I don't think I believe the open letter is seriously from the PH. Doesn't make sense. However, sadly I'm addicted to this to show so I'm putting down an idea just in case.
I'm too disgusted with the letter (if it's true) to actually submit the idea below so if someone feels that this would be worth submitting feel free to do so. If not, ignore this post.
The DNA results are intercepted by Sheetal. The results show that Arnav is not Aarav's father, but Sheetal switches the results and puts them in a pile of letters/mail that HP eventually delivers to Arnav.
Arnav isn't really paying attention as he's opening and reading each letter. Eventually he opens the results and sees the fake results. He thinks he needs to speak with Sheetal to figure out how this can be before he can tell Khushi (Sheetal can claim drunken night or whatever). In the meantime Khushi also comes across the letter (this is maybe a day or two after Arnav sees the letter). Khushi is reading the results as Arnav walks in. Arnav starts to explain and Khushi realizes that he has known about this for a couple of days. Khushi is very upset and she goes to the Gupta house where everyone can see she is visibly upset although she refuses to say why.
At the same time all this is happening with Arnav and Khushi, Shashi has recovered enough to where he can speak. He hasn't fully recovered yet. He decides to make sure that Shyam (who is presumbly in jail) is also prosecuted for what he has done to him. He goes to see Shyam and it is there that Shyam asks Shashi, why the injustice? Why is he the only one being punished when Arnav also forced his own daughter to marry him? (I think Shyam found out about the forced marriage during Holi if I recall). Shashi does not believe him and leaves.
Shashi comes home to a distraught Khushi who refuses to tell him what is wrong. In the meantime Arnav comes to the Gupta house and Shashi explains to Arnav what Shyam has just told him. Arnav goes on to explain, but Shashi stops him as he doesn't want to hear anything more if what Shyam says is true.
Shashi explains that he can never have his daughter go back to such a husband. Shashi sees that it is obvious that Arnav still has managed to do something to make Khushi unhappy.
The whole truth comes out about the forced marriage to the RH and the GH. Akash is also upset with Arnav for using his and Payal's marriage to blackmail(even if he was faking it), when he could have come to him and they could have figured something out for Anjali together.
So starts Arnav's redemption and realization for all he has done to Khushi and the mess he is in now. During this he is also in danger of losing his relationship with Akash. His only support during this is Payal as she knows how much Arnav loves Khushi and also realizes that Aakash loves his brother and needs to forgive him.
Khushi in the meantime also wants to come back to Arnav but Shashi thinks it is only so she can save the family's reputation. His health is still fragile and he starts to fall sick everytime Khushi brings up the subject. In the meantime Arnav also realizes all this and decides that he needs to move away from Khushi so that he stops causing her and her family more pain. In other words redemption and realization track.
Then they can reveal that Aarav is really not Arnav's son.
