The audience are also equally at fault here because of petitioning at every whim without letting the creators tell the story their own way. All this demands ruin the creative flow of the creatives and as a result they come up with half-baked plots with no flow to please the audience. I think the remarriage also happened due to audience demand; they wanted Arhi together and not seperated. I think the makers were definately heading for a separation when you look at all the symbolisms before remarriage. Also the way Arnav reacted after the past revelation and the way he spoke to Khushi after it were all pointing towards separation. So I think they changed script due to audience demand and hence remmarriage happened. But to me it didn't make any sense to me how Arnav would forget about the past so easily. I was rooting for a separation. It would have had more intensity and it would have made more sense. This time, I urge them to ignore the audience demand just this one time and tell their story. I also politely ask people to stop with all your demands and just wait and watch how this track unfolds. I feel if people keep making all these petitions you are ultimately going to get ignored one day as a result of the frustrations of the IPK writers and creatives.

What if sheetal wants Arnav with her, as she has borne the society's questions alone so far? After all it is also Arnav's responsibility...

You see, there is no solution possible ... Typical Hindi moie will take a turn - where sheetal will turn a real vamp and gets killed in the end ,
or she will suffer from some terminal disease... etc. etc...



Either way, it will butcher Arnav's character, who had seen some tragedy 5 years back , was driven out of his house and had to rebuild his life , but he just involved with his class-mate.


One more point is -- just because something can happen, we don't want it to be the part of story. Do we? It is possible that Arnav meets with an accident, and becomes invalid for life ... total paralysis in lower body ... Now their love is tested and Khushi will take care of Arnav , will take care of his business ... etc.. etc.. Possible . But do we want such story? No. What we have is a beautiful , unique love story , let it remain that way ... we don't want to explore the complex equations of human life where sometimes no one is wrong , yet the circumstances are so wrong , that they may not be corrected and then there is celebration of maturity in emotions, taking things as they are and compromise the things thinking that real life is different than reel life ... We don't want those serious stuff here, even if the world is against them , even if there is MU or fighting going on , we want them to over come those and their perfect bliss always !

I watch this serial for 22mts/5 to get some light hearted entertainment and a torrid romance develop between TVdom's most electrifying onscreen couple whose antics were once so scorching that I who never see Indian soaps ended up investing time energy and efforts in actually wanting to share my views on a platform such as IF

I have seen and experienced pain sorrow grief and loss in my own life and in those near to me and I watch for some respite from the ugliness of life and reality Label me an escapist viewer if you like but I like to watch a love story unfold and not a Man Woman And Child sort of scenario unfolding- have read the book seen the movie and honestly never was impressed enough even by the so called Western /Hollywood yardstick so you can imagine my horror over the thought of the mindless butchery Indian soap creatives are capable of inflicting on us and going by the track record of this PH high time we all stopped having any expectations all said and done this is a soap and the TRPs while not being published publicly will still be available on the inside and they know what is expected and will act accordingly

We have to cease viewing this serial from the prism of our own cultural upbringings and exposure that has helped shape our own thinking from the other countries we come from and stop demanding characters to behave from that perspective as well as our own personal expectations of how KKG ASR should act

On paper the idea of this track sounds promising but this is not Western Television this is for Asian audience who want drama and excitement and justice for the female lead ( a point that has eluded this serials makers ergo low TRPs but that's another issue altogether) so while that raging post on the potential promise of this track made for great reading will not apply here as the targeted segment of this serial will never accept anything else and end of the day pleasing that viewership is what will be paramount

I am no feminist malenist but an equal opportunist and believe in life love and pursuit of happiness irrespective of gender This serial has brought out an unhealthy militant need in me to constantly fight for the female character such has been her pathetic portrayal over the last couple of months

I am tired of seeing just one character always playing second fiddle to another First it was girlfriend then his sister then his past and now a blast from his past with a living walking talking proof of an ad that condoms don't work all the time

I don't want to see scenes of domestic bliss all the time but at the same time don't want to see cringe worthy track of child becoming a bone of contention between 2 women

Instead of a Didi Ka Sauth we are being given now a Biwi Ka Sauth Is this what this once passionate intense love story has become?

Why cannot something be shown from her side of life also? She too must surely be having her own baggage and history but the way the creatives have gone about is pathetic they have whitewashed her side of the story and its always about his pain his actions and her reactions to it I would have loved her walking out of the contract marriage or a separation of sorts They overplayed their hand in the marriage track bit and doubt they would have survived another round for whatever was left off the viewership would have certainly deserted them leaving them open to the ignominy of a cancellation

I got an interesting insight with one of the TRP generating aunties who lives down my lane when I went to visit their house for Navratri during IPKKND slot time and she said she felt very dissatisfied with the way the female lead was shown no not her comedy or OTT😲 for believe it or not they enjoy SI a lot for that and adore KKG's antics but her life her family and her own history She said some serial that airs at 9.30 shows life on both sides of the leads family and isn't that what life is all about and why is it always so one sided and then she proceeded to change the channel to child bride.

I did not mention my closet addiction to this serial

I would have loved a jealousy track albeit without issues from a rubber tear or lack of it so sue me if sound like a wuss as after all this has been touted as a love story

My view she should have been shown leaving him then the truth of the past coming out a separation Shyams games her fathers story his wooing anjalis unraveling of her husbands duplicity all enough to keep the serial going for at least some time and they should have ended it with the wedding track instead of foisting a track done to death a million times with the same result

Now having said that I am mature and worldly wise enough to not even ever bother to allow the matter of his chastity or the lack of it remotely cross my mind and was chuckling when it actually became a raging debate But soon realized that these were written by young ones who have no life experience and immediately felt quite a bit alarmed as obviously many of these posts were written by minors and the thought of them being influenced here in their formative years by the kind of mature content here is unsettling for one as I shudder to think of some regressive thinking posts here has given me cause for alarm and do not find anything humorous in that

FLS- That boat sailed a long time back. Yes they were absolutely electrifying. Yes they made my toe curl. But lately i've felt 'Sarun' haven't been able to weave their magic. But you hit the nail on the head, it people like YOU, friends like you, that make me watch IPK these days. Honestly if it weren't for IF i would have quit this ship wreck a log time back.

And i don't think 'light hearted' romance will ever do it because it's already ruined and i don't want them to also ruin the better memories of it ergo i atleast want some solid entertainment.

But nothing about IPK is in anyway 'real'. Even if we go ahead with this track i don't think it's going to be as dramatically bad/sad/real as people make it out to be. This is IPK we're talking about.

I can't argue with this point FLS. You're right i cannot gauge how the conservative indian audience will react. RC thinks it's a good plot.

I think this track has the potetial of bringing back the passion. Because it's centered about Arnav and khushi It will be interesting to see how it plays out. I've reselved myself to the fact that Khushi suffering is non-negotiable, i'd rather be entertained while they're at it. Shallow much? Only because there isn't much depth to this show.

What do you know maybe there is a child down the lane who thinks WE are the TRP aunties. 😆 At the end of the day the main audience is female and unfortunately Miss Gul doesn't seem to grasp this.
