I don't know which to choose:

In my POV I think that he did not take a mistake as the character was awesome and he really deserved the role, but Cv's did a mistake by keeping him as a show piece throughout the show. He deserved more than that!

IPK is the best thing that could have happened to any of the cast and crew - they all got recognition or that light bulb moment of how they should move forward.

For me - I did not even know Akshay Dogra existed before IPK - just goes to show

Probably not a mistake as it gave him more exposure despite having hardly any role than some actors get even when they are the leads. I watched some of the last show he was in (something to do with Karol Bagh)but honestly for the life of me I can't remember him...I rememember the character existed (the husband of one of the daughters and he came in towards the end of the serial but I don't remember Akshay...after IPK I won't forget him.

Just heard the Team Sarun interview and OMG this guy is awesome. What he said about NK's role is what I had felt too. NK was a great character but I too had thought that Akash would be Khushi's friend and I remember in the remarriage when NK was taking care of Naniji and Mammiji thinking that should have been Akaash. Can understand his frustration about his non role but IPK definitely gave him the kind of love and recognition which the same character in another show would never have gotten.
