I haven't read 'To be...' so I'm starting this on a clean slate.

And I loved it.

Whether Khushi turns out to be the killer or not is irrelevant for me, 'coz the way you've depicted her thoughts (whatever little has been said or thought by her till now) has me hooked to this one, not to mention the chills that this one gives.

Waiting to be thrilled...

I understand psychos don't become psychos when they turn into adults; the seeds of their psychotic behavior are sown in their childhood. But reading that she killed the pet and lay its intestines open does have its 'shudder' factor.

How many more killings are lined up before she moves on to Lavanya?

P.S. The laying out on cardboard thing did remind me of biology practicals...

I've heard of and seen hero worship before but Khushi's obsession with Lavanya is way tok abnormal.
Psychos are made by the circumstances and the things which happen around them.
I've read that the most unpleasant incidents in their lives leave a negative impact on them and that is how their thoughts and behavior changes.
But it is astonishing that at such a young age Khushi brutally killed her pet.
There must be some really strong reason behind all her Lavanya this and Lavanya that.
