ArHi TS : Mine **Reposted**

Arnav had bought a special surprise lunch for her along with a small packet wrapped in a green glitter paper. Her eyes stole glances at the same while she had her food sitting along with Arnav. He was still on duty and he was busy the whole day it made Khushi sad that she will be all alone for the rest of the day, without Arnav's company her life seemed to move on a slow pace.

She was getting used to him and his presence so was he. He always came rushing home, whenever he got some free time. He was always with her during his break like lunch, tea, dinner etc. Which made her extremely happy that he never wanted to miss any of his free time lurking around the hospital canteen or corridors, lest meet her.

They finished their food in silence exchanging awkward glances at each other, as Khushi was aware of his sexy smirk, which he flashed at her every now and then while he chewed his sandwich with extra cheese.

He wiped his face onto his handkerchief and settled on the small couch of her room, smiling at her. She cleaned the table and watched his face closely as he sat cross legged in front of her holding the packet in his hands.

"This is for you"

He said huskily extending the packet towards her. She took it with trembling hands as she watched the naughtiness on his face and that smirk.

"What is it?"

She asked narrowing her eyes at him as she carefully unveiled the beautiful paper.

"Open it, you will find out"

Khushi removed the paper and found a box. She opened the same and her eyes lit up instantly.

It was a beautiful salwar kameez in blue color, she looked at him who was smiling at her and then she threw herself in his arms.

"Thank You So Much...Arnav... its beautiful...I love it.."

She said hugging him close while he touched her shoulders with trembling hands.

"Erm.. Khushi...since you have loved it, why don't you change into the same.. I want to see you in it.."

He whispered into her ears, she got off his lap feeling embarrassed at her sudden burst of feelings towards him.

"I'll be right back"

She said hesitantly moving towards the washroom while Arnav winked at her.

Arnav looked at the closed door of the washroom every now and then. Its been more than 15 minutes since she had entered the room and still no sign of her opening the door.

He was getting impatient as he paced around the room. The click of the door got his attention, he turned towards the door, and his eyes almost rounded at the vision in front of him.

Khushi was looking gorgeous in that new dress of hers. She had left her hair open much to his amusement and the dress fitted her perfectly. He could not take his eyes off her as she walked towards him hesitantly with calculated steps.

"How do I look?"

She asked twirling around as her eyes smiled with happiness.

"Gorgeous"

He said tracing the softness of her cheeks and she felt her breath caught in her throat.

"But how did you find out my size, when I myself don't remember the same..?"

She asked nervously and he chuckled at her question.

"What?! I am serious.. Arnav"

She said irritated turning around.

"God..Khushi..Just don't be silly.. I'll just tell you..okay"

Arnav said scratching his head as if having difficulty forming words.

Arnav walked through the one n only nearby mall next to the hospital. He went through the female section while the sales girls smiled at him, recognizing him.

He stood at the salwar kameez section biting his nails hesitantly.

"May I help you, Sir?"

The girl asked flashing a smile at him and he returned the smile looking at the display behind her.

"I want a salwar kameez in erm.. blue color"

He said smiling at the girl and the next question from her almost startled him, because he was not expecting something like that.

"Sir, what's the size?"

She asked again and Arnav stood the ground looking everywhere except her face.

"Is that necessary? Err.. I don't know here size...you can just pack the one which is displayed there.. I think it will do"

The girl smiled at him, removed the displayed blue churidar and packed it for him.

"Err.. can you please pack the inner wears too?"

He said avoiding her eyes while she giggled at his nervousness.

"Sure sir,"

"Thank you so much"

Flashback ends

Khushi met his gaze as a small smile touched her lips and then looked away instantly.

"Err.. It fits perfectly.."

She said shyly turning towards the window while he reached her sides without wasting any time.

"I know.. guess I have a keen eye.. especially for YOU"

He stretched on the word YOU and her heart skipped a beat. Her chest heaved while he turned her around, watching her flushed face closely.

"You wont leave me, ever.. right? I won't be able to bear the pain if you do.."

She let out her deepest of fears in front of him and he cupped her face with trembling hands.

"I wont.. Ever.. I can't even think of leaving you.. EVER.. You are too precious to me.. Khushi..."

He whispered onto her lips and she closed her eyes as tears made its way wetting her cheeks.

He leaned closer his lips almost brushing on her trembling ones and then his phone rang, slicing the silence between the two.

"Hello... Yes, its Arnav. Okay, I am coming.. thanks..."

He looked tensed when he finished the call and slid the phone into his pocket. Khushi watched his face losing the color instantly as he bid bye to her before leaving out of the room in a hurry.

Arnav looked at the man who claimed to be Khushi's fianc. He had to interact with the man because he was Khushi's local guardian, after her discharging from the hospital no one was ready to take her guardianship other than sending her to the woman's welfare association of Simla.

