Journey to Fadak padta hai'..

New promises with New year with new hopes & dreams have been made. Khushi's promise "jeet humari hogi"[ I will succeed] to be with her LG unintentionally .The word "Humari" means she and Arnav both will succeed .Arnav's promise to see her Angelic face for the rest of the life without uttering it yet coming to her to that moment to see her speaks it self. Fate's promise for Anjali not to see scorpion's face @ 12 to make sure he will be out of her life for good.All these show that these relations do matter no matter what."Fadak Padta Hai" in each other's life.

The paralyzed moment gets really heated and offensive movement to avoid vulnerability for each other.Arnav with anger," "kya zaroorat thi mere saamne aane ki..." [ What was the need to come in front of me.]"mera naya saal barbaad kar diya..." [ruined my new year].

Pause here:So he believes in such a thing as Akash reminded him later in the car, but he does not have any answer as it's upsetting and new to him that how he can lose to her while he was the one who gave her the ultimate speech of her goofyness .

Khushi after covering herself with her Dupatta retaliates by scrutinizing her eyes ,"hum! hum aapke saamne aaye... bade jyotshi banke bhavishya vani kar rahe thay keh ghoom phir keh tum mere samne aoogi..ab kaun aya kiss keh samne.. aap humare samne aaye humara nya saal barbad karne keh liye" [ I came in front of you, you are the one who were being the great astrologer and predicting the future...that I will goof up to come before you,it's you who came to destroy my new year]

khushi's bina break keh gari [car without breaks] just takes off '.which stops by a threatened finger "don't think you've won because I came in front of you "She points back at him with childish face[love Sanaya here]... "I will not think'. no need to think... because I have won."Arnav screams at his lost bet,"Shut up"

Pause here: They fight like kids yet one thing is clear if he is so relaxed and out of his ASR shell near her no matter what and loves her for her childish moves and joins her now and then , she loves his propelling heated attraction and joins him in that intensity too'in which they both forget their surroundings

The next scene brings the biggest "O" on her face when he rips her shirt while taking out his phone during Buaji's attack as his watch gets stuck in there and the moment she wants to rip him apart'..a famous IPK hand stops her .Payal is out at the door but before leaving he chaffed at her ripped shirt "Jeetne wale ki shakal aisi nahin hoti..."[ winners don't look like this]...didn't stop yet while moving towards her as a predator to pin her down in her own game "tum haar gayi, khushi kumari gupta, have a good year." [you've lost, KKG, have a good year]...

Khushi in her bemused "O" wants to give this high-fi boy some piece of his meds and I want to join her '.

PONDERING CONNECTED DOTS:Just like other elements ,certain things always give these two an occasion to stuck with each other from earrings to Dupatta and now shirt'..hmmm''a man releases his woman from all these before making love and joining souls''isn't that what's going on ere since from the beginning.

Symbolism and connection: His watch meaning time'..her shirt meaning her respect got entangled meaning it's inevitable to separate these two.But Arnav rips her shirt'rips her respect by marrying her forcefully in misunderstanding and then mock her with that "Gold Digger"''later in car he keeps that piece instead of throwing meaning he keeps her respect intact with him no matter what.

In car with Akash , it's hard for him to let down his ego "dammit... itna kuch sunane ke baad main aisa hone kaise de sakta hoon."[Dammit, after saying all to her, how could I let this happen] He blames on Akash... "Yeh sab tumhari vajah se hua hai." [this is all because of you!] He miffs at her winning power over him.Again Poor Akash gets the heat , "sab tumhari vajah se..."[All becoz of u] Akash with helpless yet with derisive look ,"But you don't believe in it"

Other side the declaration of War by the Maharani " Khushi Kumari Gupta'"to her Maharaj over the victory is being announced but whose victory'',The clock has been winded, Time has been set and the shunk has already blown a long time ago''during Janmashtami by Khushi for her Kaans'..now it's the time to dance at it's tune''.for the rest of their life'.

