Hi all,
Episode 56=========An episode filled with hopes for a better future, excitement of embarking on something new and fear of the unknown for the Gupta house ladies. Having accepted a tough business deal, the young ladies are all "get, set and ready to go'. While all this is going on the naag is hissing near them and buaji is hell bent on petting it !!While hard work is full on in Gupta house, it is time to party hard at Raizadas. It is the wedding anniversary of the beloved daughter and adored damadji of the house. As usual the most responsible son of the house Arnav is on his toes organising the jashan.While everyone is happy about the jashan, looking forward to celebrate and wish the couple for a long happy wedded life, damaadji has other things in his mind. Alas he has found the kheer in the Gupta house sweeter. Though he is living a fake life of a responsible wise damaadji and a caring loving husband for the wife, his mind craves shamlessly for the "woh ladki'.Unaware that the sweets are for Raizada's party, khushi and payal finish their assignment. Happy to deliver but get the shock when they learn of their actual client. Arnav too unaware of this is looking forward to the lucknowy sweets specially ordered for his di and jijaji.

they met. and the sparks flew. thus began an all new love story. no question, it was impossible to give it any name. shades were taken off with flair, off centre plait swung in style. eyes threw fire, lips slashed, hips swayed menacingly. neither could leave the other well alone. from the very moment they met.
Loved the way you described the tu tu mai mai between mami and Bua also going to the depth of their characters for behaving in such fashion
but the real game was starting elsewhere. consumer companies often speak of putting the thing they want people to go out and grab, "within arms reach of desire." well, anjali in red rose scattered saree reminding me of her mother, had come to do precisely that: put khushi within striking distance of asr. of course, she had no idea that that's what she was doing, all she wanted to do was make sure that somehow lavanya became acceptable to nani and so could continue to live in shantivan with chhotey. for if nani threw la out, chhotey would leave home too. interesting, how all sorts of things were coming into play, only to make sure khushi would reach the right place. you could say dm had planned it so. or the storyteller got it really right this time; and threw in just enough hints to suggest the hand of something from outside and above in this intricate game.
Wow what a way to describe the scene the way you relate marketing to many of the scenes here and the other day lemon advt. Anjali here a messenger of DM to bring the Rakshas and Gold digger together. Already commented on this these are some more thoughts

nowadays in india i constantly hear about lakhs and lakhs of rupees as though this has become an easy sum to all, our "scams" feel embarrassed to be worth anything less than at the very least a couple of thousand crores. a lakh being equal to 100,000 or a hundred thousand, and a crore, one hundred times that, 10 million to be precise
Indi lakhs have disappeared and now all scams are crores but lakh is a very big amount for Khushi like you posted who had to eat only puris or sweets for breakfast lunch dinner as there were no provisions in the house and had to pawn bangles to buy provisions for making sweets at RM party.
but the truth of the matter is, india is still full of families like khushi's where a lakh means much, sometimes means impossible. almost. so when a man you barely know but feel well disposed toward says, let me get it for you, takes a lot to say "no." your aunt is teary eyed with relief and urges you to grab the offer, for "ek taraf kuan hai, doosri taraf sakshat nandkissore." it's a deep well on one side and the lord himself on the other, according to buaji. somehow shyam even with his sweetest face on is the last one to evoke the thought of the eternal. but buaji was blinded by love. all she could see was a bridegroom for her little titaliya, nothing else. old eyes do get tricked sometimes, and what are these compared to nani's? even they couldn't spot the truth of this dark one. shyam, minus all connotations, just means black. nothing else
Bua is always after that stupid Shyam shows what a smooth operater he is making all in GF and RF in his grip grrr and ASR who heart is gold but talks all rude and uncaring antagonizing all despite doing good to all including saving Khushi who will realise this slowly.
