Indi,

Finally saw the complete vm. Remarkable. And what a song that is! My knowledge about western music is a complete contrast as that of Hindi film music. So beatles, is it? This is such a sweet number. Eager to listen to the other songs from the group.

Thanks for the crooner post too. I did feel I've read this before, but again not sure. That chase was something wasn't it? Loved how you captured those fast paced scenes. Heart stopping.

Aww Rhea, this is so beautiful. And you brought in all the relevant scenes in the vm. The rescues, the heart beats, you took us on a wonderful journey. Loved those above lines in bold.

Also saw the This is not Funny vm, I did remember that one from the jungle. Thanks for putting them together. 😊

Yay, ishaqzaade is back. I loved that one. The song completely suits them.

Holi's confession has taken a new shape here.He knew that day ,her innocent heart is telling him the truth and his heart didn't take time to tell her what and how he feels about her which she knew all long "Apne dil ki baat key dijye"
But that day Bhang made him said all those things,Yes intoxication , unawareness of the world.Just her and just him.

Today again unawareness of the world , just him and just her .She has to hear him , isn't she being doing since the first day she fell in his arms. She heard him every time his heart has called her either verbally or not.She hears him.Hamesha!

Today his heart and his call has brought her soul back to him.Now they are one after crossing every hurdle but they have reached to the peak of this mountain of Love and Care where every Dua , every prayer has reached to the stars, has reached to every particle of this earth which just wanted their union.

Dua , which Khushi seemed in the first episode before going to Sheesh Mahal finally answered.

My fav song .and Arshi VM,

Mehr,

Wonderful job on that edit. 👏

Beautiful write up. How true. It was Dua, which brought them together, all the prayers answered. And yes, a journey that started there in the first epi, now seems to have reached its destinated. Very well written Mehr. 😊

episode 286/7/8

love slipped out and was free finally. it landed a flying kick on dread, shoved terror away with a lethal punch in the gut, grabbed the collar of betrayal and said don't mess with me. then pointed the gun at fear's head and rasped through gritted teeth, "paani hai, plan barbaad ho gaya?!"

a long time ago they'd got him. on a night when he was too vulnerable, too young to fight back. they trapped him in a scream and locked him right in. a heart that ached, that tore and ripped, hardened instead, combating demons that wouldn't let him go. he couldn't walk away, they took him and walled him in.

they planned to set him on fire some day.

but then arrived water laughing and babbling like a brook, speeding on a scooter hell bent on reaching her destination like a river, a girl from gomti sadan. she raced to meet her destiny...

and down from the sky came a man called ocean and said he never misses his mark. little knowing, he was the nishana, a river was on its way to find her ocean.

as i watched the terrifically well shot fight sequences and chase and the magnificent clifftop scenes of these episodes, i could hardly think. every second was thrilling and then you were thrown straight into the grandeur of a man and a woman and a feeling melded with air water earth fire.

was this not a movie? a tacky hindi tv serial merely?

shyam realised he had been duped by khushi and gave the order to burn the place down, set asr on fire... the horror of that moment.

his wife shrilly wailed to her aunt that she was hallucinating even as she clung on to her vaham, her essential hallucination of a perfect husband... the ever practical aunt brought her beloved niece home and called out to the servant for water. the servant was named after god, of course.

"hari prakas, paani deo jaldi se!" and god seemed to bring water raining down on arnav singh raizada. rocky opened a window and hurled a fluid from a plastic jerrycan at asr. he was drenched... and i was shocked thinking that was diesel.

the first time i saw this scene i had no idea a switch had been made. but he smelled the liquid, being the ever pragmatic and focused man he is with a curious mind that never stops ticking. he knew this was no gasoline. yet he waited to see what the goons were up to, he had tackled a couple of them earlier, but now there were many more, he had to strategise.

what was interesting was that ticking mind.

he had actually allowed it to be bludgeoned on the night of the terrace, and stopped thinking... making a terrible mistake. surrounded by every demon of his, he had screamed again and they had reinforced the trap. water had not won that night, darkness had.

