He had made up his mind on certain things. Well lets say life had thought him so. It showed him tis ugly face at an age of 14. So along many other things ,he also never wanted to walk in the conventional path regarding family life. He never wanted to fall in love. Even if he did never never lets say one more time never wanted to marry. He was very determined about that point. No amount of pressure from any side changed his mind. Having said all this, he agreed on many things with general population. Those were family values. And if a man ever gets married, he ought to respect his wife. He should never differentiate between his own family with his wife's. His inlaws would be his family. He should forever stand by his wife and be her support system.

Regarding love, he never thought he would come across a girl called Khushi who was nothing like him. And of course he was bound to hate her. The very things which was the cause of immense hate gradually turned out him being drawn to her. She became an object of his interest. She fascinated him. How ever he tried to walk away from this, he was drawn more towards her. The harder he tried the deeper he was falling. Well among all his fears, one major fear what I think is about following his father's foot steps. See his father had fallen for a lady with financially ill background and Arnav's life was turned upside down because of that lady. What is the root cause of Arnav's pain is because of that incident. So he never stopped himself from bringing up the aukaat crap. He was in a way taking revenge on that lady. And the fear in him that if he falls in love with this girl, is he becoming his father ?? Well Arnav little do you know on what path you are walking. You are a righteous person and Khushi's DM has chosen you for her daughter for this very reason . And thus Arnav fell in love with this girl. She lit up the light in every dark corners of his heart. She made his life meaningful . Brought colors in otherwise monochromatic life. As bright as sunlight but as soft as moon light. She was THE balm to his aching heart.

Regarding marriage, see during Preeto's wedding, Arnav lectured Preeto's husband what actually he thinks about marriage and its institution. That was very evident from his words. Lets step back. What ever circumstances that lead to Arnav-Khushi's marriage, but lets see what it meant to Arnav. That night he said to Shyam that Khushi is his wife and dare not come near her vicinity. And during pug pheras, he declared to the whole world that the matter was between his wife and him nobody had any business to interfere. He has never left any opportunity to let everyone know Khushi is indeed his wife.. He so believed in it. He honestly believed. And what ever led to the misunderstanding to be cleared ,it got cleared . Thank God for that. Phew!! And for Arnav it led to fall in love with Khushi more solidly than ever. He has pushed aside everything and taken it upon himself to prove it to Khushi ,himself and the entire world THAT HE IS IN LOVE WITH KHUSHI!! Not even one opportunity he is sparing. Just one thing left is to climb water tank and declare to entire Delhi and world that HE LOVES KHUSHI!! He will do it if that strikes his mind. Pagal Majnu kahi ka..!! Khushi my girl are you lucky or what!!