Like the way you described how the horrid Shyam made Khushi touch him, the kind hearted that she is, from falling
but today, the character that intrigued me most was khushi herself. we keep talking about her and asr being completely different from each other in every way. he dark, material oriented, believing money is power, atheist, arrogant, hard, unyielding. she light, emotionally intelligent, believing only in the hand of devi maiya, never money, charming, polite, malleable, gentle. even the show makers speak of opposites attracting, etc.
however, for some time now, i've felt, yes, they had a lot that was different, but perhaps what called out from within them to each other was the instinctive recognition of what was essentially alike in them. two kids terribly hurt inside. both managing in their own way. but a quiet, hidden, hurting place within. oh khushi had hers too, despite her smile, in fact that smile was put there perhaps by that hurt. also the sunny nature, the creation of stars that are parents and more. they were really at a basic level voyagers of the same universe, they had seen and felt the same places, even if not together. they knew of a pain not many have known so they can't feel. their love of family and people they loved was born there and had the same kind of intensity. both had their insecurities and and both were in their own way akhdoo. khushi showed her worst side of it on his birthday and the best every time she held on for a good cause. he of course, behaved like he had a copyright on that trait.
and today i noticed something else about them that was exactly alike. not just asr...
khushi is a deal maker too.
Your way of analyzing went straight to my heart both of them complimenting and supplementing each other's qualities together they will make a formidable pair the picture what a expression in b&W very catchy.
helmet and sneakers on, to talk it over with her to be bro-in-law. try and save the shop and her sister's future. that is not what sweet 18 year old girls do on the day of their elder sis's wedding, they busy themselves giggling, chatting, prettying themselves up. and however foolhardy it may seem, it says you don't want to be resigned to your fate, you want to talk, you want to make a deal. and you know that means, compromise, tempering expectations, stuff, but because you desire to see something done you are prepared to accept a few "adjustments."
just like asr, when life presented a lemon, she taught herself to make lemonade, sorry nimbu paani with lots of sugar for a sweet tongue and some chat masala for that extra zest.
"if you can fill the unforgiving minute
with sixty seconds worh of distance run"
Each para a new thought comparing to the 1st scene absolutely superb.
she fears, she rages, then she chats with dm. her poolside is this little image of a goddess always within arms reach, it seems to me. what poolside often gives asr, dm gives khushi:👏👏 a sense of connection with their inner self.
Underlined again a superb comparision. Maybe the plants and water cools him😆
so what he thinks matters. she is all set it seems to just say, no. then she hears her mother's voice, speaking of the terrible financial difficulties at home. and she comes to her poolside.
next morning, when the bell rings at rm, it is no surprise. the deal maker is here. the tears and anxiety gone from her face. instead a resolution.
and a shart. a clause. this deal is going to have some advantage for her too. not everything his way. or anybody's. she speaks of "majboori" but she never lets her majboori break her spirit. a deal with that too. in fact, with dm also she jests often, get this done for me and i'll give you tonnes of prasad you like. i know these may not seem like real deals, but they are... an ongoing negotiation with life to keep pushing it the way you want it to go, while it pushes you to do what it wants. i love this attitude of ipk. there's a realism and a positivity and an active feel to it.
Making the best of the worst finding her way to sunshine through darkness.
and so when khushi enters, and anjali explains, that she's here to train la, as nani won't let her or mami get involved, anjali thinks she's sweetly tricked nani. nani of course smiles and readily agrees to the idea. why that gracious and almost irrepressible smile on nani's face though, i wonder. in episode 63, the reason becomes clear
All busy in making their own ways(sweet plans) including ASR and all ways lead to ASR and his happiness marriage finally who will succeed
la, on hearing chamkili will teach her things, does the either or thing and says, she'll leave. nani is delighted, "hum janat rahe khushi ke kadam padte hi shubh kaam hoga," i knew the moment khushi stepped in good things would happen.
anjali panicked.
then the resolute one took over. "anjali ji, hum sambhalenge." anjali ji, i'll manage this. and she does. classic manoeuvre, the win win "phormoola." there's something in it for you, la, and something for me. shall we?
