Great to be on IP Adda!! đ
The name may be different, but the spirit is the same. A new venue for Reduxians to continue being together! Cheers to all!
Loved the epi... a good light-hearted yet slightly packed one to ebb away the tensions of yesterday!
Vi (Abavi) had asked a question earlier this evening - "what was Khushi's plan that made Arnav so emphatically against it?" Part of my answer was in my last post on Redux đ... let's see... here's the extract from it:
"Khushi's plan, whatever it is, seems to be heading in a direction that may induce Shyam to confess his own crimes to Anjali and the rest of the family."
What I had also noted in Wednesday's episode (like many others) was that the NK-Devi Maiyya-Maamiji scene was to lay down the base of how Shyam will confess his misdeeds to everyone. Today's episode gave a few indications regarding this matter. Playing Shyam's own game against him is what Khushi has in mind. Each and every event today was a carbon copy of Shyam's evil plans operated against Anjali.
Now over here, allow me to say this much, Khushi keeps repeating how clever, cunning and alert Shyam is, then why would she play Shyam's same cards against him? If he is as clever as she thinks him to be, which btw he is, then won't he spot the similar pattern of incidents occurring with him? No wonder Arnav is hell bent against this plan!
I admit it makes for hilarious viewing, that there is a good point in the plan (which I shall mention later), and sadists that we are, we all enjoyed Shyam getting back a bit of his own poison, but I felt that Khushi's character was again dumbed down a bit that left me feeling slightly cheated.
Anyway, getting back on track with the episode... The blank calls, the glass shards in the razor, the glass pieces in the socks - all were enough to spook anyone if they happen after few minutes of each other.
The moment Anjali rushed in to Arnav-Khushi's room for first aid, and when the glass shards in the razor couldn't be found, I knew it could have only been the ever faithful and loyal NK who was behind the exchange of razors. What I was also happy to note was that Khushi has left behind her 'I can do it all on my own' dictum to ask for help from NK, and to work along with Arnav in this case. đ
Shyam was so much more bothered about proving himself right rather than bothering about the cuts and bruises. All his doings against others are coming back at him gradually. He is still the insecure man, desperate to prove that he is not lying, forgetting his 'fake' mask of calmness, goodness, and sensibility.
Although Khushi's plan may fail for the reason I stated in the previous few paragraphs, they are working in the one way that may speed up to reach the goal of once again unmasking Shyam in front of the pseudo-Devi Maiyya (in this case) - Anjali.
Today itself Anjali caught several glimpses of the real Shyam. The Shyam who gets annoyed easily, the Shyam who expresses his anger when thoroughly rattled, the Shyam who does not care if it is his own Rani Sahiba who is tending to him while he fumes away, the Shyam who yells, screams, and shouts around when things go wrong with him.
Anjali has never really witnessed this raw side of Shyam. To her he was always her caring, soft-spoken, loving, tender, soothing, and supportive husband - not a husband who disturbs the peace, calmness, and serenity of their home just over mere trifling situations.
Khushi's plan is sure bringing out the real face of Shyam in front of Anjali. Anjali is the one person who believes Shyam at face value. Therefore, it is crucial that the blindfold of her loving husband be removed from her eyes when she herself witnesses his real face.
The last time when Shyam's truths were exposed Anjali did not completely believe them - she did not believe them because it wasn't confirmed by Shyam himself. Anjali trusts, and believes Shyam blindly. It is Shyam's words alone that Anjali resolutely believes in; therefore it is Shyam and Shyam alone whose words condemning himself will make Anjali believe the truth of the matter.
Witnesses to Shyam's true face: Naaniji, Maamiji, Anjali were the main ones who for the first time perhaps saw and heard Shyam unlike before. Though Naaniji is aware of Shyam's real character, this is the first time she is seeing part of it for herself. Maamiji always had her doubts about Shyam, and never really bought in to his charms - today was another tip in her bag for not having high thoughts about him. Anjali, well, we've already discussed her above.
