I'm not taking any sides neither was I a part of any petition or group discussion before.

The way I look at it is simple. Assuming the Ekta rumour is true, Barun was approached for the film n negotiations between them began. He probably thought that he should quit cuz may be this role is big n he will not be able to juggle IPK n the shoot like he could with MAMR. So he put down the papers. I don't even rule out the possibility that more than one film was offered to him. So he thought he should quit n he did. Maybe he didn't talk about it cuz the whole thing was still in the negotiation phase, it's my guess I'm not sure. In any case, unless things are on paper, no actor reveals his intentions of joining a new show or movie. So yes, he did not speak n we still don't know cuz he still hasn't said a word! All he did was quit with absolutely no idea how insanely scandalous the whole thing would turn out to be. This is what I think about Barun. I'm glad if be is getting some great offers to make it big cuz lets face it, we know the guy has it all to make it big too.

Unfortunately, in IPK land, shit hit the fan througout! What we now see is ugly. Suddenly everyone is out of job. Everyone is shocked for the abrupt end and no one knows what exactly happened. Did fans overdo it? Dunno! did SP really bow down to mass hysteria? Dunno. Or were they waiting for SPL after which they would pull the plug off anyway ? Were they looking for a reason to do that? Was there some sort of tension between Gul n SP?? Dunno!!! Unfortunately we will never know! And all this is pretty common in the show business. People wanna make money, no one gives two hoots about emotions or anything close to it.

What we see is a classic example of how the big players played and pulled the plug on a then beautiful- now below average show. The TRP bullshit also had a lotto do on it I think, that's the excuse they will alway use to shutdown shows which are not generating money.

Frankly after all this, if u see Sarun back in a 4Lions SP show, I won't be surprised, it's all about the money.

We all need to learn from this. Not to get too involved in this dirty game of the show industry. Just watch what we like n get back to our real lives. This shit will continue, forever. No point getting our hands dirty in it.

In the end, everyone won, except for emotionally charged fans n a few poor guys..who will hopefully get new jobs soon. I hope n pray they get something soon.

some people here have seen things in Barun's eyes which even his family wouldnt have seen..

this entire drama has led to the closure of the show and that is unpardonable.

Star Plus Belongs to STAR (Satellite Television Asian Region) and this company is owned by News Corporation which belongs to Rupert Murdoch who owns it 100 %. Murdoch group News Corporation not so long ago shut the biggest Newspaper they ran in the UK because a fraction of the public demanded it. YES they did especially when it had everything to do with a Rupert Murdoch company as to him customer is KING. To him if his right offends him he will cut it off. That is why he owns Media houses all over the world.

I didn't realize STAR belonged to the News Corp conglomerate.

I watched the news when News of the World was forced to close due to public demand. The employees were heartbroken and crying since it was so abrupt and unexpected. The management gathered everyone in the office and told them the paper was being discontinued.

I feel like the cast and crew of IPK may have possibly faced the same experience, and it's heartbreaking and horrible to think about.

It's consumerism gone mad. Yes, we exist in a free market economy and things will go wrong. But when people intentionally want to manipulate the outcome of something, as opposed to it happening organically, the consequences aren't felt in the pocket but in the heart.
