Sometimes I sit and wonder.. What is that binds 2 people together? Is is the ring they put on each other's fingers when they get engaged? Is it the promises they make to each other when they marry? Is it the sindoor that is put in dulhan's maang which she puts everyday? Is is the mangal sutra around her neck that she is proud to show off? Are these things what makes a girl a wife, a lover.. Or is it something more, something deeper?

Can we even see what binds us together? Is it an object or a feeling? Is it something we can see or something we feel? Is it a group of things? Or is it just one thing that means everything to us?

I don't know about everyone.. but yesterday's bs_si post about the rituals and what they meant to her and then today sandy's question to me.. Kops do you believe in the heart and nerves connection.. got me thinking.. What do I believe in?

What makes me a wife?? Rather what makes me feel like a wife?? What makes me wanna put his name after mine?

I realised.. for me.. it was not the elaborate wedding we had.. But it was the simple act of putting that ring on my finger which makes me wanna belong to him.. every time I look at my finger and the ring on it.. I feel so close to him.. I feel as if I am a part of him.. and he is a part of me.. The ring which he gave me was the symbol of his love for me.. The sindoor, the mangal sutra, they do not hold the same importance to me.. In fact, I do not wear them on a daily basis.. But my engagement ring is one thing which I never take off..

Is this sense of belonging there because the vein from that finger goes directly to the heart? Of that I have no clue.. Well anatomically, its true to an extent.. 😊

But LOVE is not anatomy.. and anatomically heart is just an organ that pumps blood! 😆

the sense of belonging can come from anything.. It can be a simple hug, a simple kiss on the forehead, a simple confession of love, a snapshot of your moments together.. Or in the case of our beloved couple.. I believe it comes from every time they look at each other..

The instant they met, something fell into place.. It was as if an elaborate puzzle was solved.. and the final piece which was missing had come, and now the puzzle could be solved.. What was the puzzle.. Arnav Singh Raizada.. What was the final piece that fixed the puzzle,Khushi Kumari Gupta..

No matter what they did, and how hard and whatever they tried.. They BELONGED to each other.. the biggest step in their relationship was accepting the simple fact, they are ONE.. How can they not be together? The minute they walk away from each other, Arnav Singh Raizada will scatter into pieces and Khushi Kumari Gupta will have no meaning, no identity.. He is because of her.. and she is for HIM..

When Khushi explains the significance of 'the roka ceremony' and how putting the ring on the ring finger will make him his..

Arnav's simple question.. Toh kya abhi tum meri nahi ho?

Khushi's instinctive answer.. Hum toh aap hi ke hain...

It was such a romantic moment.. This is true LOVE.. you are not somebody's cause of some rituals, but because in your heart feel so.. because you believe so.. Unfortunately, we still have to go through all the rituals and ceremonies so that the relationship is socially acceptable.. Poor ASR.. 😒

My views on the rest of the episode:

1. Arnav recounts the truth of Khushi's life and her family to dadi.. Something clicks in dadi's mind.. She confirms that Khushi is not Garima's biological daughter and the fever of meeting Garima that has take over her, comes down.. She will meet her tomo at Shagun..

Poor Arnie.. Is once again left standing confused.. As if understanding Anji and Khushi was not enough.. On top of that this dadi has also started behaving mysteriously.. 😡

2. Loved the fact, that he is using that bluetooth of his to talk to someone else than Aman.. And that someone is Khushi.. The scene had that feeling of newly fixed rishta.. the boy and the girl spending their entire time talking to each other on phone.. Boy calls girl to be ready, as he is coming to meet her..

Things are bound to happen when that boy is Arnav Singh Raizada.. A surprised Khushi on hearing that he will see her soon tells him he cannot come.. To which he haughtily says.. Mujhe rokega kaun??😆

Oh! He is so sure of his position in his family..

3. Get set go.. He started down the stairs.. ready to meet his soon to be bride.. and there comes dadi with her talks of rituals.. How he is not allowed to accompany for Shagun.. NK tries to support him by pointing out, Akash went for his.. Unfortunately.. Arnav baby is left behind with a sad and pouting face.. 😔

Was there a glimpse of realisation on his face that dadi did not want him there so that she could try messing up once more??😕

4. At GH, a very tensed Garima, who it seems will fall any minute, is trying to run out of the house before the whole batallion arrives led by dadi.. She misses her by a minute.. Dadi once again looks down her nose at Bua ji and Shashi ji.. NK observes that and once again tries to diffuse the tension between them..

Bravo Nanhe Ji! You have balls of steel.. am I right, bush, shaz???😉 Standing up to dadi like that.. I sometimes feel the way she looks at you that she will say oM phut! and you will turn to ashes.. Be very careful.. we want you around for a long long time..

5. With some hindrance from dadi, and a little push from bua ji the ceremony starts and Khushi is seated right next to DADi.. Dadi once again makes it clear that Khushi and Arnav cannot see each other after haldi till marriage..

Tabhi ek awaaz aati hai.. Wait, phir toh main bilkul sahi time par aaya hoon!!😛

The change in expressions on dadi's face was hilarious.. 😆

NK: Nannav, you naughty boy!!

Dadi asks him how could he come when she once told him not to come for shagun!

Arnav: You told me, i cannot come for shagun.. you have already given her that.. and I cannot meet her after haldi.. there is still time for that.. I can be with her now.. technically I am not disobeying you at any point..LAWYERED!!! 😃

Take that dadi!😆

6. Hi.. Oh god! Trust Arnav to make you squeal like a teenager!!😳

He enters, he tells i need to speak to Khushi in private.. He notices that Khushi is paralysed in shock.. he walks towards her, bends and takes her by the hand!😲

AMAZING!! what authority! Only ASR can do that.. No one and I MEAN NO ONE has it in them to do such a thing and yet look absolutely normal.. I trust him to even lift her up in his arms and take her away had she done the mistake of digging her heels..😳

7. Dadi.. once again disgusted by the lack of respect shown by Her grandson.. 😆

I pity her.. She is left with no other choice but to complain to nani, about his behaviour and utter disregard for rituals and HER..

I know where the problem lies.. See the Raizada clan is aware of Arnav's disbelief in all rituals, customs, god, pooja, aarti. They have been desensitised over the years..

Now this dadi has come out of her self inflicted exile, last time she saw him he was an impressionable young man, who adored his dadi.. This time around, he is brick walling her at every step.. She will take time to learn how the things move in Mr Arnav Singh Raizada's world..

She is able to make everyone cower in fear, except him and NK.. Probably in Ashram also ppl must have run around doing her bidding..

Secondly.. I would like to say, if Shyam is indeed responsible for her return.. I am sure that Shyam did not know about the past being interlaced with Khushi's and Garima's past.. I think Snakewa has once again overplayed his hand.. Last time he was unaware of Arnav-Khushi equation... this time he is unaware of dadi-garima equation.. So basically, its jus like shyam to mess up his own plans!!👏

8. On an off note.. I seriously feel as if Arnav is intentionally trying to p**s her off.. I remembered from one of the very early episodes when there was a debate going on about letting lavanya come and saty with ASR.. Anji had asked Arnav..

"kahin tum yeh sab kewal nani ko pareshan karne ke liye toh nahi kar rahe ho"

So according to Anji, Arnav is quite capable of doing certain things to irritate people.. I really hope, he continues doing so.. Love how dadi, always starts puffing like a steam engine every time he does something for Khushi and her family!😃
