I don't know if this is heading towards Khushi misunderstanding Arnav, but if it is , then -
When Aranv misunderstood Khushi -
- he had only known Khushi for six months;
- he felt this strong pull towards Khushi and was falling in love with Khushi;
- he sort of knew Khushi, but not completely;
- he chose to believe his BIL (Shyam) whom he knew for 3 years as opposed to Khushi whom he just was beginning to know;
- Khushi had hid a big truth from him and his family (though she believed she was doing it for their own good), and that led to MU from Arnav's side;
- another mistake by Aranv was not to tell her the truth for 3 months.
But, then eventually he confessed his love for her and believed her without any proof.
If Khushi misunderstands Arnav now -
- she has known Arnav for 16 months;
- they are head over heals in love with each other, defied all the odds and got married properly.
- they know each other inside out (or do they, is that the point of this track?).
- she is choosing to believe Sheetal (an outsider) over Arnav (the love of her life);
- she is choosing to believe Aarav is his son, when Arnav has clearly stated he is not;
I know this track is needed to get the intensity back in the show, hence I am not against it. But, I do think there is some fundamental difference between Arnav's MU and Khushi's MU. She is choosing to believe an outsider over her husband and her husband's assurance (a husband who has proven his love for her again and again) is somehow not acceptable to her. Anyways, as long as it gets the intensity back and shows character growth bring it on!
