Dear All,

I came out of retirement from thIs forum to make this final post.

I know we all love Arnav and Khushi but we do not know Barun and Sanaya. That is an undisputable fact. We credit them as being excellent actors and we voted for them at both a local and international level as actors! When we see them in the press and other forums where they are in fact Barun and Sanaya they are still actors to their public and we cannot make assumptions that they "nice, honest, good, decent" etc. They maybe all the things and more but only their immediate family can attest to such statements!

That said this nonsense is a result of SP, 4 Lions, the cast and crew. To say that we are expected to worry about the jobs of the remaining cast is just plain irresponsible and insulting to viewers! Why is this not directed to the actors, the directors, the script writers and other producers who have left or are leaving? Why expect the viewers who are responsible for you having a job in the first place to be concerned about job losses? We pay our money to watch these shows or buy products from sponsors of the show thus we are in fact shareholders with the biggest investment into the production! All we ask for is decent entertainment and in this case for the show to deliver what we paid for all these months! The accountability for jobs and job losses in this case is that of the PH not the viewers! None of us have the time and money to waste of substandard shows or entertainment! In fact we could demand a refund!

This show is about Arhi! Arhi is Barun and Sanaya for most of the viewers! So if this equation is no longer feasible there are two choices:

End the show. My choice because the PH has gone on record as saying the show has "run it's course" and it is evident that it has because the acting, directing, scripting and overall production is pathetic and a disgrace to the former standards. SP should be ashamed to carry this show in its current state!
Continue the show however the powers that be see fit and rate it by the TRPs as per the norm. Viewers who are not interested can show their support or lack off by signing on or off when they choose!

As a viewer who have spent my money, time and energy to help make this show what it is today, I do not need to do much more than express my dismay, which I did to SP and 4Lions, and if I am shown the level of disrespect that I have been shown over the last few weeks, then I must do the smart thing and use my fingers to write to my cable TV provider, SP, the Sponsers to cancel my subscription to all involved and effectively impact their revenue one client at a time. Or I simple change Channels whenever the show comes on! That's my right and the revenue impact is the same!

So my friends, please do not allow anyone to treat you like " a bunch of people" or just provide you with false info or promises, just protest the smart way and tune out! That could also include the forum and then we will see how many awards or ratings these fine folks will achieve! We all have names, we all care in our own ways, to insult one of us is to insult all of us! Enough is enough! Please use the power that you have to either tune out or if you decide to stay then accept that Arhi as we know them is over!

I wish the actors and the crew all the best, they gave me some wonderful episodes alongside the grief and I would be remiss if I did not thank them!

I thank the moderators of the forum, your job is never easy but these last few weeks are impossible to manage because like the show the content is very weak and as such our use of such content is also limited on what we can inject in our topics! Thank you for your patience and understanding!

And, to all the forum members, I may not be in tuned with your language and culture but you have accepted me as a westerner and I thank you all for the enjoyment I got in reading your posts! I laughed so hard at some of them! I was, am still, blown away by the talent of the writers of the FF and other stories! I treasure the VMs because they will always take me back to one of the best love stories that I had the honour of watching and most of all for the friends and family I made, all of whom I will treasure for a lifetime!

Thank you everyone and please do the right thing and direct your passion accordingly and the smart way! Always respect yourself and never allow anyone to disrespect you and take it lying down! Stand up and be counted and bring change into this industry! Jai hind!

Maya you said it all. I truly believe that we the Paying Fans have been told. Ms Sanaya Irani needs to get some PR work done ASAP, to feel that her sermon to Quote " You Bunch Of People" are not thinking about the 200 plus jobs that will be lost, not appreciating the hard work put out by a Team, truly Ms Irani is not our responsibility, you should be directing your anger to the PH you are defending. We are the consumer, the paying public and when people pay for a product, a service, we are entitled to have an opinion, for most of the Fans we have voiced our concerns in a respectful manner but we do not need you to hold us responsible for this Serial closing shop, your PH has turned to us on this Forum for ideas as to where to take this Serial, are you even aware of this? I am truly appalled at the insults from the Actors, PH, SP and total disrespect for its paying audience.