but this time he was not going to just give in to death as he had at 14, nor to fear as on that other night. this time, he was somehow better armed to take it on.

he had to meet her in sheeshmahal, didn't he. and she had to find her way to him in some strange and unpredictable way, didn't she. that evening too there had been a switch... she was not supposed to be on that ramp. yet she was. and she fell into his arms, crash landing and just refused to disappear after that... running after him at the dargah, insisting she'd work in his office, making deals with his girl friend to stay on and teach her... as he said that night before rakhi, she just refused to go away.

to break down that hard wall of terrible adversaries... lallan, rocky, stand back for you are nothing compared to dread, death, terror, ache, fear, pain, anger, betrayal... to vanquish them, he needed to be reached, touched, brought back to life. water is fluid, it flows into places solids can't, it seeps in through cracks and crevices and finds a way to get in, stay.

she did find her way into him. the day he smiled at her antics, was perhaps the first day he took a step toward fighting every demon off. and no matter how much he tried to not feel for her, believing she had betrayed his trust even, nothing worked, she kept flowing in... on laughter, smiles, her utter upbeat rhythm, her sanka, her sweetness. he could not resist. and as he said to her just a couple of days ago... she had found him, haan, mujhe dhoond liya tumne. was that not really about her making her way, against all odds, right into his being? his heart?

when lallan's matches fizzled out, he knew only one person could have made that switch... the little sizzler who would not be put down, never fizzle out... and with a smile of wonder and pride came, "khushi kumari gupta singh raizada!"

she popped up from behind packing cases, gleeful at having succeeded, and thanking devi maiyya, for a few moments so much the sparkling girl of the first episode. fresh and full of trust.

then arrived shyam and his disgusting frenzy. seemed he'd have loved her more if he'd known she were so twisted. an interesting conversation about how "gire hui" was she. and a bold assertion by her that for her husband's sake she would fall even further if necessary, because she loved him... so much. but perhaps what i enjoyed hearing most was her cutting tone when she told him she was nothing like him, shyam... nothing.

the first time i saw these episodes, and this time too, shyam made practically no impression... his story was weak, his acting flat. and given the beauty unfolding elsewhere, i really did not care.

but before i dump him, i wonder what was that about "pandrah din". asr had got only fifteen days to live... now that was done. was this in some way a reference to the dark period in one's life? in crooner, priya had talked about the fifteen days standing for a "paksha"... there are two in each month, one dark/krishna when the moon wanes, the other bright/shukla when it waxes. is this a refernce really to the dark phase in arnav singh raizada's life ending though it is flipped to sound the other way round and the dark one, shyam/krishna, speaks of it?

the ocean had decided he needed to meet his life force. arnav singh raizada was going to come out if his wife was out here. the fabulous fight between ugly hoods and a beautiful man that ensued was so gracefully filmed, him throwing off barriers and flowing toward us, almost like a tide coming in... a sense of freedom in it.

a stunning communication when he burst out of the godown and standing on the verandah caught sight of her for the first time. almost instantly a smile flashed, no matter they were in the middle of absolute danger. and she smiled back ever so slightly right back at him... a connection, a giving of breath to each other... of life... a moment of immortality... and rabba ve of course was the name of this moment.

he didn't see shyam, in a fairly well directed placing of actors and camera angles, this got done. and onto the ballet like chase, a terribly handsome man with hair tossed by the wind and a search in his eyes in an open top rugged vehicle followed by a clutch of murderous men on bikes, while in front raced the small half man who so wanted to be the big guy with the girl who now feared even less, now that her arnav ji was here and determined to reach her.

she had saved him, now it was his turn. i wondered why we had to come all the way to death for their story to complete. the words "jeetey ji", while one's alive was used by both shyam and khushi. as long as she were alive, she would not let any harm come to arnav ji, she spat out at shyam as 287 began. shyam vowed what asr hadn't given him while he lived, he would give him by dying... khushi ji.

but then i felt, it had to come to death. and betrayal.

