Part 13 " Khushi rushing by like a scared rabbit, leaving behind a perplexed Buaji and Amma, is cute. The reasons Buaji comes up with for Khushi behaving as if her tail were on fire are hilarious. "Did Sanka Devi burn down Sheesh Mahal?" She is quite capable of doing that too! Highly amusing how Khushi escapes out the window and Arnav realises the fact... that he doesn't lose his temper and throw a tantrum is surprising, though! "Why are you hiding in your room like a new bride? Shall I bring a palanquin to escort you out, Nandkisore?" Buaji's quips are just the tops! The idea of the mighty ASR trespassing in search of his bhootni [nice pet name, by the way] is comical yet heart-warming as it clearly shows his desperation not to lose Khushi. She gloats over the notion that she has managed to escape him while he's stuck enjoying her Buaji's company only to have him grab her arm as she enjoys Mittu's company... that must have been quite a shock... the accompanying song is very apt as each and every line reflects what is transpiring in the room. He pulled her deep into his arms, folding her arm behind her back and forcing her against him, her chest against his, her face near his... awww, one of his signature moves in the show! Mittu seems to have her own critical review of the scenes as they unfold: "Shaitan, Shaitan!" "Balma... Balma...," Mittu sang, perching on a beam and looking down at them, wondering at the strange mating rituals of homo sapiens... that's a good one! Their battle of wills sure is interesting, especially as Khushi is handicapped by scenes from her dreams intruding upon her reality and muddling her thoughts... that Arnav knows exactly how his proximity affects her, and uses it to his advantage only adds to her problems. Something as simple as a caress reflects such passion, sigh... that's the power of your words, Smita, and the picture you weave! Khushi seems to have taken some self-defence classes... ASR generally has women falling at his feet... having one stamp on his foot must be quite a novel experience 😃! Khushi's tirade is as unique as she... poor thing doesn't realise that, in the midst of dressing him down for the liberties he took with her, she has blurted out that he invades her dreams, thus giving him the opening he needs. "Besharam kahin ke! Badtameez! You take your anger and your badtameezi and get on the train to Delhi if you can fit all three of you on one train." Reminds one strongly of their meeting at that restaurant [in the show] when she says that ASR would be needing two chairs " one for him and one for his ego! That must have been the most abrupt proposal or, I would say, order, in the history of proposals! And, of course, Mittu has to have the last word... very fitting quote.

Part 14 " Loved Khushi's reaction to Arnav's proposal', especially the "What for?" Then she doesn't wait for his reply but busies herself with throwing more questions at him. He hopes she would accept without him having to bare his feelings. These two eccentrics are totally made for each other... the way their minds work is crazy! ASR was always like a bomb ready to go off. But Khushi was perhaps the only person on earth who could claim to have frustrated ASR to such an extent that he was tempted to pull out his hair with his bare hands and roll on the floor in a childish display of temper, but the irritant was supremely unaware of her inborn potential and innate talent for disrupting his life... One of the best descriptions, by far, of their crazy equation! Khushi said, placatingly, "Ok, Baba. I agree." ASR's heart did a pole vault. She was willing to marry him, throw in her lot with him? Khushi's seeming acceptance of his proposal' must made him feel on top of the world, if only for a moment, before her statement, that he is the most badtameez man on earth, brought him crashing down... what a letdown! Your name is included in the Guinness Book as the most badtameez man in India... somehow I thought she would be more familiar with the Limca Book of Records than with the Guinness Book! Khushi must be the only being who can leave Arnav reeling and speechless with her unpredictability... Arnav just managing to bleat Khushi's name from time to time and her "Jab dekho Khushi, Khushi! Yeh Khushi Khushi ka kya rut laga rakka hi?" just slew me! Khushi's craziness seems to be rubbing off on Arnav: He should have started AR Sweets rather than AR Designs... Was it too late to grow a mush? He should have gone to Benares to learn paanmaking instead of going to Harvard for his MBA 😆! That image of that chubby cheeked semi-balding paanwala with his luxuriant moustache boggles one's mind especially when one imagines the petite Khushi with him... no wonder the whole conversation left Arnav gasping for breath. While her implicit trust in her family is moving, blindly accepting whoever they choose to be her groom may not be a very sensible thing to do especially if she is doing so because she feels obligated to them... this should not be her way of repaying them for their love and care. Khushi thinking of her hunger and what dishes her Amma has made juxtaposed against Arnav experiencing intense feelings of empathy and commiseration for what Khushi's loss is sheer genius. By declaring that she would marry the person chosen by her family, she doesn't realise that she has given him just the opening he needs to tie her to him... "You will marry any man your family chooses?" he asked, brains in full gear and hope budding in his heart. "Whoever he might be?" ASR confirmed. "Ji, Ji." "Promise?" ASR asked... nice to see the shrewd dealmaker back! "Let's see if the paanwala is able to visit you in your dreams, Khushi Kumari Gupta!" ASR smirked as he left the room... what a comeback!