So yes Maya, in order to make my vote count, I will say that whether Barun stays or not, whether Sanaya is comfortable with her OTT style of acting and continuing with these deplorable conditionsis totally their choice, I will not insult my intelligence anymore by being part of this circus, today it is he said tomorrow it is they said and this game is just that, one big game, they sold us a product based on a concept which we all became addicted and passionate with, thank you to the entire Team for the brilliance in which you executed your role, since we are offered a sub-standard concept at this time I will make my one vote count by saying, I respectfully will be tuning out but before I do so I will take the time to thank the wonderful Family on this Forum who should be commended for their dedication in the support given to the Actors, they may not be grateful but you deserve to take a bow to know that every time you voted for them, everytime you cheered for them, everytime you fought for them, they benefitted from it, your voices are heard, do not stop making your voice heard, people may disagree with your opinion but do not let them silence you because they disagree, if you let them, then you will become their puppet. To those who disagree with my response I thank you to because you have that right to do so, all I ask is to give respect when it is given as well.

Sammi, as I said to you this forum deserves to be applauded for the loyalty, love and passion they showed to this show! We all love the cast more so Barun and Sanaya but would we be good parents if we just support them when they make mistakes?

Neither needs to say anything to us right now. All responses must come from SP and or 4Lions! Anything else is not worth listening too because only the Channel and PH have to authority to provide us with a final answer!

Nice post. We were throughout the show when crappy OTT, senseless tracks were shown. Anyways I will leave this show once ASR exits.

Morning I made a post without hearing the interview. Now your post made perfect sense.

Can you imagine, they are making US responsible for the livelihood of the 200+ people!!!

What about their own duty towards their employees???

If the show was doing so great, why would the fans demand for the show to be shut down???

I think SI and everyone involved has been very patronising to the audience! The paying customers! How come we are being held accountable when all we the audience did was ask for a fitting end to the show rather than watch the butchering of the story we set out to watch?

Now we are responsible for the livelihoods of the cast and crew? Not the PH and SP who's employees they are? If the product was performing to the same level as before would the audience ever ask for a fitting end?? NO!!

I rest my case! Very disappointed with the attitude shown to the loyal audience of this show who are mostly responsible for the cult status it has achieved! This whole fiasco has left a very bitter taste in my mouth! I am sure others share the same sentiments!

Thanks Maya Di for voicing it out for viewers here.What does a viewer want from them ? Just to keep our memory intact,there were many ways to handle barun's leaving. But the way it has been handled is really disappointing for me as viewer. If that is his personal choice ,you would have made it clear long back not keep every audience here guessing. I am for past 1 week worried for an actor thinking he might have been forced by production house and co-actor here must be feeling helpless in this scenario. So many people who dont know them stood out for them ,called SP relentlessly for so many days -many just in worry that an innocent humble person is taking all blame and real culprit is walking off unharmed. But what we get in return, you bunch of people dont care about jobs of 200 ppl. Is this respect of the viewers they have who are fighting so hard for them. It was just another TV show for them ,they will be moving on but here viewer looks like dumb who thought they will fight for justice of a story when everyone else attached in creating it doesnt feel the same way.

I am still ardent Barun Sobti fan because he has entertained me well for past 1 and half year so I wish him all the best in his future work.

They think the audience is obliged to watch their show because they 'work hard'.

But what they don't realize is so do the dozen other shows in the same time slot.

Bottom line To gul khan/barun sobti/sanaya irani/4lions I don't HAVE to do anything.

In fact the last few weeks I've watched this show, and that I think was a big enough favour for them.

His post echoed my sentiments perfectly. Initially inwas taken with what Miss Irani said but then in retrospect it definitely seems patronising.

If they are so worried about the lives of the '200 people on set', they would have given us good episodes and a reason to turn on our Telly. Nohing in the past few weeks has even slightly indicated that 4lions wants to continue with this show.

When no one on set comes off as interested why should the fanbase pledge loyalty?

I love your post(s), but it's sad this will be your last. We can all hope maybe after the longish break we can still have our Arnav and Khushi? Hope springs eternal after all.

But untill then it's time to draw the curtains and take a bow.
