I think, yes environmental factors definitely shape the individual you become and help create that unique identity - otherwise every human would be an exact replica of their parents. However genetics play a role in terms of predisposing that person to react to certain situations in a certain way.
If anger problems run in the family - chances are the kid may be more aggressive in nature. If drinking problems run in the family - chances are the kid may choose certain escapist routes to deal with their problems.

I know, IPKKND...or any Indian show for that matter, always tends to over-exaggerate things. They are also doing this to create the confusion in the viewer's mind. However, i feel, it would have been better if the kid had little traits of ASR - rather than being an exact replica of him.

Psy student !😊 Good to know...
The points you have made i get and may have things to refute and agree to... but then thats related to the field we are talking about!! 😊 and we can take that on the side! 😉

What I absolutely hate is the way psychology is misused and mis represented in Indian cinema and television!!! Its like no one knows about it so lets just do what we like... and now we see another classic example of that happening!! And like I said I am sensitive to such misrepresentation

Anjali being a classic example of how her character was not explored properly. I was so excited to see the layers being stripped away - but no. She was made to be a selfish sister at the end of it all, because the CVs were not able to handle the psychological complexities in her character.

I understand what you mean. Since I absolutely love human behaviour, and am doing abnormal psych at the moment - It's annoying to see that the CVs, directors, or a writer of a show or movie, not do their proper research before presenting something.

Children tend to imitate their parents or the environment they live in,they observe, they learn. Traits are never inherited. In fact a child try to copy his parent or the the person he admires. But here Aarav has been away from ASR & he does not know him as his father,so how could they come with so many similarities between them.Or they want to confuse audience .For me it unrealistic coz am a mother of thre children,& each of them have different characters, traits so on.They have some of our characteristics not all.But here they are showing all ASR traits in the child to make believe that this is his child. Really lame...

Agree!!! The most important fact they always tend to over look is that a child most of the time has some similarity in looks to the parents... ofcourse that fact gets over looked!! But what gets over hammered is behavioural similarities!! And the similarities they are showing is stupid!!! I mean the kid says 'What The'??? Psychologist around the world will faint if they see/ hear this!!!

My thought EXACTLY...I sooo agree with them BUT PLEASE ADD

THE KID IS DEFO NOT NORMAL..even even if you TRAIN the kid , no1 can be like this even the damn dialogues are the same unless the mom has him locked in the room and instead of cartoons and playing he is learning to BE ASR🤢 and this inhumane...

I am worried if that Sheetal is more intelligent, wears better clothes ( we know that😡 than Khushi) and will use her brain more ...THEN TO

Unless it doesnt turn out to be a result of training provided... I am gonna wack the CVs for making a mockery and misrepresenting psychology!!!
About Sheetal.. well it was bad enough that Khushi's clothes looked terrible stand alone.. now we have someone who makes them look worse!!!

If she is honest and straightforward and asks Arnav for a DNA test, I'm fine with that, because he was honest in telling her about the relationship he shared with Sheetal and she has a right to know about his past. BUT If it is secretively, like the spoiler said and she gets the DNA tested without letting Arnav know I feel that would be a major setback in their relationship as it shows she has no trust in him.

Cant comment on it right now... cause the episode hasnt aired and we dont know if it happens what leads to her doing it and how does she do it!!! Lets discuss it when the episode does air!! 😊

Thank you! The kid hasn't even LIVED with Arnav so how on earth can he be like him?! Things like gardening, personality, attitude, clothing is NOT inherited! It's learned from the environment and since the child has been living with Sheetal all these years, Aarav should be like Sheetal! He should be into designing, should be quiet, an introvert! I don't think Sheetal has any knowledge about gardening, I don't think she would show her child a bad attitude towards people! Fine, Aarav can have gardening skills, he could've LIKED gardening as a hobby but READING the newspaper?! Really...? Fine, some children are really smart and are into news and everything but the fact that they're trying to show him as a replica of ASR is just wrong! The child has been living with the mother, so his role model should be his mother! He should observe and imitate his mother! Arnav wasn't like this when he was younger, he became like this because of his past! Why would Aarav be like this?! He's a child! It's going a bit overboard with this Aarav-is-Arnav's-son drama by showing him EXACTLY like Arnav. I'm not against the track, in fact it would be great to watch but the traits CANNOT be inherited and it's just irking me because they're getting their nature vs nurture all wrong!

CVs have shown Khushi as dumb witted 90% of the time and 10% of the time with some intelligence and understanding. Anyways, Hotwa loves her like this so who are we to protest?😉

@ Bold.. dont they always get it wrong!!!

I agree with you.. Am not against this track.. but showing illogical things just because the mass doesnt know too much about behavioural science is not correct!!! And yeah the point you made about dressing!!! Are they showing that is genetically inherited too??? If Sheetal is dressing him up like Arnav then why is the kid not feeling odd about dressing up like an adult!! Doesnt his friends make fun?? BTW does this kid go to a school even or is he directly going to Harvard??
