Shyam Manohar Jha - The Game Player
Today we found out that Shyam was definitely the force behind bringing back Dadi ji from her isolation; this is what most of us expected. He wants to enter RM by hook or crook and chose an easy target like Dadi to succeed in his plans. He fed her lies about a huge misunderstanding that caused him to be sent away by Arnav. Dadi ji, who only wants to ensure her granddaughter's happiness, is more than willing to be part of Shyam's plan. Little does she realize she's just another pawn in his hands (at least for now).
Something about the grey's that Appu (sonshine) wrote in her post yesterday, made me think about Shyam and his grey shades. What is making this man behave like a devil?
This picture just gave me the creeps; can't help but truly appreciate the talent of Abhaas Mehta for bringing out the best in Shyam's character.👏👏👏
I guess Arjuna asked as similar question as above to Krishna and here's something from the Bhagavad Gita:
Source: The Bhagavad Gita - The Divine Song of God
arjuna uvaca
atha kena prayukto 'yam
papam carati purushah
anicchann api varsneya
balad iva niyojitah
"Arjuna said: O descendant of Vrishni, by what is one impelled to sinful acts, even unwillingly, as if engaged by force?"
Bhagavad Gita 3.36, Karma Yoga
Shall we see Lord Krishna's response?
sri-bhagavan uvaca
kama esa krodha esa
rajo-guna-samudbhavah
mahasano maha-papma
viddhy enam iha vairinam
Bhagavad Gita 3.37, Karma Yoga
"The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: It is lust only, Arjuna, which is born of contact with the material mode of passion and later transformed into wrath, and which is the all-devouring sinful enemy of this world."
avrtam jnanam etena
jnanino nitya-vairina
kama-rupena kaunteya
duspurenanalena ca
"Thus the wise living entity's pure consciousness becomes covered by his eternal enemy in the form of lust, which is never satisfied and which burns like fire."
Bhagavad Gita 3.39, Karma Yoga
Any doubts about what's driving Shyam? It's his desire for vengeance that's burning like a fire and is being constantly fed by the state of his sister's family and also his sister's demand for justice. He'll stop at nothing and will use all means at his disposal to bring down Arnav. I really want to thank Doods for her wonderful analysis in giving us information about Shyam's past. Otherwise, his behavior would still be a mystery.
Tiny conversation with Shyam: Wait a minute Shyam, did we just hear that your plan to get Anjali to take the wrong medicine failed? Why do you think it happened and is this the first time that you've failed? No matter what you do, your righteous wife, Anjali, will always be protected by Devi Maiyya, you didn't count on that, did you? What did you just say? You'll use dadi ji when you do your biggest dhamaka at RM? You'll do something so dangerous that everyones jaws will drop and they'll have no choice but to invite you back into RM? Didn't they teach you not to count your chickens before the eggs are hatched? Let's wait and see, shall we?
Anjali Manohar Jha - Pawn 1
Hmmm, which Gita verse is appropriate for Anjali? Perhaps this:
dhumenavriyate vahnir
yathadarso malena ca
yatholbenavrto garbhas
tatha tenedam avrtam
"As fire is covered by smoke, as a mirror is covered by dust, or as the embryo is covered by the womb, the living entity is similarly covered by different degrees of this lust."
Bhagavad Gita 3.39, Karma Yoga
Anjali's one and only one desire right now is to be with her husband, come hell or high water. Even after watching her cry, I am still unable to connect with her. I think she really needs a wake-up call and Shyam is the only one who can do it. Her words of putting back things the way they were reminded me of a very old hind song, 'Koi lauta de mere bite hue din'. I know the wording is too beautiful, but it seemed to apply a little bit to Anjali's current state and hope it generates some sympathy (at least in my heart).

Jaante hain ki humare pati hume kitna pyar karte hain...Ab humara saath dene wala koi aur hain iss ghar mein - What about the entire family that's always surrounding and trying to protect and take care of you? Don't they count? Did you give that brother a thought who brought you out of killing your own babies?
Subhadara Malik (Dadi ji) - Pawn 2
I was watching a clip from The Lord of the Rings, The Two Towers - Healing the King. Can't help but think about the same healing happening to dadi where all the veils added by Shyam and herself are removed and she comes back to her original self (one can dream about it, right?).

Beti, hume sirf Arnav ki aur aap ki Khushi chahiye - Sure, we all believe you dadi. So, why not let 'Khushi' into Arnav's life? You just heard Shyam's side of the story; did your experience never teach you that 'there are two sides to a story' and that you need to hear the other side too before making a decision?
Anjali: 'Jaldi sey ghar laut aayiye
Moi confusedwa: Whose GHAR (house) are we talking about? Is it Shyam's? Of course not. Is it Arnav's? Of course, Yes. So, who are these people making decisions about Arnav's house when they are not even the owners? What gives them this authority? How selfish can these two women be? Is Anjali as egoistic as Dadi ji? I still haven't made up my mind, you see it's innocent until proven guilty, so let's wait (with whatever little patience we have) and see what happens, shall we?
Love,