for it had all started with death and betrayal... of a loved one, and by a loved one. and it had to come back to the death and betrayal of a loved one and by a loved one for arnav singh raizada to be free. and perhaps that's why there had to be that misunderstanding, where he believed the one he loved had broken his trust... he would have to grapple with that... and today he would have to see her in the grip of death.

fire destroys fire... to catch a thief set a thief. and so his mother's death and his father's breaking of trust... khushi brought both spectres back to him. she the instrument that would let him live again. she that key... the mannat key, i suddenly thought. he had said "phenk do" but she wouldn't. she was that key on which a mannat stayed... maybe a dying mother's wish or am i being melodramatic?

a truly beautiful tale springs ridiculously elevating surprises at you... in these episodes ipk did that again and again. a moving story had been brewing in someone's heart... i am grateful that despite all the horrors that the trp chase brought upon us, the real story of ipk did not plunge to its death, it only seemed like that. it breathed dammit breathed. and a love story lived on.

what he had lost to death and betrayal, today he would have the chance to win all that back... but would he be able to?

need i have worried?

how viciously the goons had tried to hold him down, but he brought forth all his physical might and prevailed. shyam gagged and bound her and left her to die under the tyres of his jeep... but he kept his head and swerved in time to save her. he watched over her as the hoods caught up, and again fought with all he was when they circled him like vultures. but then he saw what he never ever thought he'd have to see.

khushi plunging to her death.

he forgot everything, he ran to save her. they tried to stop him, but he was not going to let them. lallan should thank his lucky stars, asr was too focused on khushi to bother to pull the trigger. he couldn't care less whether lallan died or not... khushi... where was khushi?

actually she had been on his mind from the moment he saw that water and realised it must have been her.

her name was on his lips constantly as he drove... and as she fell off the edge of the cliff.

khushi... khushi... khushiii had started already... he knew very well she couldn't hear him calling her from the car, then why was he saying her name? if we happen to be theist, the very name of god is considered powerful... to have the name on every breath is a form of praying, on the inhale, on the exhale... the name.

i did not count how many times he called her by her name... i just felt his devotion, his love, his conquest over himself... and the freedom within him. at long last.

in 286, we had been cooped up in a godown... in 287, it was the road... and now we reached the earth and the sky. rabba vey sang the wind, water flowed and washed away pain in untrammelled tears.

but before all that, again.. a smile. when he spotted her lying prone on the slope under a tree. his sister ad commented on it earlier... this crazy girl who'd stop at nothing to reach him, perhaps the most precious gift she released in him was his smile. his laughter.

it made him happy, it made him strong.

how moving was the acting by barun sobti as arnav singh raizada felt every terror, fear, pain, hurt, horror, tear, ripping of a single thought. khushi is no more.

he has always feared the loss of a near one. he cannot face it... he cannot take it. a part of him ends every time he thinks of his mother's death.

and now, khushi is gone?

when he was 14, he could not do a thing about what happened. but this time he was damn well not going to let anything happen. he ran about wildly, calling her, he spotted her, he gathered her in his arms and pulled her up and he sat on mother earth cradling his love in his arms, reviving her, calling her, telling her to come back... he spoke to her constantly, his fear perhaps propelling him, but also his determination not to let her go.

talk to me, say something, khushi khushi khushiii... and then he saw her hand fall limp to the ground, the hand that always held him when he lifted her... fear rushed through him. he remembered moments when she had spoken of dying... a chill clutched his heart, he checked to see if she breathed, he tried to resuscitate her, he told her to speak to him dammit, this was not funny. he commanded her to breathe. breathe.

he pleaded and said, she couldn't do this to him...

for endless minutes he did all he could to get her back, there alone on a clifftop, no one around, no help for miles around... and the sky and the earth watched quietly.

he raged, he shouted, he seemed to be standing before the eternal and demanding she be brought back to him. every time fear came, he fought it off and grew more strident in his call to her. he had tried to reassure her at first, how very tenderly he'd said, look, everything is alright, you're okay, i'm fine, we're safe... open your eyes, khushi, say something. he'd thought she would respond... did i see a little child in him for a moment then? almost asking his mother to open his eyes, look at him, come back? he has been to this terrifying place before.

