Days passed with the Raizadas and the Singhanias kicking start the wedding preparations. The whole Raizada Mansion was decorated like a bride, the colour of flowers and lights changing as the per the occasions. Neighbourhood kids ran through the whole length and breadth of the mansion, many a times colliding with Arnav, who would just give them a cute smile and pull their cheeks and shoo them away. Even Anjali was beyond surprised by the change in his grumpy brother, who didn't feel like searching for a reason to be happy. He laughed more, he spent more time with her, or rather say with Khushi, he went for shopping with his sister and her friends and did all those things which did not suit to his earlier personality at all.
Just a day before the wedding, numerous guests were gathered for the Sangeet - a celebration to let the couple enjoy one last time with their friends and families, before getting tied in the pure bond of marriage.
"You look gorgeous!" Khushi exclaimed as she entered Anjali's room, she herself decked up in a pretty blue-golden saree, while Anjali swayed in her place, looking at her reflection in the mirror as the crystals in her lehenga reflected shiny light.
"So do you!" Anjali replied with same excitement.Khushi looked around the room and found a royal blue kurta lying over a corner of the bed, unattended and sad. She went ahead and picked it up, before turning to Anjali, "Jiju's?" "No baby. I bought this for Arnav bhai, but he is so in love with his boring three piece suits," Anjali replied with least enthusiasm, sitting back on the stool and wearing her earrings. "I'll just come," Khushi said and ran out of the room with the kurta. "Who's there?" Arnav asked loudly when he heard a knock on his room's door followed by another and some more. "Wait dammit!" He yelled and opened the door, only to be greeted by a widely-grinning Khushi, looking no less than a goddess, at least according to him. Khushi looked at his present form and immediately turned her back at him, closing her eyes. A towel hung around his waist and his packed abs shined with water droplets, while his wet hair were splattered on his forehead. An amused smirk covered his lips, just when he realised that he was standing almost bare in front of an opened door. His hand tugged at Khushi's arm and he pulled her inside the room, closing the door behind her. "What are you-- leave it. Why are you naked?" Khushi asked, her eyes still closed and the kurta in her hands still clinging on to her chest. "Do you bathe with clothes on?" He asked innocently, deciding to continue the game a little more. "Of course not! I mean.. uh" she stammered, a rare colour of red creeping up her cheeks. Her eyes opened slightly as she heard his laugh, and her lips curved into a soft smile. His smile, too, was contagious.. Arnav walked to his wardrobe and took out a plain t-shirt and wore it quickly. Turning back to Khushi, he asked, "So tell me, why are you here?" "Uh yes, I came to give you this kurta. Anjali would love it if you wear this.." She forwarded the piece of cloth in his direction and he took it hesitantly. "I don't wear all this," he curtly said, eyeing the kurta. "If I say 'please'?" She battered her eyes innocently."Try!""Huh.. Pleeease Mr. Raizada?" She made an innocent face and narrowed her eyes, her mind making up all the possible plans to kill him if he says 'no'. "I would look like a fool in this!" "You are so handsome already; anything you wear would only enhance your personality!" She explained in a breath and cupped her mouth with her palm, realising what she just said. "Ahaan?" He again gave her his trademark smirk, his eyes shimmering with a new level of mischief. "Go to hell!" She blushed profusely and ran out of the room. "Accompany me!" He followed her to the door, bursting into laughter, before smiling happily to himself, "but Angels don't exist in hell..!" Arnav descended down the stairs along with some of his friends and cousins, not very comfortable in the kurta, yet looking breathtakingly handsome. Khushi was teaching the signature step of their dance performance to her friend, when her eyes went in the direction of stairs and her heart somersaulted. What is he? A Greek god or something?! "So, what's up?" She didn't knew when he came and stood right in front of her, so had to stumble back a step and breath heavily to calm her racing heart. Khushi was about to say when her