Each episode of IPKKND follows an interesting cycle.
Some people love it, some hate it,
Some criticise it, some rave and some rant.
The ravers and ranters are called bashers.
Then all the lovers rant against the ranters.
The ranters go up in arms and ..
The saga continues.
Let us define who is a basher?
Is any who speaks against the epi a basher?
IMO no.
To dislike an epi or a part of it, is not bashing.
To rave and rant and express your frustration with your show is also not bashing.
The viewership of this show is made up several personalities,, intelligent thinking people, with their own expectations of the show.
We are all emotionally invested in the show and more often than not the episodes do not come up to our expectations.
Let us look at viewer behaviour and classify it.
Types of IPKKND viewers:
Unconditional lovers :They know they are on to a good thing and appreciate it
Analysts : They bring out amazing insights and subtexts many of are not aware of
Satirists : their wicked humour adds another dimension to the show and characters
Perfectionists : They set high standards and will not settle for anything less
Activists : socially conscious individuals who sensitise us to ethical and moral contexts
Vocalists : outspoken and unafraid to speak their minds
But they all have one thing in common and that is their love for IPKKND.
The characters to them are real and personal.
They love, hate, fight against, fight with, fight for demand, laugh at, laugh with, criticise, analyse, cringe, winge, binge ( at watching old epis)
They all feel strongly about what it was, what it is, and what it has the potential to be!!
As long as they all care, they show it in their unique way.
They all are equal citizens of the Democratic Republic of India Forum IPKKND.
Bashers are those who are not viewers, they come in use abusive language just for the heck of it and disappear.
We all love IPKKND in our own way, Some the ASR way, some unconditionally like Khushi and some silently like payal .
When loyal viewers complain and criticise it is a healthy sign, when they become indifferent, and switch off - that is the problem.
that's the death knell, till then we are good!