Yes Khushi we will see how many people you will sambhaloge in RM
kunti, sita. did anjali kind of look at khushi as she corrected mami and said, "sita" not kunti? is this a hint of a trial by fire, an agni pariksha being dropped? i prefer to think it's about the extraordinary strength of sita who took a lot, but finally said "enough." in bengali, her call to mother earth to take her back after she'd been doubted by ram the "n"th time, "dharani deedha hao," earth, cleave open!... still gives me goose bumps.
wrote two days ago when i reserved this spot, every word still true (and thanks to katelyn, now that i know what's on tonight, my heart is in complete dhak dhak state, acidity keen. main badtameez hoon poori duniya ke liye, lekin aap ke liye nahin or words to that effect, and how did he look exactly. tell you, the man was born to render my gender completely ineffective and permanently acidity struck.)
Again excellent analysis and the Sita maiyya thought when I heard Khushi saying Ram teri Ganga maili why La is Ganga so she will be Sita to her Ram. Did the writers give the clue or are we overanalyzing the fav show.

Episode 64
It Hurts
Who is this man? This is the man we are all in love with? The one who is screaming at our beloved Kushi? He is like a fiery dragon, a demon and a raving lunatic wrapped up in one handsome guy. He is confusing us. -he's confusing khushi too😆! On one hand he has this undeniable attraction to this middle class girl and then on the other, he hates her for he feels she is only in for the money, a gold digger, but there is also something about her that stirs his heart and soul and he doesn't like it, it hurts. How wrong can you be, ASR, for a graduate of one of the most prestigious university in the USA you are behaving like an idiot!🤣
He doesn't want to see her face. First she quits, then she brings sweets to the party, she has tried all sorts of excuses just to be here. And what did you do Di, you called her here yourself. Maybe her words and her innocent face have won your heart but not mine! Why do you have to say that outloud Chote? Noone asked you. Does it hurt to admit your true feelings for this girl? You are masking them really well in this episode Expert at masking, though a few time he gave himeself away like when she was leaving but noone would believ what's happening in that head of his LOL ! I have seen the real her, she is a girl who will do anything for money. Kushi Kumari Gupta, no matter how hard you try, I will not let you achieve your goal; you will not make a place in this house for yourself. It's enough, enough! Shyam peeks in through the front door shocked to see Kushi. She has been badly hurt by those piercing words, daggers straight through the heart. Anjali wants him to listen to her but he won't.He won't even listen to his Nani. He won't waste a moment of his time to this girl who insulted him and turns her back on him when he is speaking to her. He is hurt, but won't admit it. Out of here! GET OUT! She won't be able to hurt you any longer, is that it ASR? Out of sight, out of mind?
Anjali is hurt and besides herself, he has thrown Kushiji out of the house. She left crying, missing a hiding Shyam as she went out the door. Anjali scolds him, so much anger he has, and he has Kushi all wrong. She says to him you threw her out of the house now you bring her back! He says he doesn't want her in HIS house. "IT'S MY HOUSE!" Anjali falters back; he tries to reach out for her she stops him, "you're right this IS your home, sorry Chote." Tears rolling down her cheeks, she leaves as he is kicking himself for having an unleashed mouth. She falls down he runs over. He is upset at himself for making his sister cry. She doesn't let him help her. She gets up, goes to her room and Arnav is watching her go with a devastating look on his face. What did he do? He hurt his Di. Kushi Kumari Gupta this is all your fault look what you made me do! Anjali locks herself in her room as Arnav is frantically pounding on the door for her to open it. Nani scolds him why did he have to insult Kushi this way, all Anjali wanted was for her to teach Lavanya manners and traditions. Anjali always thinks about you and what do you do for her? She reminds him that tomorrow is Rakshan Badhan and asks if he will behave stubbornly on that day too. He should show more respect to his sister instead of hurting her. He turns around abrubtly leaving with a determined stride; he has a mission it seems.
