I never bought into these conspiracy theories, or truth revelations in parts or anything of the sort. We have to remember, people here too offence to "bunch of people".
Most took offence to that statement. They could not stand to be called bunch of people and invoked consumer rights, customer is always right and other such nonsense to call everyone not named Barun Sobti, disgusting names.
No one promised anyone wholesome entertainment, years and years of good story telling, warranty of Barun and Sanaya playing ASR and Kushi for ever. No one placed a gun to the heads of the viewers asking them to get emotionally attached to the show to the point of obsession.
People may think, this level of craze for Barun makes him a super star, but I feel sad for Barun. If people have forgotten how to be civil and blames everyone other than the person who is the catalyst / starter of all of this, I am sorry, but such a celebrity with fans who are incredibly vile and disgusting towards his movie heroine, his so called replacement will eventually fall out of favors with many.
No celebrity wants their fans turning into fanatics. And that line between being a fan and being a fanatic have been crosses by those people who proclaim their undying love and come up with conspiracy theories.
Karma. It will eventually balance this equation of blind vengeance born out of self indulgence.

Sudha you know I love you right? Your post is spot on.

Inspite of continuous reliable sources saying that Barun quit due to personal reasons or to further his career, most fans still hold on to any kind of spoliers even from the most untrustworthy sources, which makes Barun look exploited.

The problem is that a few fans have built an image of Barun being an exemplary human being and they would believe anything that helps them hold on to the image.

Alas, he is a normal human being like you and me.

I mean the audio-video clips, interviews, not written stuff.

Poor Sanaya.

In retrospect perhaps this is the best that could have hapenned because honestly she deserves better. She's a star and I cannot wait to see her in bigger and better things.

When it suits people Sanaya's words are taken out of context and when it doesn't she is always true and honest esp while praising Barun.

Sanaya is a mere prop in furthering agenda.

Ouma great post. I am sickened by the conspiracy theories and the ridiculous notions that somehow Barn left as a martyr.

It is a credit to the cast members that they speak so fondly of him

I do not think Barun is bad, but extremely unskilled in PR. He could have clearly stated, " I want to pursue a childhood dream of being in Bollywood..."

Instead he said a few months ago he has not quit, had no movie..going on break.. may be back. Frankly he cheapened his relationship with his wife by using her as a human shield. Instead of saying that he has professional aspirations, he instead made it appear that family was all he cared about.

The only thing I can say about PG's is that we may ridicule them, but probably nowhere near as much as Mr. Sobti does. Looks like he always had a plan.

I do not buy into the notion of Fans not liking the product and demanding anything.

What exactly were these fans / viewers promised.

Who promised them.

Did SP promise them wholesome entertainment and if not, people can ask for refunds?

If so, they have been promising Rishatha Wahi Soch Nayi for ages now. Most of their shows by any yard stick are regressive. No one seems to be taking that as a promise and suing SP, now are they? But Barun leaving and getting replaced, all of sudden gives viewers the rights to demand it to end certain way, with certain actors because they are paying for the channel.

Did PH promise they will always have the same actors and splendid story lines and paisa vasool entertainment day after day, week after week, year after year? When did they promise this.

When I write a story on this forum and people invest their time to read and comment on it and either like it or dislike it. But just because they invested their time, does not give them authority to force me to change the story, if they happen to hate the ending.

Same with PH. Feedback can be given but how do fans have rights on what the PH can or cannot do. Same example. If you don't like my writing, you will never read what I post again. Same thing. If PH is not liked, no one forced continued acceptance of what the PH is dishing out.

When it comes to entertainment, what fans feel is a by product.

Gul or PH or SP did not ask anyone to get emotionally attached to the show to the point of obsession. They did not promise anything nor have they given any warranty that if you think it is a faulty product, you can demand answers.
