I must warn you, this post is all about Dadi and Shyam. No Arshi. I hope you will still read.
"Goodnight, Rani Sahiba." Shyam said, as he pulled the blanket over Anjali and kissed her forehead. She smiled and closed her eyes. He slowly tiptoed out of the room and walked up to the terrace. He looked up at the stars in the sky and laughed. "I am back!"
"Damadji." He turned around and smiled, as he saw Dadi walking to him, smiling. She stopped in front of him and touched his face. "I am so glad you are back. I missed you." Tears filled her eyes. "I am so glad you came back to be with.." she paused and burst into a smile, "with me."
Shyam grinned. He touched Dadi's arms and gave her the sweetest smile his face could ever hold and said, softly, "Dadiji, thank you for bringing me here."
His smile disappeared as he pushed her away. "But you old hag, what did you think?"
Dadi's eyes opened wide as Shyam continued.
"That I came here for you? That you were the one who brought me here?" Shyam laughed. Dadi looked confused.
"I always wondered why Rani Sahiba and Saale Saab were so dumb. Now I realized, after all they are your grandchildren." Shyam grinned, as he continued. "All I had to do was sweet talk to you, flirt with you and you thought I loved you. I don't love you. Look at you, you are old enough to be my grandmother!" Shyam chuckled; a tear rolled down Dadi's cheek.
Dadi exhaled deeply. "I don't know why I hoped that maybe deep down you did love me. But it is okay, you are a good husband. You love my Anjali and that is what matters." She turned around to walk away.
"Wait, you think I did all this because of my love for Anjali?" Dadi raised her eyebrows and turned around to look at Shyam. He leaned against the wall, his arms folded. He laughed.
"I came back so I could take revenge against Arnav. How dare he think that he could keep me away from my love.. his money and his.. wife.." Dadi's eyes opened wide. "Yes, I love Khushiji. I have always loved only her. But Khushiji, she will suffer, because she said she loved Arnav and that she hated me. Because of her, Arnav and this family will suffer. As long as I live, I will not let Arnav and her unite. I will never let this family be happy. Dadiji, do you know why Rani Sahiba had a miscarriage?" Dadi broke into tears.
"Damadji..?" She started.
"Yes, I caused it. It was all my plan." Shyam laughed.
Dadi's eyes filled with fury. "I will expose you. I will tell everyone your true colors."
Shyam laughed. "Everyone in the house did know my true colors, except my Rani Sahiba, and she being your grand daughter, will always be dumb. But did that stop your family from bringing me back into this house". He shook his head, his lips pressed together to form a smile on his face. "But I agree, I owe it all to one person. I do have you to thank for that, my sweetheart." He grinned, walked to her, threw his arms around her and kissed her forehead. He laughed and walked away.
Dadi looked at Shyam as he walked away. She gulped and said, "Oops."
Not sure if this was funny. I am just angry!
