The Haunted Mansion
The six of them stood outside, staring at the rusted metal gates of the old mansion. It is said that the owner of this mansion was brutally killed inside the mansion and burried under it, now his ghost was looking for his revenge from whoever entered the mansion. Some people believed it to be true whilst some believed in the story.
"Oh come on guys, move yourselves, don't be such chickens!" NK encouraged all of them to enter the mansion.
"Are you sure we should do this? I mean, it does look scary. I think we should just forget the bet and get out of here" stated a hesitant looking Khushi, who was unknowingly clutching Arnav's hand, who was standing right next to her.
"Ohh, Khushiii!!! All these stories about this mansion are made up by people, plus we can't back off now, we have made a bet" lavanya moved from her place and walked up to Khushi, squeezing her shoulders reassuringly and encouragingly.
The thunder in the dark, dead sky was just making the scene scarier.
"We just can't let that kameena Karan win, after NK, Arnav and Payal helped us lose the dancing competetion miserably, we have to do this task" Akash added earning a glare from Arnav, a punch in the arm from Payal and a flying kiss from NK.
"I told you guys to not make a bet, I wasn't gonna partcipate in the stupid, useless competition anyway" Arnav was so not interested in the stupid dance competition held in the college but he was somehow made a part of this bet.
"Anyway, we should get over and done woth before Khushi just runs away" Akash moved towards the metal gate, to enter the compound of the mansion. The rest of them followed in, one after the other.
"Its okay, I'm here with you" Arnav leaned in and wispered right next to Khushi's ear who merely nodded in response.

The wooden door creaked open as the six of them entered indside, one by one, Akash at the start followed by Payal then Lavanya then NK, Khushi and lastly Arnav.
The house was totally messed up with cobwebs all around, broken vases and glasses, all the furniture covered in dust and ragged white sheets.
"Sooo, what are we supposed to do next?" Asked a confused NK, turning around in a circle, taking a look at the messy house.
"Ummm...they said..." Lavanya started but was stopped with a loud BANG of the main door banging shut. They all looked back at the main door in horror! Akash and Arnav walked forward and tried to force the door open but no luck. It was as if someone was holding the door shut.
A strong gust of wind blew causing all the white sheets to fly off the furniture. The pieces of glasses started flying around, they all unknowingly split into two teams and ran for their lives.
Arnav clutched Khushi's hand and dragged a shocked Khushi up the stairs followed by NK and Payal.
Akash and Lavanya ran towards a room which looked like a kitchen on the ground floor. Once they were in, they locked the door and sat right next to it.
"This wasn't supposed to be happening, I swear, this mansion wasn't actually haunted. Mann, once we are outta here, I'm not gonna leave Jay for sending us here" said Akash trying to catch his breath before he felt some tapping on his right arm, he turned only to witness Lavanya's horror stricken face pointing towards somewhere in the front.
"That is if we make it out alive!!!" Lavanya screamed before getting up hastily and reaching out for the lock to open it. Akash's gaze transferred to the front where he saw a knife coming closer to them, ready to attack. The most horrifying part was that there was no person, no hand, nothing! Just a knife!
Akash copied Lavanya's steps and got up, before rushing out of the door behind Lavanya.

When Arnav, Khushi, NK and Payal had reached the first floor, they had rushed into the first door they had seen. It was a bedroom, the condition of it was not much different to the rest of the house. It was not long before they heard heavy footsteps following them and all had successfully hidden themselves with NK trying all sorts of postures behind the bed to hide, Payal inside the cupoard and Arnav and Khushi hiding under the table. Khushi was sitting in Arnav's lap with her face in the crook of his neck and her hand clutching Arnav's collar.
"See, Arnav I told you all to not come in, see what's happening now, what are we gonna do now?" Khushi couldn't help but sob.
"Ssshhh...its gonna be okay Khushi, we'll be fine" Arnav tried to console Khushi before.
"Khushi, I need to tell you something..." Arnav hesitantly said and continued when Khushi indicated him to, looking confused.
"Just in case we...I don't make it out of here, I...I have always liked you... A lot" arnav confessed making Khushi look at him, wide-eyed.
"Really?" Khushi confirmed.
"Why do you think I came to this mansion for the stupid bet, because I knew that you were coming" Arnav confirmed it.
"I guess, I share the same feeling" Khushi stated before looking down shyly making him smile at her.
Suddenly, the door opened wide and two pairs feet barged in. Arnav and Khushi stiffened up and held their breaths before they heard some voices.
"Khushiii...NK...Payal, is anyone here?!? Arnavvv!" They could hear Lavanya calling out their names.
Arnav popped his head out from under the table before replying.
"We're all here" Lavanya and Alash looked down at Arnav and Khushi, NK and Payal came out from their hiding places as well.
"Guys, we have to get out of here before anything happens" Akash worriedly said before explaining the incident that happened before.
"Guys look here!" Arnav exclaimed looking down at the pipe near the window.
"We could climb down this pipe" NK said locking the door.
"Hmmm" Akash said opening the window.
Arnav climbed down first to check if it was safe followed by Khushi, Payal, Lavanya, NK and Akash.
Finally they were out if this haunted mansion. So, all the stories were true after all. Khushi gazed up at the mansion only to witness a shadow moving near the window before finally walking out of the main metal gate and far away from this mansion, never to return.
