Hello everyone,

We have been monitoring this thread. Religion itself is one of the controversial topics, not just here but all around the world, and it can be very sensitive.But the topic maker has not made any mockery out of the religious festival or insulted anyones belief. She was asked to edit few of the content from her post which she has done so nobody should have any problem with the main post.

We would also like to inform everyone that the DT respond to every report based on its merit. The members are asked to PM the moderators if they have any problem instead of confronting each other directly in the open forum. Do not try to blow the issue out of proportion based on which fan group you all belongs to or the past you all share with each other.

We hope to have everyones cooperation!

Hey gal,
This is a nice post. Irrespective of Diwali, Eid or Christmas I don't see any point in bashing or bickering over some fictional character or even a show. World doesn't revolve around any individual and everybody is entitled to have their personal opinion and has got the right to voice it out also. But that should not turn into a mud slugging fest.
Nice effort on the part of the TM!

so here is my question to you

1. bashing is "evil" that is why we are "sacrificing" it for the month of Diwali, because Diwali is after all triumph of "good" over "evil" TM's words, not mine.

2. and we know we will resume the evil once the Diwali month is over - again, an intent implicit in the declaration of expiry date for the sacrifice.

Doesn't that make us bigger sinners? Is this approved by Lord Ram in whose deference this appeal is being made? Because if I know my festivals right (because I was too born and raised in North India), Ravan, the evil, was killed once and for all and not just for a month. Are we saying we will allow good to triumph over evil only for this month?

Or do we buy license from Lord Ram to bash the rest of the year because we have abstained from bashing during the holy month. Can someone please clarify that for me? Now that we have Mods approve that religious symbols are ok to be used, I ask you experts of religious festivals.

See, if i know my festivals right, its a time for introspection to recognize your weaknesses and correct them. I dont think its a time to say oh for this month I wont do it but guess what starting next month, I fully plan to do "Evil". And do Hindu deities such as Laxmi, Ram and other holy figures worshipped during the festival season, really think bashing is "Evil"? Did they tell you that?

Pardon me, but since we are using religious symbols here, I question these as a matter of religious inquiry to all the experts here.