friend pulled her with herself as some elder had called them to take Anjali to the car which was supposed to take them to the royal farms where the function was planned to be held. Arnav chuckled cutely and moved ahead to see the last minute preparations for the Sangeet. The whole event went on with loud music and lunatic dances by the very-far relatives who danced like polar bears dance after waking up. Exceptions were dance performances of Dhruv's sister with Khushi and Arnav's with his friends, which had aroused a feeling of Sangeet ceremony amongst the people, otherwise they had this outlook of being invited into a polar bear party with lots of food. Anjali almost forced Dhruv for a dance, to which, though reluctantly, he had to agree. The music was played and the couple swayed with the tune. Dheere dheere se meri zindagi mein aanaDheere dheere se meri dil ko churanaTumse pyaar humein hai kitna jaanejanaTumse mil kar tumko hai batana Khushi felt someone come behind her, close to her ear, and in a very husky voice, he sang, rather said, "Tumse Pyaar hume hai kitna jaanejana, Tumse milkar tumko hai batana.." The source of voice stepped back and turned to walk away, while Khushi too turned to look at him. "Arnav?" She said in her lips, looking confusedly at him, while he turned back for a second, holding his famous smirk right over his lips and Khushi blushed at the realisation. "I'll just come," she quickly spoke in her friend's ear and ran to follow him. "Arnav?" Khushi searched for him in the room where the bride's friends were supposed to stay, but she didn't find anyone. Just as she was about to go back, disappointed at his prank, she was pulled behind a curtain. As soon as their eyes met, he sealed his lips with hers, holding her firmly against a wall. Her hands slowly raised upwards to wind around his neck and her lips pressed more into his. The soft kiss turned passionate with their tongues meeting and the strawberry lip gloss touching his taste buds. They parted for air and she immediately closed her eyes, not wanting to be teased by his smirk. "I'm in love," he told her, pressing his body over hers and caressing the skin of her bare waist. "With?" She opened her eyes, looking into his dark brown orbs, melting with the depth of emotions reflected by them. "An angel who is supposed to reciprocate my feelings, but instead is asking stupid questions!" He smiled and placed a kiss over her temple. "I'll take it to be me," she simpered, brushing the back of his hair with her fingers, "What if I say I don't have mutual feelings?" "A crow will bite you then!" "Because you are supposedly telling a lie. Your eyes are more truthful!" He said as a matter of fact and stepped away, making her cringe at the loss of warmth. Her heart had gone insane already and the butterflies in her stomach evolved into giant ostriches somehow. She stepped ahead and took him in a bear hug, while he stumbled back a step to balance himself. "I love you too, Arnav!" She breathed into his ear, kissing below his ear lobe and then coming back to her original position. He again took her by waist and pulled her closer to him, kissing her again. "Where the hell is Khushi? And where is Arnav bhai?" Anjali stamped her foot in irritation, as she wanted to talk to Khushi about something and she didn't find her anywhere. "Relax Anju! Why are you getting so angry?" Dhruv patted her back time and again, while she just sighed angrily. Her gaze was wandering around the whole place when she saw Arnav and Khushi walking out of the gallery which lead to the rooms. "May I have the honour to know what precisely is going on?" Anjali glared at Khushi who just simpered, trying to lower down the heat being emitted by her cheeks, "You missed our performance too!" "Sorry..." Khushi trailed off, sneaking a reproachable glance at Arnav to speak. "Anjali, that.. I mean.. We.." Arnav started to stammer, and Khushi mentally facepalmed. "What?" Anjali raised an eyebrow, perfectly as her brother did, and bit her lip. They both shared looks and sighed, before nodding simultaneously and speaking in unison, "We both are in love!" "With each other?" Anjali's eyebrows raised a centimetre more and Dhruv could not hold back a chuckle. "Come let's celebrate," Dhruv intervened before anyone of the three could say something, and gently pushed them on to the stage, taking the microphone from the host to make yet another announcement.
