Yes but the cirumstances of him leaving aren't the best are they? The magic may have been lost- true. Still if you go for another job you need a good reference right? To leave in this messy way, with what I guess is tension from the channel and PH AND the actor is not good. And look at the way that channel and PH have thrown him to the wolves to say he's on a break and then just outright mention he's quitting once he's given interviews...not a good way to make the fans of your show transfer to a movie audience even if you give in your notice and have every right to leave - which he totally does. He was right quitting - nothing wrong with that. But they played dirty in the way they let him exit.
Maybe he didn't even realise how dirty this was all going to be??