Love payal's perplexity over this win or lose game'..and then her irritation by this Maharani of dramas' "Inteqam ki aag agar sulagh jaaye na..tou sone aa jana."[ Come to sleep after putting this revenge fire off]..OK I am trying to recall which movie,because this dialogue is so familiar'

Cute denial awakes his ownership and ghunssa for a man who was in his territory today..NK..He confronts him with his jet lag hinglish'.and then he is the second one is declared as "Unbelievable' after Khushi.. hmmm'.so this gritted man adores purity and innocence with goofiness which is in abundance in both of these lunies'awww..No wonder, they were bro and sis of the same species'😆

The Fate is playing funny games on this side as a married man Scorpion is lurking at Khushi's picture while making his wife blind in his so called love.Just irks me'..but Fate is promising to get rid off him this year for sure'.His bracelet connected hand is holding the phone with Khshi's Pic with his BG music making it more tacky and sticky'😡

Arnav gets to know his Di's little accident and screams at her for not taking precautions .His Di makes him calm down and then asks her question"Did you go to a party?" which brings back the Angelic face in front of him with all the innocence of the world to sooth his pain.He bids good night as this party has just started for him.😆😆😆

New morning and new memorandums are being announced in GH for "Yulgar" to win at any cost and "lekhak" [writer]is KKG'but Payal does not approve her writing.

In RM three ladies are planning wedding and festivities and the dance master showed them back as no one wants to follow her.Mamiji is relieved but get insultiwa by MIL in publicwa'.Naniji is the only one who really can make her dance at her Mudra'

Symbolisms and connections: These two pickle jars represent two treasures as Arnav and Anjali to Naniji while Arnav is saving Anjalui ,the same these two jars are Khushi and Payal as Khushi is going to save Payal sacrificing herself and at the same time two young brides are bringing respect and honor to RM .MULTIPLE meanings'.as all these relations are treasures.

khushi mumbles while getting in RM "Aisa koi nahin hai jo naach nahin sakta uss laad governor ko chhodkar, "[There's no one who doesn't know how to dance except Laad gov], Nk in making impression on her but failed by a mosquito attack.Khushi's jumping around this mosquito was embarking rage in LG and that rage reaches its hikes with clenching jaws when he sees NK's hand holding his gal's wrist''and the yalgar shifts gear here.If looks could kill then This would be the last moment of NK's life and his hinglish'.It seems he will chew him under his gritted teeth...

While trying getting rid of mosquito she reaches to their eternal Heaven and Her Maharaj comes face to face. "kya kar rahi ho tum?"[What r u doing?] Maharani in her unbelievable state,"shhh'.. bilkul chup...!" ''. "aapke bhale ke liye hai... kuch mat kahiye... aur hiliye bhi mat..." Pause here:I am taking this scene as Khushi's slap VS removing mosquito[NK] with the idea of competition separately as Showing Arnav if you can't accept this love by your heart and if mosquito is bothering you in your brain then have a competition and lets ses who wins...and Arnav takes that Yulgar as slap on his respect and EGO ...how could she...Just a thought...

He turns to Khushi,"aur tum abhi issi waqt yahan se chali jaao..."[ And you, leave this place now.] She starts apologizing with, "dekhiye, hum dil se ...,"[Look, I from my heart'] he loses it, "I said get OUT."

PONDERING CONNECTED DOTS:This is second time Arnav got beaten by Khushi..She threw hot tea one nice day when he accused her for breaking his Lappy and today hot Thappad after calling her loser'Man has to learn his lessons '

khushi comes flying down but instead of mosquito now slap is bhin bhin karing in her ear.He comes down "aisa koi competition nahin hoga.." [There will be no such competition ]with his anger along with his BG score.He definitely lost his temper with NK's presence around Khushi'.and this is the only way to keep em apart'.at least for him'.Akash agrees with Bhai'..Everyone tries to resolve the issue yet unsuccessful'.

Khushi blames herself and takes the responsibility and knocks at Maharaj's den "Arnav ji, hum do minute aap se baat..." [Arnav ji, may I speak to you for two minutes]... Arnav in rage yet hurting voice while fixing his tie on his white shirt..,"Mujhe nahin karni... out!"[ Idon't want to... out].
Khushi in her bewilderment,"par hum toh bahar hi hain..."[ but I'm outside... ].

