In those days they in affluent families they used to give the girls basic education and get them married. Maybe even Garima has the basic education and her wedding was fixed when she was very young. Those days girl got married at the age between 14 to 16.

or it could be that chacha jee planned it all along...made the brake fail of snr maliks car...so that he will end up killing K's parents...and then pointed a finger at his brother saying he killed...which snr malik denied but then obviously jhoot seems the truth always...so keep the matters hush dadi accepted that her son did the killing...and so on...
