With great success comes greater responsibility!!
I was wondering if this can be driven home to the present IPK team (I mean those who matter to make a difference)! They are a bunch of hugely talented people with absolute great shows like Geet and now IPK. IPK even out beats their earlier show in terms of reach and diverse fan following.
You need a thinking head to be able to handle so much of adulation and success and move things in the correct direction. You can either take things for granted and allow things to slide or be very aware that you are catering to a very fickle audience and also are in the business of stiff competition. Wrong moves can land you in big messes and in the long run even if you are good at what you deliver your reputation will precede you.
We have seen the down slide of the story line of the previous show even before it was shut down as they claim was because the channel was shutting down. What started off brilliantly was watered down in the end as IPK had started.
Is IPK going the same way? Yes, I certainly think so... there is a certain amount of disinterest, maybe taking for granted the fan following and loyal ones at that. Not talking of the present track as it still needs to play out to form opinions but am talking of handling of the USP of the show - the passion between the leads. Post marriage we have only got a watered down version. History repeating itself with the new show coming up???
A very earnest and sincere request to the team (the ones who matter) - please don't play around with your audience's emotions. It is very rare that a show has got such following and love from across board. People who have never watched TV shows in their life are hooked on to IPK. It has never happened before and will take a long time to happen again. You have created such a magical product but be responsible enough to take care of it as well as your audience.
Your two wonderful leads are the toast of the telly world and any other team would give their right arm to have them on their show. Please ensure that they remain and they don't get disheartened with your disinterest. They are totally dedicated and sincere individuals.
IPK is epic for all those who are still watching it, whatever the track and hope it is still for you!!
Guys, will be great if we could get our views across and make the team understand what IPK means to us. No bashing please ... only polite posts as this post is made with the intention of letting the makers know that we are watching things unfold and are worried for the future of the show!!