Despite her apology he is still simmering in anger.

By ignoring that [she starts, "dekhuiye, arnav ji agar aap thappad ki vajah se... hum..." [see, arnav ji, if you are angry because of the slap..] tears enters the war as pawns to give her Queen support' as she cripples in this war.

He turns by pulling his tie off and ready to yell yet sees her in tears His weakness'Maharani knows it and using it against all the odds'.Focus is diverted and now Maharaj is losing as his expressions changes his moves to overwhelming concerns

Very politely and huskily "Khushi!"..

She explains, "Dekhiye, arnav ji, humne jaan boojjhkar nahin kiya... hume pata hi nahin chala ki macchhar aapke gaal mein..."[ Look, Arnav ji,I didn't do it on purpose, I didn't know thay there was a mosquito on your cheek]

He shushes her gently (and how killer was that gently, this boy gets nuance like not many do),"Haan theek hai, '."rona band karo..."[It's ok.. stop crying.

Mharani perks up with half victory by clearing her tears,"toh aapne humain maaf kar diya'."achha' toh hum sangeet rakh sakte hain,"[So you have forgiven me so we can have the sangeet?. ]

He looks at her astoundedly,"what?...toh tum yeh acting kar rahi thi"[ so you were acting all this time]

Poor Maharaj has the most disturbed opponent who can shift gears in seconds'..His anger which changes to concern to gentle love barges in with flaring nostrils without words now'..Barun gave so many ragge of emotions in these couple of seconds...Just outstanding!👏⭐️

Maharani doesn't stop there,"Aap phir se gussa ho rahe hain..."[ you're getting angry again...]

Maharaj exasperates,"get out... isse pehle keh main..."[ get out, before I...]

Mharani does not know how to stop open fire,"Iss see pehle keh aap kya..."[ before you... what] Not a good expert warrior'..as her opponent is going through phase shifts'.in her Love'and her undeniable attraction which is making him lose over her'Yes ASR is losing over Khushi to transform into Arnav by heart and Brain''

PONDERING CONNECTED DOTS: In Epi 74 he closed the door at her when she comes to say sorry for throwing hot tea and he doesn't even listen...He throws her out when she wants to apologize for not knowing their parents anniversary.He yells at her and degrades her by calling her a servant when she comes in his room for putting broken Laptop...Today he is angry yet standing listening her no matter what and she is not that scared either...Reduction in love slowly...

in dimmed light, among shadows and whispers, a clandestine air clung to the episode. at times stung by sheer nefariouness, at others touched by passion. and at least once, lit up by an unexpected spark in the heart, quickly snuffed by a lie.👏

the entire episode felt like a prelude in many ways. a build up to something big, the bated breath of the last evening of the year in it. what did the coming year hold? what was to happen at 12 midnight...

shyam swayed with his wife by the pool. a deadly wire waiting to spell death. she so trusting, so gullible. he peculiarly devoid of any conscience. all set to kill her merely because she comes in the way of him grabbing his latest fancy. khushi ji.

she would have gone to, if an elder hadn't stepped out at the right moment. mamaji.

"bhagwan ke sukar hai hum aa gaye sahi waqt pe..." thank g, i came out here at the right time, said mama ji with his customary quiet yet astute way. there was a sharpness in him, an ability to love, and perhaps a man who was romantic in his own way, seeking a more lusty mate than the upper middle class women of his generation.

sahi waqt. right time. why did i get the feeling, this was a little peak into the future. story would bring us to a point where mam ji would arrive at a timely hour again, to reveal the truth of shyam. remember him and shyam at that key makers? what happened to all those hints that were dropped? all vanished, along with this understated actor with an endearing hold on tongue in cheek humour. 😆

the creatives surely had amnesia.

in a darkened living room at khushi's place, mama ji's son, like his father a romantic at heart, has come to woo his lady love. amol palekar in the mid seventies comes to mind. the classic portrayal of the middle class everyman with a gently tenderly quiet lover in him. his view of romance a little different from the matinee idol's with spark, storm and thunder. no no, here a shimmery tender sort of breeze of feelings... wafting, lilting and seeking sweet affirmation.

