If he was a private person and didn't want to disclose the truth, then he should shut up rather than say blunders like this. He really has to learn on how to handle the media! This is what he could have said, knowing how his comments would affect his crazy fans.
"I have no comments. I would request all my fans to not worry, but please wait until the channel/PH releases an official statement."
It seems from his audio interview, that he didn't know that channels usually made official statements.. so that means no one asked him to stay quiet. In that case, why is he hiding stuff.. why can't he say the truth..
"Arnav is close to my heart.. and I would like to thank all my fans for giving me all the love. But Bollywood is my dream. I hope my fans will support me in this decision."
OR
"Unfortunately, I have to leave the show because of (health/family/personal) issues."
OR
"The work has been affecting my health, so I have decided to take a break from acting."
etc etc..
No well-deserved break.. no I might/might (not) leave/quit/go promote my movie .. no acting is hard work, so I can't do it! If he can't say the complete truth, just refuse to give statements. Why give partial truth and make your fans go crazy.. and come up with crazy excuses and make them protest.. do you want a pay hike.. or are you playing the sympathy card to make your movie a success?