Arnav did not think twice, agreed to take her with him, and took a small house for rent near to his hostel. Khushi was almost in tears when she walked along with him, holding his hands possessively as he led her out of the hospital avoiding the surprised look of his colleagues and the numerous gasps from the staffs that walked past them.

Arnav cleared his throat and the man looked at him standing up immediately. Arnav smiled at him hesitantly while they shook their hands.

"Hello... I am Abhishek Kapoor..."

The man introduced himself and Arnav gestured him to take a seat. They sat in silence while he prepared himself to talk to Arnav.

"Would you please call her, I mean Khushi?"

Abhishek said hesitantly and Arnav's heart picked up its beat. He had never thought he would be facing this day, however his friends had already warned him about the danger when someone comes claiming Khushi as his and Arnav had to let go of her because she does not belong here. She had a life somewhere far from here and might have someone waiting for her.

"How do you know her?"

Arnav asked looking straight into the man's eyes while he smiled back at him.

"I met her at the college, she was my junior and we started to get along well. Then I found out that she is an orphan and had her admission through the scholarships. She was a bright student. When I passed out from college I proposed her and she agreed to marry me that day.. it was the most beautiful day of my life.."

He stopped looking out of the window, Arnav felt his hands sweating at the vast description of the man about Khushi, and the love for her in his eyes scared him like anything.

"She was here for a project work along with other students, and then the worst happened. No one is been rescued except Khushi. Everyone at the orphanage had thought that Khushi too is dead, until we got the information from this hospital.."

"She's at the home next to my hostel.. I had taken her guardianship when she had been discharged from the hospital.."

Arnav said gesturing him towards the door as Abhishek accompanied him outside.

"Its so kind of you to take care of her while other's backed off.."

Abhishek said thoughtfully, for which Arnav just shrugged his shoulders.

Arnav's heart was a mess when they reached the home. He wanted to share all those things with Khushi that Abhishek said to him few minutes back. But, something stopped him from doing so as he saw her rushing towards the door with a cute smile on her face.

The blue color added light to her face as she looked at the man beside Arnav hesitantly.

"Arnav.. I was so worried.. why did you left just like that?"

She said hugging him sideways and Abhishek looked at her curiously not really understanding the ways of her with Arnav and her ignoring him.

"Khushi, come inside I need to talk to you"

Arnav said pulling her inside while Abhishek looked at them sadly. His legs felt weak and he sat on the chair.

"Abhishek.. Please excuse us for a minute"

Arnav said before leaving inside the room.

Abhishek clutched onto the photograph of him and Khushi that they had clicked on his graduation day. She had this cutest of smile on her face and he had his hands over her shoulders holding her close to his form.

His hands traced her face and he put the same into his wallet when he heard muffled voices from inside.

"What is it Arnav? And who is that man?"

Khushi asked as Arnav pushed her towards the nearby wall, breathing heavily.

"He's just a friend.. Khushi.. just a friend... nothing else.."

He whispered as he crushed her into his embrace. She could not understand anything as she hugged him back. She had watched his face closely when he said that, he was quite relieved and at ease.

The next moment he was dropping kisses all over her face. He was selfish his heart screamed but he could not let her go, he loved her more than anything else and when she does not remember the man who was waiting for her outside who was he to make her remember the same! He felt himself flying high as he found out that Khushi does not even remember Abhishek Kapoor.

"If your love is strong enough, she will never ever leave you..."

Those words of the mad man who sat in front of idol of Mother Mary echoed in his ears as he finally touched her lips with his. She clutched onto his shirt breathing heavily as his lips moved on hers urgently. Conveying everything to her, making her aware of his need for her, how much he loved, how incomplete he was without her.

Abhishek stood at the door and looked at the duo who were lost in their own world. He backed away before they could see him and got out of the house wiping the tears away.

Khushi had lost her memory; she does not remember anything about her past life. Not even her name.

He looked at the idol of Mother Mary who clutched baby Jesus in her hands. He felt his eyes pricking with fresh tears as he tore the photograph into many pieces.

"If your love is strong enough, she will remember you for sure.."

He looked up at the old man who sat in front of the idol who had said those words to him, as he walked past him after giving him an hundred rupee note.

"May be my love was not strong enough...!!"

He sighed.. He was happy for Khushi, she had found her true love in the form of Arnav.. Who had thought that his life would take such drastic turn and he will meet Khushi in such a setting where she does not even remembered her name...!!

No man would have shown such care for a complete stranger like Khushi. He was truly a gentleman and he had thought that Khushi always deserved a gentleman.

Arnav looked through the window as Abhishek turned around and their eyes met across the way. He waved his hands at him, wishing him all the best for their future and Arnav waved his hands back.

Khushi looked at the man and smiled at him waving her hands as she hugged Arnav sideways.

"I LOVE YOU..."

"YOU DON'T HAVE TO SAY IT.. KHUSHI..."

He said capturing her lips while he murmured those three letter words as she desperately clung to him.