but tonight, akash, when thwarted by his cautious payal ji, showed the thrill of passion. in just one unexpectedly grabbed and held hand.

payal is confused... and excited... and scared.. not used to midnight trysts clearly. akash has planned a surprise for her, gallantly he out his hand... will you come with me.. she is of course demurring. they sit at the gupta house dining table, pickle jar in front (365 days a year the jar sits there... when does the pickle ever get ready?).

akash reasons with her, everyone's sleeping, khushi is visiting neighbours, he is proposing a something close by. please come.

payal jumps to her feet and requests him to leave.

as she hurries off, he catches hold of her hand to stop her. and something ignites. not akash ji and payal ji for this moment. they were just akash and payal and an "i want you" unspoken between them.

akash had something smouldering in him too as did payal. within the essential calmer, quieter make up of their personalities, there was the possibility of passion. one that could have been used well in the story. we crib about the destruction of the tale, but i wonder is it possible to stay true to what you try to create if every week it has to be assessed for marketability and you are badgered to change things around, somehow fit that moment's "brief"? i have heard ved raj say that they had no idea payal and akash would become a couple when they started out but somehow these two seemed to come together well, so a track was created. might have been successful too. but the frenzy for trp, the silliness of thinking just showing lots of asr khusi with no real base/story coming along would solve all problems... not accepting the ebb and flow of everything even trp... just finished it all off.

SP's hegemony again ruined it. My mom likes the show Qubool hey. I sometimes watch it with her. It's 4 lino's show. And they very beautifully showing the parallel track in the show. Of course their leads are not magnificent like Arnav and Khushi. But the show is successful and the TRP is quite high.

i can't cook a thing straight if too many dos and don'ts are stipulated... write a beautiful story? not possible i think.

in their moment too, a prelude... to what is still far away in the future. between asr and khushi, this exact gesture will be repeated with them. at least twice. akash and payal were often like mirrors in another timeline.
Payal and Akash's love is yesteryear kind of love.

"shikayat toh nahin karna chahta, par aaj main parde ke pechhe chupa, table ke neechhe bhi..." don't want to complain, but here's all that i suffered today for you... so cute akash is doing a gentle blackmail to get her to agree.

just when he thought he'd lost, she said she would, "it's very cold outside..." yes, it's delhi, payal... "hum shawl lekar aate hain..." i'll get a shawl.

her gallant offers her his jacket, pleading with her to hurry up, before anyone wakes up and comes into the room and discovers him... one threat of that having just been averted, and in the bargain much suffered.

he is about to get up and leave. but he is stuck to the chair.

so starts a round of comedy with the lover stuck to a chair, though mysteriously at one point a sheet appeared, it covered the back of the chair, and had found its way to the space between the stuck posterior and the cushion. nothing as they say is impossible.

a great struggle to free the midnight lover boy ensued. buaji woke up. quilts were thrown to cover the truth. buaji almost beat the boy to a pulp,😆 but payal showed courage and brains and a presence of mine that saved her young man's life.

it was a riot.

and in it was another scene, soon to come in a new avatar. a shot of mr akash singh raizada under the dusty musty quilt, a precursor to the angry mr raizada in a similar state but in a totally different frenzy.

finally payal convinces the stentorian aunt, that she would manage all, you just go to sleep in peace... "aap aram se so jaiye buaji... hum kar lenge." in a short while khushi will be saying the same thing to buaji. the whole evening the two girls will try to get bua to sleep and get up to some ahem with the boys... hawww.

hehehe, bua is too over protective of her beautiful young nieces. And the two girls are too sharif, i wsih if they would be a little bolder with their boys. aree baba it's new years eve, to thoda wild hona to jayez hai.😉

just like those bad bad girls they are not not not at all like. this is terribly cute. human nature i guess, when romance arrives, a little clandestine behaviour becomes de rigueur.