then he grew more and more desperate... and fierce... refusing to give in.

he tried to massage warmth back into her palms, to find a sign of life.

nothing.

whatever he could do using his powers of reasoning and thinking he did. nothing worked. she was not breathing.

he was bereft, broken... and with a desperate love for her in his heart, he turned to only that feeling and lifted her still hand and put it where it belonged, on his heart... the place she had streamed into despite all the barriers and walls and met the ocean within. his deep, vast heart.

holding her close, letting his tears come, he let his head rest on hers... khushi, he murmurred. this time perhaps sure, she would not answer...

hmmm?

the heartbeat... their story was all about that after all. dhadkane. he was hers and she his... he seemed to give her her heartbeat back by putting her hand on his...

in that heartbeat perhaps today is a trust in life that was robbed a long while back.

when he heard her, for a moment, disbelief... and then a smile. yes, again a smile. arnav singh raizada has found a thousand different smiles with and for this love of his... each one says love in its own way...

she coughed as she started to breathe again, you could see a spray of saliva come and hit arnav singh raizada... why did that look so wonderful? felt real...

and then with the most incredulous joy he turned to her and held her.

even the way he put his arm around her seemed to have changed and become more nurturing... like she was the most precious thing ever. and indeed she was. she was perhaps that pearl that made the scattering, the bikhar jaana of his entire life bearable.

he sat with her in his arms, smiling, crying, just being thankful... a grace in these moments. and sitting up there on the clifftop, we seemed to move up another level in this love story... going even deeper into the nature of love and reaching upward with an ambitious lunge.

she looked at him and she too had to say his name first... to have him near, to be in his arms, after the hell she has gone through these past few weeks and the damnation of having to be near another man... and yet, i don't think for even a second khushi doubted that her arnav ji would reach her and save her. her calm, tired smile seemed to say that. she tried to speak, he said shh shh, no need to say anything.

the first time too i'd found that intriguing. and it was beautiful that he believed her without her having to say a single thing later when she accused her culprit.

on the bridge the other day he had not been able to believe her even as she told him everything. but today, after all they had been through, and after he had finally battled and wrestled with demons and was at last free... he really did not need to hear anything any more.

he put her dupatta back on her shoulders in a telling gesture. her dupatta always said many things and it had been the last thing he'd seen as she fell. as he placed it where it belonged he seemed to say, he'd protect her honour always.

as he went to pick her up, her hand did go up as it always had, right from that day at the guest house and she clutched his vest... oh the happiness on arnav singh raizada's face at that.

there was a sense of completion up there beneath the clear sky. the young man who had held darkness in his eyes, now his irises held a bright new light and the girl who had looked up at him petrified in his arms one night, now stroked his cheek lying comfortably in his arms, becoming his, making him her own.

he carried her and walked to the car, a temple in the background, white pristine. the shots had a sense of the sacred and a larger than life feel, something elemental, big. like the feelings within, like the feelings without.

on this clifftop, for the first time he said, though he did not complete the sentence perhaps because he couldn't, not when she was in this state... but he did realise clearly... main tumhare b-

i can't live without you.

if not for a great plot or even a rational basis for kidnap, for using it to reach this point, many thanks to the writers.

ipk would not be what it is without the acting of barun sobti and sanaya irani... these episodes again said that repeatedly to me. they made ipk breathe... even when everything tried to throw it over the cliff.

Arnav finally drives back to shantivan. Khushi is still languid, can't even walk properly. Arnav helps her to walk and to climb the stairs. When they reach the threshold of the house, Khushi tells Arnav that she needs to tell him some important thing. Arnav doesn't want her to take any stress now. he thinks, they can talk later. He is about to press the bell, but khushi's words stops him,

"Don't you want to know, who kidnapped you?"

Arnav tuns back with ambiguity. And without much ado khushi reveals shyam's name. Last time she did a big mistake by hiding Shyam's truth from him. But this time she doesn't want to do any faux pass.

