wow i din knw Mills nd Boons is so famous...my elder sis has restricted me from readin those books

but i would still say Arnav is completely diff from the characters of M&B (m sayin this without having read any of the books ..call me crazy 😉)

thanks, supriya... ha ha no way could i interrupt the two, hp had had his way with them too many times.

and you are abs right, he was not m&b really... started out sorta mills and boon man, then just grew and became deep, dark, beautiful, bathed in a different light. and how they made him suffer, poor asr.

and now they've stolen his stubble 😆😆😆.

why didn't she let ya read m&b, your sis? the old ones are oh so fooey romance... thrilling when you're 13/14/15/16... my mom read 'em even at 50. yesterday while looking for prelude references, prelude to enchantment popped into my head. turns out it was an m&b... i must have read it 35/7 years ago. 😆

13-16 tht was the time wher i was exploring Harry Potter...i was so into it...i used to come out other possibilities hopin Sirius Black wasn dead nd all tht sort of craziness 😆

i hrd abt M&B only after my 10th nd sis was lik don read those books...then i nvr bothered...then comin here i saw so many references to those so nxt time whn i went to a book shop checked out few books but wasn so intrigued

then recently in class i asked my new friend abt those books...she told me nd then i realized why do you guys keep comparin ...but somewher i still don find any similarities between the books nd our Raizada man

speaking of all this naming hegemony (all names those i can name or not name, all names anywhere everywhere and nowhere, are mine, my franchise, my channel power, me, me, me),

aren't we, blast from the past, that is, the original iss pyaar ko kya naam doon - ek baar fir?

i mean we have been doing precisely that 3 december onward... reliving ipk... one more time... iss pyaar ko kya naam doon? ek. baar. fir.

ek episode at a time. no ramanchi. no kidnapiya of stubble. no miscarriage of lau or justice.

so now that i'm thinking, and since we came into being way before one numbers sp (not brother/cousin/any relative of hp, op, jp) with hegemony in its vein and brain... claiming ipkknd - ek baar phir as their property, shouldn't we be suing for copyright infringement or chori, dakaiti, something?

what the... give us back that name right now to us, and that stubble too.

otherwise, be prepared to be bombarded by our... nah, we ain't petitioning so you can send us standard format silly notes on your delight at nuking us... that's too tame. face instead our drool corner, our just loop it, our riddles, our poems and more... and our ghosts.

ha ha, yeah, it was my first "os." i was mad at what was being done to the characters, specially my boy... so...

when i was growing up there were no books written for and marketed wildly to the tweens and teens. actually the tweens didn't exist. we were children, then teenagers, then adults. you read enid blyton, some other stuff and went straight to adult things. agatha christie, etc, georgette heyer, m&b, fascinating bestseller writers like irving wallace, arthur hailey (i stole the lower case idea from one of his characters), jeffrey archer, robert ludlum, leon uris, harold robbins (a bit more "hot" but lovely nonetheless), mario puzo, roald dahl... so many of them. of course, there was also p g woodhouse, hemingway, steinbeck, arthur connan doyle, kipling, and more...

from 13 to 22/3 i read a lot of that, especially bestsellers.

i still think there's nothing quite like the bestseller writers of that time. thick books, often well researched, with a deadly plot, memorable characters, and written for everyone... no high brow pretensions at all. charming, gripping stuff.

he is inspired by the m&b hero, but he is nothing like him at all. "hate is akin to love" was pretty much an m&b byline... that idea 4 lions took and polished to nafrat/mohbbat.