Shyam comes asks where his jiju went and about Anjali. She seemed worried on the phone. They want to know what took him so long since he said he would be there in two minutes. He gives some excuse about his injured leg and changes the subject, "tell me what happened here." Nani tells him what happened. Shyam says Anjali was wrong to bring Kushi there since Arnav doesn't like her. -oh if he onlly knew😆 Nani disagrees; it isn't Anjali's fault but Chote's fault. Shyam says regardless of whose fault it is the atmosphere of the house is very tense. This girl has caused misunderstandings between brother and sister. He can not bear to see his wife suffer. He knocks on the door asking her to open the door. No response. Nani says we should leave her alone tonight and maybe tomorrow will be better. Mami agrees with Nani and suggests to him to go sleep in the guest room.
Kushi is hurt and so upset she is forcefully removing her jewelry and throws down her dupatta; I know you are angry at him but just because your dupatta favors that Lord Govenor don't take it out on her! She tells Payal that not only has he insulted her he also misbehaved with his sister! She said Anjali must have felt so stupid. That LG is very bad! She thinks she should not have accepted the job but then thought of her father and accepted the position. But now'Payal says it is not too late to return to Lucknow. They can try there. Buaji calls the girls their mother's on the phone.
It is pouring rain and the demon is in his safe haven, his psychiatrist's couch, his car.--WOO HOO! its baack, love this psychiatrist couch 👏 He is angry he sees a flashback of his sister's tears and her falling. It is all her fault, that girl, everything happens because of her. His car screeches to a halt.
Amma is on the phone and she is crying everything is bad. The girls' father is not well because of debt of the store; he is hurt and completely destroyed. The stress is making him weak and sick. Kushi grabs the phone and tell their mother all will be well. DM is testing but we will not give up! Amma says that words of comfort will not solve anything. Kushi reiterates that all will be well. Just take care of papaji. Buaji turns away and hides her tears from the girls as the two embrace. Kushi tells Payal to be strong. We must find a way to retrieve the store.
Door bell rings.
Kushi opens the door and standing there is the fiery dragon, the demon, Lord Govenor, the raving lunatic has come Buaji says to apologize after saying so much. He answers, "Arnav Singh Raizada doe not apologize to anyone. I just came here to call her back. Di gave you a job and I want it to be done because my sister thinks you are the only one to do it. If she thinks that then I don't argue. She doesn't understand what is important in life but I do." He walks into the house and takes a wad of cash out of his pocket and places it on the table, is that enough or do you want more?He just didn't care what anyone thought, not even the elsdery of the house, Buaji. ASR to the core Buaji goes to him and says wait a minute and he reaches in his pocket and slaps another wad of cash on top. He has doubled the amount. He is leaving and he says to Kushi he will wait until tomorrow morning and I am sure you will come. With her fist clenched Kushi looks into his eyes. Payal says Kushi will not come and we don't need your money. Payal says to Kushi tell him tomorrow we are leaving for Lucknow to be with our father. He needs us Kushi, he is sick. Kushi.. He leaves. Buaji runs after him, moron where are you going? STOP! She yells at Kushi, you always talk so much what happened to you today? Without saying anything you agreed with him. If I could I would throw all this money in his face. Kushi what's wrong you are silent what happened. In her head all she keeps hearing is her amma's voice and how bad her father's condition is. Unfortunately money talks and she is in need of money. Kushi speak!!!! Why are you silent? She looks as if in a catatonic state. - very well described!
Finally she shuts the door. She's hurt.
It hurts having to take his money.
Thanks ARSHI feeling much better. How about you, is your fever cooled down?

I don't know the picture don't get posted as I write my replies in MS word and post
Lovely pictures with the feelings in gray scale and b&w that you give with your ananlysis at the correct place just superb
Like the dark reference that you gave there is light behind a cloud so here ASR DOES NOT WANT TO SEE THE LIGHT OF HIS LOVE Khushi he is happy with the cloud the darkness in his brain
in a flash, a storm gathered, lightning streaked the sky; just one look in the eye and a jaw muscle had to move, that's all.