Inside the house nefarious Shyam has already arrived with his new snide ploy. Anjali is dressing his wound. Is she a dolt that after hearing his intention to divorce her, is still taking care of him! yes, unfortunately, this point onward she is excactly who it's near impossible to figure out... the di he adores comes across as a most shallow, selfish and pointless creature, who is positive one second, negative the next... remember how she goes to watch a movie the day after finding out her husband killed their child? i just don't get it.

Shyam dissimulates innocence; he says it's just a simple wound. But his gullible wife doesn't want to listen; she wants to take care of him like a mother. By the way it is mentioned in the fake will paper that Shyam is 27, much younger than Anjali. wow, sohara, that's a discovery... i never noticed this. and if that is the case, then he is asr's age, even more like him, and the younger husband angle, uff why did they not elaborate, makes things so much more interesting, even di's paranoia can be understood better. thank you so much for this, sohara.

May be that's why she is over possessive to him. Anyway Shyam continues his shenanigan that he had an accident while he was riding some khurana's car. Khurana is his client. He lost control and it banged with a tree. Nothing happened to him and he is the one who dropped him home. He recollects how he intentionally made the accident to implement his ploy.

Khushi confirms Arnav again that Shyam is behind the kidnapping. But Arnav asks her is she sure. And she replies with confidence that Shyam is reprehensible. He wants to know, does she have the proof. Khushi says nothing, but her eyes glints with confidence.

Inside the house, Akash wants to call the doctor. But Shyam refutes, he says, his rani saheba is here and she is enough for him. He knows well how to inveigle his gullible wife with his cagey words and to use her weakpont. Mami wants to ask Shyam about the divorce thing, but Anjali inhibits her. she prefers to remain in delusion. She doesn't want to ask and hear anything. He is safe and sound, that what matters to her. She

Khushi enters the house right then. Everybody is stupefied to see her tousled state. Shyam gives her a surreptitious sideway glances. His look says that he is guilty. Payal panics and asks her what's happened. Nani is also dumbfounded, how she got hurt? Mami looks a bit incredulous though; is she thinking whether Khushi and Shyam were together as both are hurt.

Shyam comes to Khushi and asks her what's happened with her? So as Nani . Before she can answer anybody Arnav enters the house. Everybody is flummoxed to see his dirt smudged face and clothes, and his disheveled state.

"Chottey" Anjali is bewildered and runs to him and so as Mami.

"Arnav bitua, how are you? Are you fine?" She hugs him in relief. Because she knows from where he is coming from?

Nani starts to cry, "Chottey how did it happen to you? And Khushi too!"

Payal asks "Khushi?"

Arnav's anger pulsates to see Shyam's audacity. after committing a cardinal sin, how cum he is here! He gives him a contemptuous look. Without talking further all the family members bring him in the living room. Maim asks him, "how did he escape?"

Anjali is awe-inspiring, "what do you mean by escape?.

Mami asks him "did he call to police?"

Nani is in consternation, "police? What are you saying manoroma? Chottey, you went abroad right?"

Mami' says in a repartee, "Sasuma, Arnav didn't reach his destination."

All are flummoxed to hear this. But Shyam tries to percolate by hiding his look. All have questions in their eyes.

"what Mami is saying? You went to Scotland and you called me from their. You also sent gift for us." Anjali charges him with fusillade of questions.

Mami says, as Arnav has returned, then there is no point to hide the truth.

Anjali rankles, what truth she is talking about, why they are beating around the bush?

Arnav tells her to relax. But how Anjali can relax, when he is in such condition? She is not understanding what Mami is saying. Shyam tells Anjali to leave this matter for now, cause Saale sahab looks tired.

Mami gets sullen to hear shyam, "Damatji, it's a very important matter, can't stall like that. It has to be discussed right now."

Anjali also assents her. Mami is enraged, she says "not to say quiet, Arnav bitua didn't go to Scotland. He was kidnapped."

All are aghast to hear this.

sohara,

so shyam is younger.

why oh why did they never bring this up... makes everything so interesting. yes, di would be unreasonably possessive. and his seeming similarity to asr would be even more, making them like the good side and the yuck side of an idea...

nice take... i found the next three episodes harrowing, though they had a certain power.

let me go read your part one.

