Jeremy Irons, British actor
A certain thoughtful episode. Thoughtful title. Good crooner, lovely quotes. We are time-travelling indeed with them, our favorite characters.
For me, it was like entering the Garden of Eden, a certain enchanted forest, where it all began and some years ago, ended as well. This was his time machine, that took him to his fairy land where there was happiness, his mother. Before the forbidden deed was done and the world around him spiralled into vacuum. This is his time machine. Now ready to take him to the land of dreams with his beloved. The tree of life, the garden of roses indeed.
I agree with you about the BD. It was jarring. Although Barun aced the scene, Barun and Sanaya together have a certain trait in them to bring the greater great in each other. So I was left wondering if the scene would have been even better if the two were in the same frame.
The blindman's buff could have been more creative. Never mind. It took us to something that was uniquely IPK. A unique "Gandharva" union, a unique "hum aaj ek ho gaye." Why would you want to be any more married? When all of us in our own lives look for this utopian union?
Although the transition from a playful mood to serious was evident as you and Anjali pointed out, for me, it was a split second realization of what ASR feared the most. Khushi's reference to sand slipping through fingers and ASR's fear of "Everything in my life just goes away." I could almost picture him remember the life he had loved as it slipped away from him. Ironically, memories have a powerful way about them. They can hit at the most unexpected moments, leaving you wondering "why did I remember that now?"
I also second that Khushi will be the one to leave him, to relieve him of his dilemma. Painful it would be. But it takes me back to my favorite Shelley poem:
We look before and after,
And pine for what is not:
Our sincerest laughter
With some pain is fraught;
Our sweetest songs are those that tell of saddest thought
Probably the day he considers Garima "Amma" as well would be the day that these two will get back together. How possible is this thought, I don't know.
As for Anjali, when it comes to her, I enter my own painted bubble. Dadi's "finding" did not sit well with me at all. A bit loud it felt.
For now though, they have managed to keep old wine charm and character of ASR in tact. Muchos Gracias for that. 👍🏼
Ahem! Pretty long! Thanks for all the ranting space. I cannot help it. Your crooners tickle me into IPK writing! 😃
i m already worried n after reading that my dil ki dharkan taiz hw people come up with this.
