Hola friends,π€π€
Thanks for opening the thread Swapna.π I couldn't write in the last two days so I'll make up for it today by writing my thoughts on Wednesday and Thursday's epi along with Friday's epi.π³
I didn't know it's Appu's birthday today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY APPU. π€π€---------------------------------------------Wednesday
I liked the episode because we finally saw a sane, sensible and strong Anjali.ππΌWe waited for months to see Anjali come out of her bubble and our wait was finally over. She accepted that it was her who refused believe the truth, although the evidences were laid out in front of her. Shyam did try to manipulate her one last time by putting the blame on Khushi, but this time he failed. The episode focused on Anjali and Daljeet gave a wonderful performance. πππ Abhaas did a good job as well.π Sanaya was good too.π Barun didn't have much to do other than the last scene.π³ I just want to remind one thing to the cvs, being ASR doesn't always mean being arrogant. Being ASR doesn't mean just playing the BG. ASR is the pillar of strength for his family and he is an intelligent, vigilant man.π
Thursday
The first part of the epi was intense and emotional with meaningful dialogues.πππΌ It began with Anjali burning Shyam's belonging and memories and starting over. I had a brief facepalm moment on seeing Anjali setting the suitcase on her inside her bedroom but nevertheless, the scene was good. Later Anjali comes to Arhi room to apologize to Khushi and Khushi assures her that it's okay. Both Sanaya and Daljeet were amazing in that scene.πππ It felt like a real nanand-bhabhi conversation and Barun was good too.πππ
The morning scene between Arhi was lighthearted and fun but it felt like I missed a few scenes or maybe an entire episode. This is one complain that I have. Whenever there is a change of track, it jumps from one track to another abruptly. ππΌ Sure, Anjali has moved on but why would Arnav plan to go to watch a Derby race the next morning? Khushi has planned to watch a movie to cheer up Anjali, which is great, but the next morning just seems a little too early. π³ Why couldn't one episode or a few scenes be dedicated to family's reaction, Anjali's emotions or a much needed nighttime conversation between Arhi? π If Khushi planned to cheer up Anj, a scene with Khushi thinking she should be doing something for Anjali would have been good.π³ These are subtle touches which add to the continuity or the smooth transition from one track to the next one. π³
I was a little shocked to see the theater scene because it wasn't funny in most parts. ππΌ ASR was portrayed as a tycoon at the beginning of the show. If he is really one, shouldn't he have a booked the theater for his wife or arrange for an exclusive screening? A millionaire should have a home theater to say the least. Even if they did go to the theater, it was surprising that nobody recognized him even after hearing his name.π
The whole thing with the food didn't make any sense and it has more to do with rules and etiquettes. It's not just Khushi but none of the Raizada's knew they can't the food inside which was very weird. It looked like forced comedy in most part.ππΌ But I couldn't help but rofl when Khushi said they've been married for years.π Sanaya was too good. πππ Barun nailed it with his killer expressions πππ and the rest of the cast was good too.π
Minus the theater scene, the episode was good and to give the epi it's due credit, I ended up watching it twice.ππ³
FridayAfter seeing the forum's reaction, I thought this was one of the worst episodes in IPKKND history but when I watched it, I found it surprisingly good.π³ But there are some parts which I didn't like. The theater scene was a continuation from Thursday although it wasn't as bad as it was on the previous day; it was still boring and dragged a lot. ππΌ There was absolutely no need to show us the whole movie and the prolonged discussion between NK and Khushi regarding the plot was completely unnecessary. How many times did Khushi say Salman Khan? π€ I lost count.π The point of the theater scene was that Arnav wanted to spend some quality time with Khushi and he was frustrated that Khushi didn't realize it. I know that people get excited while watching movies, they laugh, cry and get angry. But it was a bit of an exaggeration when Khushi got and started shouting as if it was happening for real.π Thanks for restricting the whistling to mami only, but I'd rather not see her whistling in future.π³ My heart went out to Arnav, poor guy, he was trying hold his wifey's hand but everytime he tried, and she would move her hands away in excitement.π
The bedroom scene was brilliant.βοΈ Khushi realizes Arnav is angry but she has no idea why. Angry and frustrated, Arnav tells her he wanted to spend time with her but she got it all wrong and that she actually doesn't understand him and leaves for work. I loved the pinning against the wall. ππ³ Khushi realizes her mistake and she wants to make it up to Arnav.
She goes to his office and the receptionist tells her he is in a meeting in his cabin. She wants to apologize and makes amends so she comes up with an idea to dress up an English movie actress. She is surprised to find him in the conference room and why the lights are turned off. She dresses up in three different and funny looking costumes, leaving Arnav shocked and speechless. He makes several attempts to tell her he is not alone in the room, but Khushi is not the one to listen.π By the end of it, she realizes what a blunder she has done, and is completely embarrassment.π³ To her and Arnav surprise, the clients don't take any offense but they rather like the outfits and finalize the deal.
Only thing I didn't understand was, why did the client the first two outfits? πI was as shocked as Arnav. π If they had to like the first two outfits, couldn't you actually give some nice, likeable costumes so that it made sense that the clients liked them?π³ The first one was kiddish and the second one was a normal, chinese style outfit.
After they leave, Arnav blasts Khushi for being nearly ruining his work and Khushi tells him she was only trying to make it up to him. Arnav understands and says that she can make it up to him by calling him Arnav from now on.π³ Khushi gets shy and they share cute hug.
At home, Khushi makes plans for Arnav's birthday but the family discourages her saying Arnav doesn't like to celebrate his birthday.π
Barun and Sanaya were both brilliant in the episode. Barun was totally in ASR element and his expressions and dialogue delivery was top notch.πππ Sanaya was simply superb in the office scene and her comic timing is just brilliant.πππ As silly as it was, Sanaya was just too adorable there and she looked too cute.π
I think the purpose of this track is show that other than just love and trust, understanding is also required to make a marriage work.π Khushi is a child-woman. She loves Arnav and his family but she needs to split her time and attention she gives to his and him. I think it is all about doing things for your spouse and understanding each other needs and adapting. Sometimes Arnav will have to make adjustments and sometimes Khushi will have to make adjustments.π
Note to the CVs : This can be a really good track,if dealt properly but you have to be careful not to goof up. There can be romance, there can drama and there can be comedy. But balance is the key. We are in no hurry to watch so there is no need to jump tracks. π³
