Priya - I truly appreciate your sincere efforts to demand answers. It is way overdue in my opinion but I'm afraid like always we the viewers will be taken for a ride. I have tried very hard to stay away from this controversy coz as you know it is emotionally taxing. We are all heavily invested in this show but as always there have been no returns for the viewers. The concerned parties really don't seem to care which is really hard to digest.
SP at this point seems to be buying time, for the euphoria over BS quitting to die down, for the London trip to pass before they call it curtains. There is no meeting, there is no decision, and it is all a hog wash. That is the ultimate truth.
The interview was a mockery and a direct consequence of Gul trolling the forum. There were some instances when she mocked at some of the insinuation from the various comments on the forums/social media. Is that how you treat an intelligent audience? I admit, forum does tend to go overboard but not all of it is unfounded. Her role was to clarify those insinuations, not mock it. She has a responsibility to the audience, to her role as the head of a PH.
An ideal situation would have been a press conference or a sit down interview by a 3rd party, clarifying rumors in a dignified manner instead of a tete-a-tete between an employer-employee.
It has been just heartbreak, every track ruined in the last year or so and now the final nail in the coffin, a beautiful show has been ruined. Breaks my heart to admit it but no matter what they do at this point, the show cannot be revived, at least not with this PH. Their heart is not in this show and it is evident for all to see.
Excellent cast underutilized and the leads overworked. If we thought Sheetal track was bad and the show was hitting a new low, with this new track to groom Khushi, the show has hit rock bottom. Sanaya mostly has been exploited as KKG and to this day, her mockery continues. Do we really deserve this? Do they really have to ruin the show to a point that viewers and actors quit on them? Is there a dearth of creative juice in the team that they cannot even give us a decent end?
The romantic story has gone to dogs, what is left of the show is a cast that is going through the motions. Don't blame them, who will be motivated to portray a bumbling Khushi, day after day? Who will be motivated to portray Arnav Singh Raizada, when he is asked to romance a brat and also has an 8yr old brat for a son who was just dropped on the sets coz PH were lacking ideas as the romance had run its course?
Is it too much to ask to end the show on a high note? Does KKG need to make a fool of herself to achieve the status of a dignified woman/businesswoman? Where is the girl who stood up to a business tycoon even in adversity? She wasn't bumbling then. Here she is married to a tycoon but is making an ass of herself. Does the loyal audience comprising mostly of women deserve this?
The argument against a new PH is that Gul holds the copyright to the concept, it is her intellectual property. But they seriously want to admit this crap fest as their intellectual property? Even if they want to end the show, they need a new PH to end it on a decent note. I'm afraid this PH has seriously lost credibility to come up with anything decent, I wouldn't trust them to come up with even 20 decent minutes, let alone a decent track to end this one.