"tumhare paise mil gaye... baat khatam." you've got your money. end of story. the last two words spat out, rasping, cutting into the night. baat khatam. he throws the his blue tooth. end of story ... enough of this girl, but arnav singh raizada ko kissi ladki sa koi faraq nahin padta, so why does she bother him? why?
flashbacks start. on asr music. fast, furious, energy, angst, burst, heat, light. she hits him in the guesthouse, mad at him, pushing him back till he takes hold of her hands and turns her and pins her against the wall...
he saves her in the rain, both in a clinch swiveling away from the oncoming car... the car speeds...
cut to present... he slams on the breaks. jaws clench.
cut to memory... she's trying to run out of the store room, he races past her, slams the door.
back in the here and now... he gets out of car, shuts the car door with a controlled angry bang.
he's tormented, irritated, angry, "uss ladki ke baare mein sochna band karo," he admonishes his wayward mind. enough.
in a not to be messed with mood he walks into the house. a neatly wrapped gift in hand. perhaps a gift for the girl whom he can't give what she really wants. his love. anything money can buy, arnav singh raizada is able and ready to give. but that priceless feeling... alas no place for that in his life.
but who will tell the music that? and the confounded breeze?
his expression thickens to a snarl almost, he pushes her away. away from him. "usske baare mein sochna band karo." he is not giving in. what is she doing here. what? why? why is she always there. in memory, in the here and now? when all he wants to do is get rid of her from his being?
Splendid analysis.
The man protests too much why this unreasonable anger against someone or indirectly its you who you are hurting angry as some of my BFPT friends put it.
Chain nahi andar chain nahi bahar chain nahi man mein
they have found each other again and again and again in darkness. like the brightest light ever it has shone the way to love. that first time he held her, he came out of the dark on a night of cloud burst and chaos. when he called out her name the very first time, it was pitch dark in that guest house, a storm tore through the hour, and she'd looked at him with eyes that saw other planes, universes, galaxies, he'd returned the look and gone with her for an eternity to unknown lands. diwali, the darkest night of the moon, amavasya, when they felt that naked, guileless passion and lit up the night. in their darkest hour, sitting far away from each other in quiet unlit corners, they heard each other from afar and spoke from their hearts, can you hear me... tum mujhe sun sakti ho? hamesha.
This is the best part of the episode the man fighting hurting himself and hurting all his near and dear in the process Excellent and into the psyche of the character so well potrayed by Barun and Sanaya. The Rakshas and the angel. Our hearts, they know we belong, whoever you may be..These blood pumping hearts know, a mere signal will alert us of each other. The moment we meet we touch , our hands touch, a blazing fire set flame, those coals burning deep within, will rise from the very ashes to rekindle again and again

"my soul is full of longing
for the secret of the sea,
and the heart of the great ocean
sends a thrilling pulse through me."
~~~ h w longfellow ~~~
Wonderful poem for ASR
how the ocean roared today. it lashed out repeatedly, breaking its fury upon its shore. lacerating it, whipping it, punishing it for being there, for mattering, for beginning to enter its inner space, its protected inner waters. go away, get out, never ever come near again. but what's an ocean without its shore. what's a shore without its ocean.
as the ocean churned, nafrat came out first, loads of hate, fear, ugliness, terrible feelings, ones that shook up everyone all around, poisoned the whole environment with its touch. reminded me of the samudra manthan many indian kids grow up hearing of. when the demigods and demons churned the oceans and so much came out of it. lethal, horrid things at first, but finally amrita, the nectar of immortality. could that have been love?
asr is not called arnav, ocean, for nothing.
Indi this took me to the Samudra mantan of Hindu mythology ( samudra Manthan for those friends who don't know this storyhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samudra_manthan link ) where before the Amrit(nectar) comes the Vish(poison) so also its happening here the Vish has to come out before the Amrit, the nectar of (nectar of immortality )loving living together hamesha .
in a funny sort of way as asr's voice hit an all new pitch, as though he was losing control, his very insides unhinging, storm tossed, a note of hysteria in it i could have sworn, i felt his voice rise, and circle wildly in a dance itself, a dance that would wreak havoc.
