*Well, today I was reading some previous chapters, like the beginning chapters of this story, and I felt like seriously!!! I wrote this. I literally cringed while reading them and I am so so sorry for making you read that. If anyone from my academy will read them then I'll be defiantly kicked out but well as a writer you grow everyday so it's my pinky promise that I won't let anyone of you read such crappy chapters in future*

Chapter 38

Arnav- "we need to discuss this."

Lavanya-" but I don't think there is anything to discuss."

Arnav's jaw clenched at her statement. From past few hours he had been trying to make her understand certain things about their relationship but this lady was so thick headed that she was giving hard time to him.

Arnav- "Whether willing or unwillingly. I am married to her and as long as she is living with me...I can't...I don't want to continue this relationship."

Lavanya- (folding her arms over her chest)- "That means we are breaking up."

"Arnav- "stop putting words in my mouth." He snapped.

"But what are you trying to insinuate here?"

"I am just saying that can we put this to a side for a while. I am not saying to break up. it's just we won't be having any physical relationship as long as i am with her." he tried to explain.

"You like that low grade, illiterate girl over me?" she questioned.

"Shut up Lavanya!!! It's not about liking...it's about ...it's...its...well leave it you won't understand because you can never think beyond yourself." He seethed.

"I thought you like me...but no...as soon as you saw another woman you just..."

"Just don't complete whatever you are saying...okay?" he growled. "You don't have any right to talk about her like that...you don't even know a thing and it will be better you stay away from it."

"Fine...like always do whatever you want." She said and with a loud huff, she left his cabin leaving him to sigh.

It was a very simple thing he wanted to explain to her. no physical relationship until this fake marriage was over. Little-little things have made him realize how fragile Khuhsi was and after all that had happened, hurting her was the least he wanted to do but the situations he had created for himself are making everything so difficult. A ring on his phone interrupted him and he received the call.

"Sir you have a meeting starting in 20 minutes in the conference room." his receptionist reminded him of the meeting.

"I'll be there." He said and disconnected the call.

Aditi- "You are married and you didn't tell us?" she asked Khuhsi.

"Priya- "Maybe she doesn't want the world to know how handsome her husband is?" she commented.

Khushi-"please there is nothing like that." Khuhis said in a pleading tone.

Aditi-"but how can you do this to us?"

Khuhsi- "I have a reason...please...try and understand..." she pleaded.

Priya-"What is it? tell us...you can trust us."

Khuhsi thought for a while but decided that she will keep her mouth shut. She cant tell anyone hat its just a contract marriage.

Khuhsi-"I'll tell when the time will be right."

The bell rang and the crowd of students disappeared in the classes. Finally now she hs the time to think about herself. After a long lecture she she checked the wrist watch and fished her phone out from her bag. She opened the messenger to type the new message.

"Busy?" she typed and hit the sent button.

In the middle of the meeting Arnav's phone buzzed. His initial though was to ignore it but something in his mind didn't let him. the notification was for new message from Khushi and he opened it almost immediately.

Busy?'

The message read and instantly hit the reply button.

Not exactly' he typed although he eas stilling in a conference room with an important presentation running on the prompter.

Lunch?' almost immediately a new message popped up.

Will do as soon as I'll get some time.' He typed.

As soon as Khuhsi read his message she frowned.

Okay.' She typed and send him but Arnav didn't liked her one word meaages. To keep the conversation alive he write a text.

What's with the one word messages?'

In class' he4r comes the two word reply and a smile cracked on his lips. So she was texting from the middle of the class.

So the good girl is using phone in the class. This explains why you are unable to do your worksheets." He fake scolded her.

I know you are there to teach me so why should I bother myself *winks*.' I texted him and his smile widened.

"Sir?" someone called him out and he snapped out of his world.

U-Umm what?" he asked.

"Sir what are your view on it?"

Arnav-"Akash what's your say?" and for a moment Akash looked startled.

Akash-"I already told them, slight modifications will be better. It's a huge event and it is really important for our company...so y es...we need some revisions."

Arnav for a moment was caught off guard. Did he really spaced out from his company's meeting and was so engrossed in texting Khuhis that he just not only missed the presentation but the opinions as well.

"Arnav-"Well, whatever he is saying, I agree with it." he said the safest reply and the meeting finally came to end.

Akash-"Why were you smiling in the middle of the meeting? Everyone was starting at you."

Well now this is awkward for him. he is knon for his strict and no-nonsense type' image in this office and this Khuhsi is really very harmful for his image.

Arnav-"Nothing..." he replied shortly and left for his cabin.

The sun had already set down ending the day and the night to begin. Khuhsi was walkiong back to her home when a car just stopped next to her and she almost flinched backwards.

"HI Khuhis, want a lift?" ahil asked rolling down the windows and Khuhsi take a sigh of relief.

"No thanks...I am okay." She said and continued to walk.

"Hey..stop...it won't look nice that my friend's wife is walking back to her home when I am having the whole car for her." he said with a mischievous grin.

"Seriously I am fine. It's my habit to walk." She said.

"Well, but I am not fine with it...please." He said with innocent eyes and she gave in. she didn't wanted to go with him as she knows that ARnav would be definitely pissed knowing he dropped her home. But Sahil was being adamant and she couldn't deny him, but yet this explanation wouldn't be enough for Arnav.

"Did Arnav said something to you?" he asked and Khuhis recalled ARnav's statement to stay away from hiom but she couldn't voice that out.

"N-Nothing why would he." She said with a nervous smile.

"Well, I know him from long and I know he doesn't like sharing his things much." He said and Khuhsi frowned in confusion.

"What?" she asked politely.

"Nothing." He brushed her question off.

Khuhsi made him drop few blocks away and checked the clock. It was 7.45 already. She quickened her pace to reach home before him. The excuse of extra classes won't work everytime.

"Khushiji...hurry up. he'll be home anytime." Anjali told her as Khuhsi entered the main door and she ran towards her room where she was welcomed by soft barks. She quickly changed her clothes but her breathing got a bit erratic. She sat on the edge of the bed and searched for er inhaled in he bag but when she couldn't find it she just dropped the contents down and as she found the her inhaler she took few puffs but she started coughing. It took a while for her to get herself back to normal.

Exhausted with everything she just laid back on her back determined that she won't fall asleep but as soon as her back hit the bed and her eyelids closed she drifted to sleep.