Ek dooje ke liye
Zehnaseeb mere Faiqa, iss tohfe ke liye shukriya. 😳
Ab khulkar ek dooje se laga li gale
Na koyi baat ab chipi, na kuch kehna hai baaki
Donon bane hain ek dooje ke liye
Translation:
Love is going through a test
In one's breath is trapped another's life
They hid their heart's saga from one another
Now it is being conveyed through their emotions
Whom he wanted to keep far, to whom he showed hate
Now unconscious, she lies in his arms
The fear of losing, which he went through many times earlier
The same fear may not come true this time
The heartbeat became the medicine for the restless heart
A heart heard the other's plea
The crying tears became that of happiness
A sight such as this love was never seen before
The moments of love was wrapped by complications
Now openly they are embracing one another
Nothing is now hidden, nor anything left to be told
Both are made for each other

that breath thing, beautifully said, durga.

it's so much about breath and the heart where life resides...

beautiful poem. thank you.

The most surreal moment I have ever seen in TV is when under the azure sky, in the verdant surrounding of a cliff top, a woman who looks angelic in repose coruscates from the embrace of the most handsome man of the world. Never knew that a dirt smudged face and in a dirty vest, a man and woman can be looked so ethereal! 👏 👏 👏 It's inevitable, as they are Arnav and Khushi, not some common folks. Not only their look enthralled me, but the emotions, the love what they conveyed just bedazzled me so much that took me to the world of ecstasy, where love is so deep, so visceral. in this surreal moment they talked merely, but their emotions spoke redundantly.

In the beginning of the episode when Khsuhi fell down from the cliff, Arnav's spirit literally was sinking in every passing moment. After a while when he finds her inert body clinging with a branch on the edge of the cliff, he feels a succor.

"Khushi, everything will be fine." He tries to assuage his tumultuous heart as he pulls her up.

One of the goon calls Shyam to let' him know that Arnav and khushi escaped from their grip. Naturally Shyam exasperates; all his plans went in vein. So he concocts a new ploy for his self defense.

Arnav puts Khushi down on the ground. His heart cringes in fear not to see khushi clutching his shirt like always. He recalls the moment when first time he clutched his collar after got fainted in the guest house. Then next time in naninital when she was fallen sick in fever. Burgeoning tension assails his heart. He tries to wake her up. He says her tenderly, they are escaped and he is fine now. An intense protective tenderness rushes through his vein. He holds her beautiful face in his hand which looks so angelic in repose. He gazes down at her and feels an inexplicable twinge of compassion for her. But Khushi is not responding at all.

"Khushi why aren't you saying anything? Khushi talk to me .khushi say something. khushi, Khushi?" he bit out with almost maniacal fury by shaking her body. His heart anticipates a formidable fear to see her unconscious body and slams painfully against his ribcage. Then he notices blood in his hand with which he was holding her head.

"Khushi, khushi talk to me damn it. This is not funny." he says angrily, the rapidly mushrooming desperation is evident in his voice.

He berates her with endearing authority, wishing she may wake up hearing his scold, but no avail. He gets more restless, any how he has to get her sense back. Khushi just can't leave him like this. He rubs her hand, tries to warm her up, but no she is still inert.

"Please say something Khushi." He beseeches her to wake up. But instead of coming back from sense, her hand lolls down from his hand. He looks at her lovingly who is now looking like a fragile, porcelain doll. He holds her head in his hand, pleads her to say something. He is getting insane in every second.

Arnav now muffles her head in the crook of his neck, as if a she is his baby. A deep throbbing starts up inside, even as he clutches her closer to his heart. There is a rueful expression on his face. He begs her again to wake up.

He keeps his finger below her nostril to check whether she is breathing or not.

"No, open your eyes, please, I'm telling you to breathe damn it."...yelped Arnav in a menacing tone. But nothing is working. His heart and soul are stricken by a devastating pain that wracks his whole being.

He lays her down and pumps her chest trying to resuscitate and pleading her incessantly. with the caustic pain gnawing at his heart, he recalls what she said during heer-ranjha act,

"The best moment of your life and the worst moment of ranjha's life will come now"

He asked her with ambiguity, "what does it mean"

And she replied she will die.