"matlab? yahan kyun? di, mujhe iss ladki ki shakal bhi nahin dekhni hai... kabhi resignation dene ke liye... kabhi party mein mithai dene ke bahane... pata nahin kaun kaun se bahane karkar yahan aati rahi hai.. aur aaj aap isse yahan lekar aayin hai," voice rising, a falling apart in it. i don't want to see her face, she makes strange excuses to come to my home... you may be taken in by her, but not me...
"main isska asli chehra dekh chuka hoon." i have seen her true face
I wonder what real face ASR saw except for coming to your show there is nothing so wrong that she did except answering you back not letting you talk are the other mistakes so wrong did you get to the bottom of hr mistakes its your Dil not listening to your Dimaag where she is concerned.
yet, i am glad asr let his anger out. otherwise it would have further confused his emotions. i accept him with all his sides, the good, the nasty, the slappable. unwittingly his di said a pertinent thing, "pad gayi dil mein thandak?" has your heart been cooled? yes, a certain cool will reach his heart, once the heat is out. to create we destroy... to find nectar we first rid the oceans of poison... to feel pyaar we must be prepared to know nafrat. this love's path is through the nafrat. actually, nafrat door jaane na de... the hate also doesn't let you go away, it ties you. and at last it is out there, openly.
her tears shine at the edge of release, glistening, catching light.
"iss ghar mein tumhe apni jagah nahin banane doonga." i won't let you make a place in my home... but it is elsewhere that she makes it...
"ab bas karo"... it's enough.
he is sounding less and less in control. spiraling emotion.
he has hurt his sister, kills him more it does. again he has taken the pot and thrown, destroyed the rose to punish the thorn. two roses this time. arnav singh raizada ka nishana kabhi nahin choogta. asr never misses his mark.
di, darwaza kholo, di darwaza kholo, please. you know i didn't mean that. di enough di, please darwaza khoslo. please open the door di, i didn't mean it. naniji admonishes him. intense his gaze. so much in those dark, clean eyes.
MORE POISON SPEWING IN THE FORM OF ANGER WHICH GOES AND MAKES HIM INVOLVE HIS DI AND HURT HER He is in a hurtful mood nothing seems to placate him and now he is feeling the lows for making Khushi cry and Di accusing made it worse loved the way you decribed the whole scene with pictures. And then the Khushi scene forever positive that after every cloud there is silver lining.
her rakshas is back.. interestingly, change one letter and it becomes rakshak. demon... protector.
the one eye of horus that arshi writes of. the one eye we've seen before... the night of the rain hug, when he gets down from his car... much later, during the escape from kidnappers, right here. also her one eye during ankh micholi mahaepisode. is this all by chance? or are the director, the writer, playing with the theme of protection and protector all along? whatever it is, it gives thought.
"kaafi hai? ya aur rakh doon?" enough? or should i keep more?
one more wad.
"pehle se double hai." it's doubled now.
the insult scorches her skin, she clenches her fist but keeps quiet. "bikhar raha hai" ma had said, she will not let her family's dreams scatter.
khushi stands silent. she can only hear her ma's voice in her head. her dad is falling sick worrying about money, tears in amma's voice. tears in khushi's eyes. two wads of notes. and a bagful of insults.
"what are heavy? sea-sand and sorrow.
what are brief? today and tomorrow.
what are frail? spring blossoms and youth.
what are deep? the ocean and truth."
~~~ christina rosetti ~~~
yes shyam did enter the episode. and since i couldn't yell get ouuut!!! at him, had to tolerate him. he is perhaps the most interesting foil character i've ever scene. asr raves rants screams shouts says awful things but is surf ultra clean. shyam always speaks gentle and sweet (sorry i can only hear the hisss) yet all the detergents of unilever, p&g, nirma combined will not be able to clean this stench, this cretin, oh oh oh.
Though now both for the family what a lovely analysis comparing to the Aug 1 2012 episode at the same place I am not able to find adjectives Indi all this analysis make the episodes and scenes so much more meaningful many things which were unclear before become clearer with a meaning . All the quoted parts beautiful amazing
