Khushi felt his presence
She always had,
But today there was something else in the intensity of his gaze
A fire that seemed to be burning in his eyes
And the flames of which were engulfing her
Across the space !
His eyes captured hers
And like moth she fluttered
Unable to look at him
Yet unwilling to move away
Wanting to be consumed by that fire!

Loved your description... You know when I read the title... I, for the life of me couldn't figure out what scene... And I had prided myself that I knew IPK like the back of my hand.. But the second I started to read... A silly grin broke out on my face... What an absolutely romantic scene... Coming at the tail end of a superb week... With the best still yet to come... What heady days those must have been on the forum... I started the show too late and joined the forum even later... Anyway to come to the scene...
Moth is absolutely right...but did you feel that she was the moth... I felt other wise... That he is drawn to the fire... Being pulled towards her...that he is parwana and she the shama... Or Maybe both??? But I agree with you about her fluttering...
Phone forgotten in his hand...he is hypnotically mesmerized ... Unblinking... Unable to even think...She senses him before she see him...Her gaze flutters... sometimes on him..sometimes away... But never for too long... Her breath falters...she cannot bear the intensity of his stare...Both are taken aback by La's request... Khushi is positively terrified... As though she cannot trust herself to be so near him... Terrified that he might just be able to hear her heartbeat...Without breaking his gaze he moves with into the circle of fire...Just when he stands in front of her, facing her...he gives in...the only tell tale sign of his emotions ...His tiny blink ...and puts forth his hand...
I have rewound and watched the hand at least a gazillions times...😛
Will you trust me when I tell you that My heart races every time I see his hand being put forward...
He doesn't just present his hand for her to take... He throws all the weight of his presence in that hand ...it really is a kind of surrender yet very much an ASRish florish... Understated but a loaded Here I am!!!! His hand dips and bounces back ever so slightly...not at all straight froward... She slips her hand in and he blinks again.. ❤️
Arshi... Thank you for reminding me of one of my favs... And for the PM!!!
