Hi Guys...
When the first part of LM's interview came, the forum was rejoicing it and waiting for part 2 eagerly, but now that its out looks like the forum is again on War front.
I know IPK and ArShi are very dear to all of you...but does that really mean that we start to read what is not true? Try and interpret what is actually is NOT?
I think in weeks, or should i say months since the show went off Lalit Mohan's in Conversation with Telly Tadka on IPK and more Part1 and 2 was the sole interview that actually gave an almost real picture to what actually happened behind the scenes!!! and lets be fair about it and have the heart to accept it.
But we all have our POV and over my time here on IF reading various posts and discussions i have learned to adjust with it.
Here is what i thought the director tried to tell...This is what i gauged from his interview which i think gives the most decent and clarity filled perspective about the Show, the actors, the PH and Channel.
Sanaya Irani comes across as a hard-working, dedicated and spirited young actress. In Lalit Mohan's IV be it part 1 or 2 the amount of respect and admiration he has for a talented actress like her is glaringly evident.
Looks like the interview put a FULL STOP to all the rumors surrounding Barun Sobti's exit from IPKKND. He was honest about it since day one, had informed the authorities and officials very well in advance and in a field where everybody especially young talents aspires to grow, explore Barun wanting the same is not a CRIME. Once again he was HONEST about it and proves that he was and is indeed a genuine human being.
The PH, Since i belong to the same field and have seen how things work around, from what i read i can tell that the PH was at the mercy of the Channel. LM said that initially everything was good, he enjoyed working and then he saw a decline and i have mentioned in one of my earlier post that the ultimate call comes from the channel, because the (C) vests in them. If you look at the pattern of the show in the first few months and then on you can actually see and feel what LM was trying to say...Things were not going according to what they wanted, the story was not moving exactly the way they had thought it should and thus he left, the PH was however stuck with the Channel could be creative and monetary issues, but when they called LM back again which means that the sink in TRP's Viewership in the show could have caused the PH and channel to come to such a conclusion.
I remember reading a quote by LM on his FB page, where he quoted Niharika Vidya Sagar owner and reporter of Rangmunch after his come back on the show in July/August that things don't happen that way...which clearly means that even after LM came back things did not go as plan, all the promises made to him again got dissolved...
What i am trying to say is if you look at the bigger picture, its StarPlus who looks like the Culprit...or else how can one explain their act of using a Tag during the last days of the show which was clearly to defame Barun Sobti...
Regarding the contract again no fault of PH, i read at places and on the TT site how did the PH sign a person who was ready to work for only a year...This is what i think happened...If I am not wrong it was KSG who was to be cast in the show right? But then it did not work out...In came Barun who clicked for them. I don't know how many of you know this but until and unless the channel approves even the PH can't cast Barun...So the Channel to knew that Barun's stand and yet they went ahead...Probably because he was their best find.
Contracts in the TV Industry are SIGNED FOR 1 YEAR not for the entire show, that never happens...Here Barun signed for a Year, extended on his own willingly till Sept and then on the requests till November...So taking in to consideration what i said in the above paragrph i think you know who the Culprit really is...
The PH was not very keen to continue the show...because they knew that Barun was going to leave and things wouldn't click later on like it did with him...But the CHANNEL was always keen on continuing it, and when a channel as huge as SP is in question, i really don't think there is much of a say...
And except for Barun's Honest Exit and Sanaya's Determination another thing striking siisis how LM said he did not want to talk about what went wrong back then.....which meas something really bd happened over which LM or the PH did not have control over, LM walked away which he could but the PH couldn't because they were tied down so there was no question of ending the show because the Channel wouldn't allow it
As somebody who has been there, seen it all this is what i felt this amazing actor was trying to say...and i just felt i needed to share this with all of you...If you have any questions anything regarding the show or anything in the TV world as general, feel free to ask...