A tremor runs through his vein; the thought daunts him. her words reverberates through his whole being leaving him burnt and scorched. He nods his head no. he can't let her die like heer. In the heer-ranjha act he wished to meet Khushi in some other world. Cause in this world she was a swindler to him. But now when he came to know the truth that not a swindler, but she is his viscus and she also loves him like her life, how can he let her die. his hope is now like the last flicker of candle's flame before it dies out completely. He again pumps her chest to get her sense back.

"Khushi, please wake up damn it. Khushi please say something to me." His voice constricts with pain and agony and the sheer intensity of his fear leaves him momentarily disoriented, shredding him to gruesome merciless pieces. Is the things are getting impertinent, is God bereaving the most beloved person of his life, like the way he did 14 years back!

"Just think, I also became a star, in the night, third from the right, what is the brightest one, is me."

Khushi's words resonate in his ear and make him demented more. The air around him shudders with immense grief.

"No Khushi, you can't do this to me," he checks her breath again and gives her mouth to mouth CPR. He lifts her torso again in his robust arm. He contemplates her beautiful face with enormous love in his eyes. He cares her face lovingly. Comforted by the reassuring warmth of his finger against her cheek, while Arnav gazes at her features render angelic in repose, the laden weight of woe upon his heart gets heavier and heavier.

"Khushi say something. Khushi please say something."

He presses his lip on her forehead, can't understand what will make her resuscitate. Holding her head on his hand he incessantly pleads her to speak and to wake up.

" Khushi, without you...you can't do this to me...Khushi don't...you can't" His words are getting disjointed, incoherent. Avalanche of emotions engulfs his heart. tears are welling up in his eyes as pain submerged in a sea of fright. His mind ebbs back in the most surreal moment of their life, while both were inebriated.

Jab Tum mere pass ate Ho, Tumhari Dil Ki dhdkano ke sath sath mere dhadkane Bhi Tez ho jate hai, humari dhadkane Ek Ho jate hai.

He holds her hand in the most inviolable place, his heart like the way he did it on holi. And he nestles her body with him. He knows well how their hearts are connected. He keeps her head right above his chest, where his dhadkane, his heart pounds behind his ribcage. He is wishing a silent supplication, if his heartbeat can make her heart to beat. He shuts his eyes with embroilment.

Dhak Dhak, Dhak dhak... His heart is beating for her. And he utters Khushi with deep emotion. By the reassuring strength of his encircling arms and the energy emanating from his body, life seems plunges in her unconscious body and her fingers move slightly. How beautiful her creamy slender fingers look on his manly chest. And he hears, she says hmmm. He opens his eyes in a jolt. Hey hey and Rabba ve enters in the Bg. He looks at her face in anticipation and his heart brims with immense delight to see her open her eyes slowly. She gasps inaudibly, as if the oxygen really plunged in from his heart. A wide variety of emotions ebbs and flows from his heart, coloring his face with it's invisible brush strokes. His broken heart replenishes with pure happiness. His countenance glints with a glimmer of smile. He enfolds her fragile body in a warm embrace. He cradles her head in his arm to see her alive. There is something new unfurling in the caramel depth of his eyes. 👏 👏 👏With so much love, Khushi whispers arnavji. She gazes up into his eyes earnestly which are flickering now with undecipherable emotions and this is a moment in time that will imprint in her heart and mind for eons to come.. But he doesn't want her to take stress by talking. he hushes her as if she is a little girl.

"You don't have to say anything."

Khushi touches his cheek to caress it. her face beholds a perfect mirror of tranquility to see her man safe and sound. He holds her hand and kisses on her palm. She is looking at him with teary eyes and he also is staring at her with enormous love. He again kisses on her forehead and takes her in his warm embrace. After facing so many tempests and crossing so many hurdles, when he finally got her, his happiness has spiraled to the zenith; he can't understand how to express or pour his love to her. a new sense of comfort envelopes them even as their bodies perfectly moulds against each other and their hearts beat as one. They stay enveloped in the warmth and oblivion of an invisible cocoon. time seems congealed as Arnav sits down enfolds Khushi in his embrace. But they need to go to their safe heaven, their home. So Arnav breaks the hug and stands up. He puts the dupatta around her neck what was lying beside. Her dupatta is a pivotal part of her life. By wrapping around it on her neck he symbolically restored her safety. he is always her protector, her savior. He helps her to get up. But she is so emaciated that can't stand on her feet.

