her to be back in a minute.
Arnav comes back from behind and makes Khushi wear a pearl necklace which completely suits Khushi and her outfit. He then takes Khushi to the decorated table where the cake was placed.
Arnav wishes her, "Happy Anniversary Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada."
Khushi takes hold of the knife and Arnav's hand and cuts the cake along with him as they make each other eat it.
Khushi then hugs Arnav who responds to her with the equal passionate and love.
Khushi thanks Arnav and breaks the hug when Arnav says, "Ek baat kahu Khushi? I Love You Dammit!"
Khushi overwhelmed hugs him and finally wishes him, "Happy Anniversary Dammit!"
The episode ends with different photos from the most memorable moments of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? with obviously the most romantic Rabba Ve in the background.
