What is the big qurbani that Barun made?

So I finally got a chance to see Abha Parmar aka buaji's interview where she talks about Barun.

I had tears in my eyes by the time it was over because she highlighted exactly why I love and respect this man so so much.

But she talks about Barun making a big qurbani in respect to leaving IPK, or that was my understanding of the statement. What does she mean and why use that word?

In a more recent twitter exchange Rajan Singh, the executive VP of SP UK said that health was not quite the reason Barun quit IPK and that he made a mistake by not taking a correct decision at the right time.

What are all these people trying to say and why not speak clearly and why now after a year of the show going off air?

I am so happy that Barun has a wonderful new project with a good team and I hope he can finally move past the whole IPK fiasco and all the negativity associated with it. I wish him nothing but the best always👍🏼

As far as I understand she meant Qurbani in the sense that , he was at peak of his career & popularity. He could have easily made money & name for himself, but he decided to listen to his heart & quit for whatever reasons. Thats what Rajan Singh also meant. The only difference is one was admiring & other was little sacastic. I dont find any hidden meaning here.

Obviously he made a *qurbani* people who have brains can see it! Others will keep defending, by saying *there was no reason.* :/

I don't think there is any hidden meaning, qurbani is a pretty direct word..

Rajan Singh was very pro Barun, he was the one to take down the disclaimer in the international markets. Just because he questions his decision and says something we as fans don't like to hear does not mean he was being sarcastic, in my opinion.

My question however is to those who called him unprofessional, selfish and arrogant and still do. How does qurbani fit in with those adjectives that too from someone who was willing to drive a taxi in Australia rather than take a huge amount of money for a promotional event😕

There are many aspects to the IPK closure that will always remain unknown, but small tit-bits like these coming from the cast and crew who were with him do provide some insight on what went on at that time. Whatever it was, I am so glad that the entire cast stands behind him like a rock and continue to love and bond with him to this date.

I think this forum has seen enough of the whole speculation regarding why IPKKND ended and who was at fault. Whether one blames or doesn't blame Barun Sobti is a whole different matter that brings about fights and bashing. So, I'm closing this thread.