Maamiji cutting Onions: This is the point where I wish DB (Doodle, Doods) was here to guide us! đ All I could come up with was that Onions have layers that are peeled off. The layers of Shyam's fake character have already begun to be peeled out via Khushi's plan. However, what was also interesting to note was that, Maamiji's eyes were blinded by tears from cutting the onions. Not sure if I'm reading too much into it, since I have been 'symbolism and metaphor' starved since the past one month of episodes here!
Naaniji with the kalash: Okay, I'm not really sure what Naaniji was carrying. Couldn't help again feel that it means something significant. I identified what she was carrying with something to be holy. Naaniji already has a bit of the truth about Shyam that Arnav confided to her after the kidnapping fiasco. The fact that she entered the scene with it as Shyam's furious voice rang out seemed to be like Naaniji casting away the evil influences of Shyam by perhaps letting Anjali know the truth of what Arnav had seen on the terrace that night. Naaniji has always been by Anjali's side, I'm sure she will help in making Anjali see Shyam clearly for what he is if Anjali still refuses to believe the truth. '
No first-aid in Shyam-Anjali's room: It's a bit lame but couldn't help see it as no rescue, no help, no aid for Shyam once the truth is out. Also saw it from another angle that, Anjali will finally be brought out of her dream world, and she will have to face reality, there will be no other medicine to heal her broken dreams this time.
ASR still around: In the way he clutched Shyam around his neck, in the way he glared mercilessly at Shyam, in the way he repeated that Khushi's plan may not be successful - all pointing to the fiery ASR still alive. My SKD is that Khushi's plan may fumble right near the end when they almost have Shyam, and ASR's smart, shaatir brain saves the day by walloping Shyam with a fabulous unexpected twist!
Giggle-worthy moments: Shyam:"Ye bulb kaise toota?" ... Arnav (straight-face, glare-eyed, attitude-bhara): "Bulb hai... toot gaya!" 𤣠Totally loved that and I'm going to watch it on repeat - it was as enthralling as a Rabba Ve! Arnav-Khushi-NK scene: Who did not like it? These three together are always a riot! Also, comedy is their strength and forte. Barun loves comic scenes, Sanaya has great comic timing, and Karan, oh he's just a natural in such scenes! đ
Nok-jhok, bickering newly married couple: I don't mind that there's less of romantic moments, and less of Rabba Ve's. I find more delight in watching these two contest each other and bicker away like kids at any given opportunity!! đ Khushi knew how to get a reluctant husband to fall in line with her schemes - a bit of taunting, a bit of doubting his ability to deliver and lo behold - the competitive streak of proving ones mettle comes pouncing from husband dearest. Later once the play-act is done, it's time to stoke the fires of who acted better and who contributed to the success of the plan! đ
Pre-cap thoughts: Though I normally steer away from precaps, was wondering how tomorrow will work out. Shyam has blurted out that it is abortion tablets that Anjali has given him. Now, the natural question someone should ask is how Shyam knows that they are those tablets, what remains to be seen however is whether Shyam will slip away smoothly with one of his silky clever answers! đ¤
Barun Sobti: Loved the comeback of angry, rage filled, 'if-looks-could-kill' Arnav Singh Raizada!!! Loved the fiery intensity in your eyes! Also, laughed at your comic scene - well done by you, very natural look! âď¸
Sanaya Irani: Your sense of comedy and comic timing is simply too good! One can't help giggle and laugh heartily when you are on a roll! Loved the not-so-victorious hint of smile in the kitchen as you heard Shyam's delusional account recounted by Anjali. đ
Karan Goddwani: As always, love you! Be it in serious scenes, or funny ones like today's - you are simply too good! âşď¸
Abhaas Mehta: I am relieved to write about you! Enjoyed every bit of the scenes you were in, of course part was because of Shyam being punished, but then you made us hate him so much that today you made us love seeing Shyam in pain (though I didn't like the razor scene - that was too 'ouch' for words! đ
Hey guys, thanks for staying with us! Love your support, feedback, and appreciation! Just like you, I too miss Tants and DB a lot... funny how it's been just a day and it feels longer than that! But, not to worry, we're still here, and we'll try tugging Tants and DB to at least chat with us! đ Take care... đ
A warm thank you to Rits, Sarika, Teju, Chaitu and Swapna for coming forward to continue a thread where we all can gup-shup around like always! đ¤