And her knight in shining armor is just agog to carry her in his arm. This time Khushi's hand involuntarily clutches his shirt, what is really dirty now. His face suffuses with a bright smile. He is khushi's protector and she relies on him, the feeling gives him a surge of satisfaction. Inadvertently a glimmer of smile suffuses her eyes, which look clear, luminescent and fill with mirth. With an ease he picks her supple body in his strong arm and immediately looks in her eyes. She also can't take her eyes off from him just for a moment. Carrying her lissome body in his arm, he starts to stride towards the jeep. her dupattta is flying in the air. How perfectly she fits in his arm as if made just for him.

By keeping her hand on his handsome face, Khushi is trying to feel him by her every sinew. a deluge of indecipherable yet powerful emotions shudders across their heart. Their eyes are transfixed by their gaze. she just stares at him wondrously discovering her own joy reflected in his caramel pool. And the solemn look in his caramel eyes is submerged by love in their swirling depth. It is imprinted with a fluttering joy at being blessed with something as wonderful and rare as their love. A love that surmounted all barriers and a joy that is supreme.

It's inevitable, as they are Arnav and Khushi, not some common folks.

Sohara, such beautiful edit on top with the reflection effect..👏

This write up of yours so very rhythmic that one gets flown away.. with your choice vocab..I lived the entire moment live through your very engaging commentary.
No their dirty cloths or bodies didn't at all hinder the purity of that moment...we all were pained along with him what if the unthinkable happens.. and a "hmm" never sounded as life infusing as this one.. that only asr- khuhsi love story could make one perceive... indeed a man in the dirtiest of vests and a girl all bruised torn dress were the most beautiful.. you know they could have made this melodramatic with some hospital happenings up and down. but not to be.. this edge of the life threat would only bring together, loop together many of their precious shared moments.. like the lapel holding, heart beats in sync.. and this love story would remain in a special league of its own...
yes, I recall all the talk around that BG of RM and the supposed kiss pic you posted. But khushi was evidently unconscious there . no scope for any intimacy.. sorry to deflate.😊

My heart shatters in fear

I can not lose you now

There is too much I have to say

I can not live without you

My belief in your belief is here to stay

Khushi.. our hearts beat as one

With you gone I am no one

Wake up..

Do you hear my call

I have and will catch you

Each and every fall

Shh..

I hear you

I am alive now because of you

your silence speaks to me

at last we truly are free

Come let me carry you away

In my arms is where you will forever stay

Your caress on my cheek

Love..I never knew it would have a name

My Happiness.. my khushi

Losing you would have driven me insane

There is no me without you

I safely tuck you in my heart

A kiss

For all the days we spent apart

Precious you are

Your dupatta dancing in the winds

Our life together is heralding

Cloudless skies azure

Green Valleys spread out below

A temple, is it the sign?

Our story will forever be divine

In each others arms are you and me

Together as one for all eternity

I know ASR does not believe in god but in moments like these I think you do start believing in things.. sorry fr the temple and divine portions in the poem.. he might not give it a name..god.. but there is a belief that is born and persists.. and anyway it did fit nicely with the rhyme.. hehe..

Beautiful verses rhea.. my most fav the last one about the kiss and union..that flying dupatta indeed looked like an unmistakable sign..
asr may not have started believing in God.. he certainly did matters of heart... what khushi did initialy... reflecting their confluence.. but to me always he came across more take in by heart, emotion becos he only did what he believed in.. whole heartedly. One can always swear by God, swear by heart.. Khushi and him.. and both had their unmistakable presence in that union.. the divine and the heart beats..
you are on a roll rhea...loved all your works ..
