Author's Note: I have successfully completed my exams - managed to ace every single one of them. This OS was penned in a celebratory mood and in a short span of five minutes while i wait for my flight. I hope reading this OS makes you as happy as i am right now and do forgive me if it did not live up to the usual standard! Do look out for a New Year's surprise on the 1st of January 2016! Anjali: Please join me in giving a round of applause to the stars of tonight - Arnav and Khushi.

The curtains close and Arnav and Khushi get into their position. It was their Sangeet and their performance was going to be the highlight of the show. They had planned to do a waltz since Arnav was not exactly into dancing.

Arnav and Khushi look into each other's eyes and take a deep breath. This was it - all their hard work learning the waltz steps was finally going to pay off. Or at least they thought so.

Payal rushes to the stage and whispers to the couple that their track was missing.

Khushi: Kya? Are you sure Jiji?

Payal: Khushi, I've searched everywhere but I can't find the track cd. Everyone is waiting for your performance. Now what should we do?

Khushi looks at Arnav and then back at Payal.

Khushi: There is no other way then to call this off.

Khushi walks to the backstage dejected and Arnav follows suit. The curtain reopens and just as Anjali was about to call off the performance, the music begins. Upon hearing music, Khushi quickly moves towards the stage and there she gets a surprise.

manma emotion jaage
o beautiful girl,
when I saw your style, my heart became like Milkha,
it runs very fast..
emotions woke anew in my heart..

Arnav has his back towards the audience but is in a tshirt and his jeans and is seen snapping. When the lyrics play, he turns around and winks at Khushi before pointing to her. He starts doing Varun Dhawan's signature steps and just then Payal nudges Khushi who had been in a shock to go and dance with Arnav.

dil jagah se hil gaya re
tukDon mein nikla re dil ka chhilka
tune phenka khaa ke re
manma emotion jaage re
manma emotion jaage
the heart moved from its place,
the skin of the heart came out in pieces (like that of some fruit),
you ate and threw it.
emotions woke anew in my heart..

Arnav points at his heart and circles Khushi before continuing the signature step.

saiyaan.. mera desi typical saiyaan
peepal ki ThanDi chhaiya
mein naache ta ta thaiya
thaiya daiya daiya
my beloved, my typical desi beloved,
the cool shade of Peepal tree,
he dances in that shade,
O my god..

Khushi does a belly dance move and winks at Arnav.

o mere saiyaan, saiyaan saiyaan!
saiyaan.. saiyaan..

Arnav jumps down the stage and goes towards the family. He kneels near his Nani and starts singing.

dil ki phansi hai naiyyaa majdhaar mein
sun le vistaar mein
ho luT gaya pyaar mein
ye to bata de mere jazbaat ka
itna kam raTe kyun hai tere bazaar mein
the boat of the heart is stuck in the middle,
listen to me in detail,
I have been robbed in love.
at least tell me why the rate of my love
is so low in the market of love..

He points to Khushi and complains to Nani and Anjali that his heart was stolen by Khushi with a mischeivious grin. He later leaps up the steps onto the stage and pulls her close to him.

halka-phulka sa dhokha kha ke

even after promising, why didn't you come
the heart had an all-nighter,
after being deceived a little,
the heart was full of emotions..

Arnav does a pop and lock movement together with Khushi and the whole hall bursts in screams, whistles and claps.

when I met you on the turn of the street,
on the road next to the express highway,
the ill mannered one, he whistled after stopping me..
you teased me and signalled,
shameless, obscure,
saw, turned, moved ahead, said,
O piece of my heart, awesome figure,
come here and sit,
the seat next to me is free, come sit.

Khushi moves to the front of the stage and sits on the edge of the stage before rapping and pointing to Arnav. She continues teasing him while winking to the family

She points at Arnav and gestures him to sit as well. Together they do a leg movement step.

Khushi leans towards Arnav and together they pose for a photo.