Part 15 " Anjali's preoccupied reaction to Arnav's declaration that he wanted to get married, Aman's shock, followed by Anjali's round-eyed about-take and timid query to confirm that it is Khushi he's thinking of marrying make for a hilarious beginning to the update. "We need to go to Khushi's house and book her before some paanwala comes and stakes his claim," ASR proclaimed... it's almost as if he were reserving seats or rooms or something of that kind! An ASR damned scared of a paanwala stealing his Khushi right from under his nose is a humorous sight. The Aman-Anjali exchange regarding Arnav's comment, and the two having fun at Arnav's expense, makes for a heart-warming and amusing moment. Sensible of Anjali to wonder if Khushi is willing to marry Arnav... her feelings are as important to her as Arnav's. Khushi seems to have dug her own grave... eager to know how, after having declared that she would marry anyone of parents' choosing, she is going to get out of marrying Arnav. "Chotey, will the Guptas be willing to marry off their daughter to a boy from Delhi? They might prefer someone from Lucknow, someone who won't take their daughter away from them...," Anjali had to ask... Arnav is so focused on winning the prize " Khushi " that he is ignoring the small print. Thank god for Anjali and her sensible approach to getting Arnav what he desires... wonder what ASR will do if the Guptas refuse the proposal for the very reason Anjali has expressed... very unlikely, I know. Aman quickly left the room, lugging his laptop behind him. He did not have the guts to listen to two confessions from the Raizada boys in one day... this Aman is such a ray of sunshine... love how he has a role to play in this story, rather than being just a name or a means to get things done... his actions and especially his quips make one laugh! Akash stumbling over his confession of love for Payal and Anjali nearly having a heart attack at the thought of a possible love triangle is highly amusing. What a fellow, he can't even tell his mom about his chosen bride but needs someone else to do so. "Akash, ask NK Bhai if he too has found someone. Then one call will do to fix three weddings!" Reminds me of Mr. Bennet's quip after he agrees to Elizabeth marrying Mr. Darcy soon after he gets Mr. Bingley's proposal for Jane! Khushi peeled a potato violently, imagining that it was Arnav Singh Raizada. "Arnav Singh Raizada! I have peeled you. Now I am going to cut you into little pieces and put you in a pan with lots of spices! Ha! Let me see how you like the chillies!" Khushi smirked, her eyes glinting with an evil light... truly, Sanka Devi! And Buaji isn't far behind: "Hai Re Nandkisore! You are talking to an aloo?" Buaji asked. "I agree that its cost has gone up in recent days, but why do you have to threaten it? It is not the aloo's fault!" Buaji hit her head with her hand. Love how Arnav always lands up at the Guptas, uninvited, and bulldozes his way into getting what he wants. More than the Guptas' answer to the two proposals, I am eager to know Khushi's reaction to hers!

Part 16 " Khushi seems to be really into the typical bidaai scene with buckets of tears flowing, as shown in serials and films. She commenting that Mittu is better than any groom and her thoughts immediately going to an arrogant Raizada indicates that he has had an impact on her and her emotions. ...the bird, thanking a kind fate from saving her from a watery grave... funny! That yellow lehenga with the green-red dupatta is really beautiful... an already smitten Arnav lost in dreams of is a foregone occurrence... loved Khushi's fury at his ogling. Akashji smiled at her. She smiled back. He looked at Payal and blushed. Payal blushed back... they will timidly, silently and blushingly go on their romantic journey, unlike the fireworks that keep going off when their siblings meet. Mittu surveyed the motley crowd from her place at the top, hopping on one foot and then the next, waiting for something exciting to happen... she is quite human in her need for thrills... am wondering if Khushi plans to take her with her when she marries ASR and what the latter's reaction would be... the wedding night, with the parrot's pithy comments in the background, should be interesting! "How do I know, Khushi?" Payal asked, scared, excited... looks like Payal has made an educated guess as to why the Raizadas are in their house, and doesn't mind. "Each time the Rakshas comes, he brings more of his family with him!" Exactly my thought... and not so much as a by your leave'! Trust Khushi to have an over the top reaction to the news that Akash wants to marry Payal: First it was the Rakshas chasing her. Now it was his brother chasing Jiji? Soon Nanheji would demand Mittu's hand in marriage! It's almost like that of a kid asked to give up her favourite toy and not willing to do so. On Jiji's shagun, on her sagai, on her mehendi, on her sangeet, on her haldi, on her marriage, on her suhaag raat... no, not on her suhaag raat... thank the lord she stopped 😉! Khushi's thoughts dwelling on his kisses only to come to a screeching halt at the realisation that his family has asked for her hand in marriage to him and there's no escape for her is just hilarious. Her vociferous Nahin' is funny, yet I can't understand her family's reaction... they seem to have dismissed her shocked response and not noticed her animosity toward ASR, probably believing this to be her eccentricity or bashfulness speaking. There was more danger of her feeding the Rakshas poison instead of food, the way her temper was soaring... She would show him what he could think! Khushi seethed, dwelling on the many things she wanted to do to that smiling face! Her murderous thoughts cracked me up! The two sisters' vastly differing reactions to the proposals reflects their dissimilar characters... and what an about-turn in Khushi's opinion of Mittu: earlier, she was better than any groom and now she throws her pillow at her! Something tells me Khushi will get the chance to give Arnav a piece of her mind... won't be surprised if Arnav doesn't request the Guptas to allow him to speak to Khushi... he knows she is dying to speak' to him... if nothing else, to smirk at her at having put one over her! The future promises to be quite interesting!
