I may or may bot agree with you.. I as a reader, read every stories and also vote for them only.. but I don't think there is any wrong if a writer is winning again and again!!! we readers chose them and gave our voted to them too!! so there Is nothing wrong in that!!

I agree with you partly.
I too feel that the custom of giving awards is partial. They always say that they have considered other writers too but really, they haven't.
I have come across many writers in this forum who are equally capable of winning awards just like the ones popular. Just because they are popular, people go for their stories in the first place and so they get more readers. Whether it is exceptional or not is another matter altogether.
But the writers who aren't popular but are extremely good, no one wants to read their stories. Also, I never saw anyone considering them for any award either.
Where does that leave the new writers who are in no way less talented or perhaps even more good than other recognized writers?
I don't know whose mistake it is.

But nowadays they keep giving awards to the same writers so I don't think anyone cares who wins or who doesn't. They have made it a common thing that it has lost value. So I think in one way, awards do not make any difference.

I agree, and can relate to your frustration. There are many more deserving writers who don't get the recognition. But we must keep in mind that this is just a site, don't over-think it too much, because if you are really an influenced person who has 'friends', can only manage to change anything. I think i've been around for sufficient time to understand the biased-ness of this forum.

This is a friendly reminder to not pinpoint any specific member. The awards are based completely on members discretion. So, if a deserving writer doesn't win some award, then really, does it even matter? I don't think it does, as long as you write well and you have people reading and appreciating your story, it shouldn't really matter if you win an award or don't.

Just leaving a note in here for now, that NO members username or name needs to be mentioned, if it happens, then this discussion will be put an end to.


PS: I'll also try and get FF teams attention to this, because I do believe that this sour note is coming from the awards that were just held in the FF forum? Correct me, if I'm wrong please.

It is not just the FF awards but also other awards that I feel this happens and that is why I am fed up, really because I feel that no one gets the chance to win. For some it is just a award but for some it can make you feel special and feel it is worth it also. Yes, you have readers, also but understand that a award for some can be a feeling only some knows. It is like when you win a contest and the feeling you have...yes, you have supports with you but still...if you know what I am trying to tell. and what is fun if same type of people always wins...

And if you look on this topic, it is not just me who feels like this...it is other members too who feels like this also.

About when it comes with names, that part, I am sorry because that was something which should not have taken but it was one member who kept telling so in anger I said like I did what I did. But, I am sorry on my part and hope no one felt bad and understand that I feel bad and have understood my mistakes.