"khushi agar hoti..." if khushi were here... payal needs khushi to solve problems... but she doesn't have her phone with her.

"payal ji payal ji payal ji, mujhe chhorkar mat jaiye... bua ji phir wapas aa gayi toh" akash exhorts payal not to leave the room, in case bua ji arrive again... akash, chill baby. poor man in such a state... akshaye almost coinvinced me that he was indeed glued to the chair.

"m... m...mein bhai ko phone lagata hoon..." khuhi is payal's and asr is he is akash's problem solver...

bhai is at laptop, looking grim... and sort of ddg. i need to pause and gape.

"hello...bhai..." whispers aksh. shush, bua ji will come... she the gabbar singh of this sholay night. two men, two women and a formidable villain. khushi will definitely go basanti later something tells me. 😆

"hello, akash, tum itna dheere kyun bol rahe ho?" aksh, why are you talking so softly! ah the frisson of impatience in the voice already.

he is stuck, wails akash. yeah, asr is not surprised, bro had gone there to get embroiled in things romantic.

"bhai bhai... main waisa nahin phansa hua nahin hoon, main chair pe phansa hua hoon... bahut boori tarah se." no, bhai, i am not stuck in that, i'm glued to a chair... badly.

aaah so... but someone else will be "waise phansa hua" soon. stuck like that...

a major explanation is furnished by akash... silent film style only on music. then "what!" an expletive splits the night.

followed by "that's ridiculous. now what!"

if you'd come... akash pleads.

"main nahin aa raha aakash, tum uss khushi kumari gupta se help le lo... waise bhi usske paas bahut saare stupid ideas hotey hain..."

i'm not coming, akash, you take help from that kkg, she has many stupid ideas.

khushi is not here.

akash is visualisuing the new year morning with him glued to the chair, babu ji walking in... is stuck/glued another soon to come theme?😆

"yeah ok...main aata hoon." bhai can't take it, he capitulates.

bhai bhai... meri ek pant la aana.. please, please get me a pair of pants, he requests his impatient bro.

an exasperated look...

and we have nk doing his quilt act. once satisfied with his camouflage, "khushi ji... mainaa raha hoon," he declares to flamenco beat in bg. khushi ji, i'm coming.

somebody else is also coming to not see uss khushi k g.

when he arrives at gh and realises she's not here... "thank god, yahan pe nahin hai..." thank g, she's not here. so he has given that 12 o'clock thing credence. and why that forlorn look as if uh huh, he almost wishes she were around.

akash: haanh?

asr looks back startled and immediately guards his expression... "er, nothing. let's er get your problem fixed."

sabse pehle sabse simple cheez try karte hain. let's try the simplest thing first.

akash is rather good as the uncertain ditherer.

tense moments...

"payal ji, yeh glue lagta hai bauhut achhi quality ki bani hai..." payal, looks like this glue is of very good quality, akash battles frustration in his way. wonder what would have happened if bhai were stuck instead. poor chair, would certainly not have survived.😆

Poor Akash! instead of feeling bad I was guffawing to see his condition.

he's of course, carrying some glue dissolver or whatever they are called. payal is sent away by the boys as the operation glue bye bye takes off.

memories of eighth standard summer holidays visit, akash recalls glue on his bed and being stranded their the whole day.

payal says sweetly, "haan achcha hi lag raha hai." yeah, it's looking good. takes up for the underdog always, this young woman.

lovers retire to nearby huddle. darwaza bhi nahin lock karna padega... the door won't have to be locked. niiice touch.

he is about to leave... when... oops no phone and where could it be... inside... goes in after a lovely bit of considering things.

i enjoyed the entire setting up of asr reaching khushi's room at the right time.. sahi waqt was key to this episode, wasn't it? every detail was taken care of to transit asr to kkg's domain, for a little hamesha making. well written, light and crazy yet focused.

in walks madam jalebi and cracks standard see you next year joke on her way into her home... she will have such a good time with jiji...

lariya bhi toh jalane hai... kuchh achha bhi toh mangna hai. got to light crackers, and ask for something good.

well something gorgeous is standing in your room. did you ask for it?
