There is more than what meets the eye...so let's see what happens.
Agreed ending with Sarun is a much awaited option that even the channel is weighing.
Will KEEO u posted...have been fighting for this for days now...not that I give up but yeah there are diffrenec stories to diffrenec sides. So u never KNIW where the tide would end.
Nishi- thanks -- we are all wondering if there will be a happy solution to this problem
I certainly agree that there is more here that is not known...but that is precisely the problem...if things had been handled better with enough time and information given to the viewers, we would not be crying foul... even when the news first leaked out in September, everyone hushed it up saying no, not true - now out of the blue, an SBS/SBB segment was thrown at us, where they said Barun's last date of shooting was 23rd November... thats where this whole issue blew up... then over the weekend, several different stories - started with one story before the weekend and by the beginning of this week, everythinh had changed -
As an audience, we feel cheated, especially given the calibre of the show this used to be - DEFINITELY, there is an emotional connect with Barun as Arnav and Sanaya as Khushi - we cannot imagine anyone else in these roles... thats why everyone wants the orginal jodi intact - if not possible to continue, please end it happily with them both.
And just saw some article with IPKKND TRP as 1.88 - not sure how accurate it is --- but it does show that people (not just international or internet audience) are not liking the way, the story is going... isn't that message enough?
Yesterday's episode was like a slap in the face - and to be honest, I felt betrayed that in the midst of so much turmoil, the makers have the audacity to show such crap! Does it not mean, that we as an audience matter very little to them? And if you say, tracks have to be approved by the channel, how in the world did the Channel approve this? And if I felt so bad, I cannot begin to imagine how the actors who have dedicated hours to their roles, must have felt!! Do you honestly think, that subscribers are going to feel any loyalty to SP after this. I live in Singapore and let me tell you, my Star Plus subscription is not cheap!! Its one of the most expensive channels to subscribe too! And I do not watch anything else...as I explained in my email to Ms. Ghai (dunno if she even bothered to read it) we are consumers, and the channel is delivering a product at a price - a transaction is involved - what recourse do I have if I do not get satisfaction from the product?
After so many weeks of feedback that viewers are not happy with whats been happening, no one seems to have woken up - once in a blue moon, we get an episode that has some meaning and evokes the old memories, but otherwise, the audience is being thrown scraps like one would feed a stray dog! Sorry - but thats exactly what has been happening!
I am definitely angry but mostly at the way we have been taken for a ride and yes, I do blame the PH for this fiasco - they are the most unprofessional bunch I have seen - watch the Geet forum n even after so long, there is so much bitterness there too! And even with IPKKND - most of the actors quit or had to leave- in 1 year - what does that tell you?
If as you say, the Channel has the final say, I can only believe that there are some thinking heads there who can satisfy us!
SORRY ABT THE RANt - BUT I DID NEED TO VENT!! 😆
