I am a masochist or suicidal at the least, otherwise I would not have set out to knowingly invite the wrath of millions of fans :-)

Just watched the episodes of the Jashan on Hotstar and I wish I had not wasted time!!

In every episode there is barely 2-3 minutes of new content, everything else is flashbacks and old footage. Someone needed to tell Hotstar that the IPKKND fans don't need to be reminded of old episodes. The level of activity on the IPKKND forum should tell them how their fans remember their scenes and old episodes.

If re-watching old footage in the name of new episodes was not bad enough, Arnav is not recognizable. He is busy colouring and decorating hearts and butterflies on a birthday card and writing sappy messages! I get that love has mellowed ASR and he is willing to do things to keep his wife happy but this one takes my breath away with his antics 🤢

Not to mention that there is no Khushi. You don't really get to see how it is between them. Forget that, there is no storyline 😲

The only good that has come out of this is that it has inspired many FF writers, who had gone away, to come back and pen some wonderful one shots. For that, and only that, thank you Hotstar!

Hate to say it, but I totally agree with you! Thank god its only a few episodes. Not having Khushi for 6 whole episodes and narrating a story which we already know is a complete waste of time. Barun's voice is so passive that I feel like it doesn't belong to Arnav/ASR. Everyone else is pretty much the same in terms of acting and speaking which I am happy about. Mami's entrance in the past episode was like a breath of fresh air. Have to give it up to Utkarsha ji for acting/speaking like Mami the same way even after three years. Hopefully, we will see Khushi/Sanaya in the last two episodes at least.

Can't say I disagree.. The episodes with Akash and Mami were good, but the rest has been a series of flashbacks, which is annoying considering we all probably know the series back to front. I'm sort of ok with ultra-mellow Arnav, I mean we were almost at this point when the show ended. But he was a bit cheekier back then, which I miss. I would've been grateful for some more new content, though, for gods sake.. You're right about the FF writers, though. I'm glad they're back writing fantastic stories.. :)

Agree..I guess, most of us were looking forward to the 'leap' quotient of 3 years. But we have been left wanting for so much more. And on top of that, like you mentioned, Arnav/ASR is totally unrecognizable.

Come to think of it, my hubby of so many years also has not changed so much 😆...and here, we are talking of Laad Governor,Mr.Arnav Singh Raizada!! Mellow down with years and experiences is understandable, but this is, in ASR's words, Unbelievable!

Except for Utkarshaji, so far, others seem to be quite complacent. ' Mami' actually managed to hold my attention in her episode. Very much in the character.

'Khushi' is yet to make her entry. Going by the videos, she seems to have come a long way from her 'haylow' to a simple yet classy 'hi'.

On a different note, I feel, the production house people should actually go through the stories, here, on the IPKKND forum, based on the characters of Arnav and Khushi, they have created, and create ArShi short stories of limited episodes for hotstar itself. We do have some awesome fictions here.

Am still hoping to see something rewarding for ardent fans in the upcoming episodes of Jashn.

I must also agree with you, seeing a lot of barun in arnavs character plus lots of loopholes in the episodes

But what i like about it is that we get to see arnav's pov of all the past events...back in the day only khushi's feelings were explicitly expressed...

I understand your frustration, dear. I assumed that Ek Jashn was going to consist of completely new content and basically be an actual show in the same format as IPKKND was. I didn't expect it to be full of storytelling and flashbacks. But seeing Barun back on screen after a few years was a treat to see.

All I want to say is I miss ASR/Arnav, I see more of Barun in these webisodes. I might as well get used with watching old IPK episodes on my laptop.

A major let down by Star Plus and hotstar. Well played with our emotions.

Hey you!

Shoddy writing has basically been a consistent problem with the series. And, nothing can save the episodes from that. The thing is, if they really were interested in thanking the fans, it would have been one or two episodes at the most, without flashbacks, like a true epilogue set 3yrs later.

Except, this was always a business venture, a profit making idea to promote Hotstar. And, what better way to do it than by involving the only fandom with a pathological obsession(I am guilty of it too) with the show even after years of going off air. I heard IPK had the highest views on HS or that it is the most viewed show or some such thing. That sort of explains why this drawn out mess has been made. In a way, I am glad this is the last time they touch IPK.

Give at least 2 episodes with decent number of ArHi scenes & all will be forgiven, at least from me. And, end this on a good note. They have had their fun. They got the numbers they wanted for Hotstar. Hopefully, we will get something good out of this too. And, with that, let IPK be done & over with for good. Some classics aren't to be meddled with, especially if your writers don't know what they had written before & are going to bluff their way through a mini series.

While I found episode one to be high on the cheese factor & episode 5 was as much of a filler episode as an episode can be, the other episodes have been ok, if you choose to overlook the fact that they were joking about new content.

Totally agree that Arnav is unrecognizable & his ultra mellow self is really nothing like his original character and does not have the same charm --

Its really sad that Khushi has not made an appearance in 6 episodes -- she's what makes a difference in the episodes --

The episode with Diljeet was really nice as she brought the same warmth to the episode --
