Because nothing has been confirmed.

I just rang and they said he aint leaving,

Some other people rang and said he is on a break

They themselves are not sure.

They are not giving the right news. You are just put on to the consumer cell number and get the sterio message which they just forward and dump in a pile. However better to flood them with phone calls , emails and media
