I am not saying that Barun's movie will not do well, the reality is when an actor gets immense popularity because of a fictional character (barun has played Shravan, Swayam Khurana, but that did not give him any popularity like ARNAV) then that artist has to take his career step very carefully esp when it has to do with Bollywood. Because his image popularity is linked to a fictional character that he played. So if he does that mistake, he may also face the same situation like Iqbal. Please do not bash me, I am not saying that he will definitely face but it just a scenario.

I agree with the gist of the post but there is slight correction. Iqbal didn't leave the show for funtoosh. That movie was released in 2003. The show started in 2005. But he wanted to pursue Bollywood, he was there till the end of the show. Now, I don't know if they wrapped up the show coz: they leads didn't get along too well (rumors were floating around quite a bit) or if Iqbal wanted to pursue Bollywood or the story was saturated?! No idea.
But after kyph, Iqbal acted in couple more soaps after that we don't know what happened. Now he is back with tmls. Those shows weren't as popular as Kyph. And honestly, I think the craze for him died down back then itself.

So yes, Barun or any other highly popular actor should think carefully before they leave for Bollywood. Especially when they are leaving a show that has given them that popularity. Ofcourse one should think about the next stage in their career and make good use of the fame they enjoy but not by putting the show in jeopardy that's given them all that and more.
